I coordinated with Matt about a party I was having at Trace Brewing. He was super responsive and helped me plan to provide food for our guests which was great. Everyone absolutely loved the food and each order was done super quickly. I'm a big fan of the Yinzer Wit Cheesesteak with Seitan. This is such a great meat alternative and the sandwich is always delicious. It has caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato and a choice of cheese. I wish I had snapped a photo, but I ate it too quickly . We just had a little sample as part of a tour but it was such a good wing I have to tell you about it. Crispy on the outside and the meat legit fell off the bone. This food truck shows up at different breweries but I most often see them at Grist House. Fries are a great snack while drinking and we weren't feeling like a whole meal so we got an order of cheese fries. They were crispy and hot with a decent amount of cheese. They were pretty good but maybe a tad on the expensive side. It's definitely a better option than the little bags of chips some breweries sell though. I haven't tried anything else on the menu so can only speak to the fries. read more

This place was how the kids would say "FIRE" haha. I fell in love with this place instantly! Service is always friendly and quick! I was attracted to this place because on the menu it said that the chicken wings are "fall off the bone" I have had MANY of chicken wings in my life, so I had to see what this was all about! Turns out that the chef actually confits the wings. *Grab a napkin to wipe that drool, yes, I said he confits thew wings*. The wings legitimately fall of the bones! Like seriously, the first time I tried them I was like "Is this chicken?? This cannot be a chicken wing!" INSTANTLY hooked! I started off trying the 24K Gold wings, it's like a mild buffalo-ish type of sauce. Definitely has a unique flavor. Not your average wing flavor! I also tried the Garlic Parm flavor which was also very good! I still have the 24K gold as my go to selection at the moment! I have also had the Wiz cheesesteak which is a very traditional, very delicious cheesesteak with cheese wiz. I have had it twice and loved it. The 2nd time it was a little on the saltier side, nothing to take away any points for! Just mentioning it because remember people is cheese wiz, know what you are getting yourself into! Lol. It is still a banger. Next time I would probably try one of the other cheesesteaks too to compare. They are a little harder to find because they aren't one of the super active social media accounts so you really have to be looking for them! Had truly some of the best wings of my life -- they are literally fall-off-the-bone tender and I enjoyed both the garlic parm and dim sum sauces. Their fries are top tier -- crispy and well-seasoned. Cheesesteak was 4/5. Definitely solid, but we've had better at our local place in Michigan. read more

My wife and I walked to Trace Brewing for dinner during a stay with our daughter at Pittsburgh's Children's Hopsital. We ordered the Pittsburgh Wiz Wit and the Walking Wiz Wit. After ordering, he went ahead and took payment from the couple who ordered after us so I told him I don't think we paid. He said he saw our Children's Hospital name tags and that we weren't paying for anything. As he finished our order, he asked me my favorite wings sauce and threw in an order of those, fries, and a Diet Coke as well. We were speechless by the act of geneosity and loved every bite of the food. The wings truly did fall off the bone! read more

Cheesesteak contained very little meat. I ordered with lettuce and tomato - there was a sliver of tomato found in one half and a wilted piece of lettuce. The wings were indeed "fall off the bone" tender, but so incredibly salty that we ended up throwing half of them away. Would not eat there again. read more

Got two Wiz Wit steak subs and it was pretty disgusting. Chewy meat that we had to keep spitting out. Couldn't even finish the sandwiches. Fries were good, but they charge $10! Over priced for poor quality meat. read more

I stopped by here earlier today by myself for dinner. Our neighborhood has food trucks come in every other Thursday and this weeks food truck happened to be Streets On The Fly! It's the food truck of the Streets On Carson restaurant. Since it's a food truck, there's not much to say about it other than it was painted with a fries and cheesesteak mural across it and was being worked by 2 employees on this day. The menu here is also limited, which may be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. With that being said, I think doing less but doing it better is preferable to doing more. For dinner on this day I ended up ordering the wiz wit and then also ordered a side of fries for my wife. The wiz wit was described on the menu as fresh shaved ribeye, caramelized onions, amaroso roll and cheez wiz. It took maybe 5 minutes for me to get to my food after ordering and I was on my way home to eat it. What I can tell you is that the cheesesteak was really hot and that I had to keep shifting it in my hands to stop myself from getting burnt. Whenever I got home I first dug into the sandwich and I have to admit that even though I was somewhat skeptical of it, it was pretty tasty. As a matter of fact it was light years better than the Geno's one I bought at the Philly airport, but maybe that's not a great comparison. In any case, the meat here was juicy and flavorful while the caramelized onions added a pop of flavor and the wiz added a nice savoryness to my cheesesteak. Finally the bread was nice as it was firm but not too hard and I actually thought the bread to meat ratio was pretty great. Once I had finished with that I tried the fresh cut fries and have to admit that they were pretty good too. They were super crispy on the outside without being over cooked and had a nice seasoning flavor to them. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future. Both my cheesesteak and the fries were quite good and now I can only wish that some of the more unique dishes from their restaurant make an appearance on their food truck. read more

I was psyched to see a cheesesteak on the menu, a sort of real deal Philly version too wit wiz. That's what sealed my decision to come to Hitchhiker today. Have a cheesesteak and some beers for lunch. The menu, as you can see is simplistic but good. I walked up to the sound of rap music blaring and the person inside singing right along. He's was friendly and promptly took my order. I was expecting a wait, order my food, go get a drink and come back later when food is done. I didn't do this, as it appears as though they pre-cook the meat and just heat it up on the flattop. In a matter of minutes my food was ready. When I opened it, it was a cheesy mess, not uncommon with a cheesesteak. I sat down to feast. The roll seemed fresh and doughy. Something, I'm guessing the meat was way too salty though. It wasn't horrible, just way way too salty. Too bad. read more

The owner clearly reeked of/recently was around the smell of marijuana. Used no gloves after handling the credit card transaction. Poor hygiene practices and after ordering and witnessing this gross display of unhygienic behavior, there was zero chance I would eat the sandwich that I ordered. Zero excuse for this gross display of total lack of basic cleanliness protocol. Not to mention his utter careless regard for his profanity laced language while in conversation with others. Streets on the fly food truck plays the best of the early 90s jams on their speakers as they serve their incredible hoagies. They know about warm spice. The food is great. Don't get me wrong. But the tunes are warm spice. They say don't go chasing waterfalls, but stick to the streets in the fly that you are used to. I know that your going to have it your way or nothing at all, but I think you're moving too fast. read more
