The wiz / 24K Gold wings
    Chelsey D.

This place was how the kids would say "FIRE" haha. I fell in love with this place instantly! Service is always friendly and quick! I was attracted to this place because on the menu it said that the chicken wings are "fall off the bone" I have had MANY of chicken wings in my life, so I had to see what this was all about! Turns out that the chef actually confits the wings. *Grab a napkin to wipe that drool, yes, I said he confits thew wings*. The wings legitimately fall of the bones! Like seriously, the first time I tried them I was like "Is this chicken?? This cannot be a chicken wing!" INSTANTLY hooked! I started off trying the 24K Gold wings, it's like a mild buffalo-ish type of sauce. Definitely has a unique flavor. Not your average wing flavor! I also tried the Garlic Parm flavor which was also very good! I still have the 24K gold as my go to selection at the moment! I have also had the Wiz cheesesteak which is a very traditional, very delicious cheesesteak with cheese wiz. I have had it twice and loved it. The 2nd time it was a little on the saltier side, nothing to take away any points for! Just mentioning it because remember people is cheese wiz, know what you are getting yourself into! Lol. It is still a banger. Next time I would probably try one of the other cheesesteaks too to compare. They are a little harder to find because they aren't one of the super active social media accounts so you really have to be looking for them! They do have a brick and mortar location in the south side too! I just haven't made it there yet! The truck is good enough for my fix!

Happened to be at Trace Brewing for drag brunch and this truck was there. Had truly some of the best wings of my life -- they are literally fall-off-the-bone tender and I enjoyed both the garlic parm and dim sum sauces. Their fries are top tier -- crispy and well-seasoned. Cheesesteak was 4/5. Definitely solid, but we've had better at our local place in Michigan.

I stopped by here earlier today by myself for dinner. Our neighborhood has food trucks come in every other Thursday and this weeks food truck happened to be Streets On The Fly! It's the food truck of the Streets On Carson restaurant. Since it's a food truck, there's not much to say about it other than it was painted with a fries and cheesesteak mural across it and was being worked by 2 employees on this day. The menu here is also limited, which may be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. With that being said, I think doing less but doing it better is preferable to doing more. For dinner on this day I ended up ordering the wiz wit and then also ordered a side of fries for my wife. The wiz wit was described on the menu as fresh shaved ribeye, caramelized onions, amaroso roll and cheez wiz. It took maybe 5 minutes for me to get to my food after ordering and I was on my way home to eat it. What I can tell you is that the cheesesteak was really hot and that I had to keep shifting it in my hands to stop myself from getting burnt. Whenever I got home I first dug into the sandwich and I have to admit that even though I was somewhat skeptical of it, it was pretty tasty. As a matter of fact it was light years better than the Geno's one I bought at the Philly airport, but maybe that's not a great comparison. In any case, the meat here was juicy and flavorful while the caramelized onions added a pop of flavor and the wiz added a nice savoryness to my cheesesteak. Finally the bread was nice as it was firm but not too hard and I actually thought the bread to meat ratio was pretty great. Once I had finished with that I tried the fresh cut fries and have to admit that they were pretty good too. They were super crispy on the outside without being over cooked and had a nice seasoning flavor to them. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future. Both my cheesesteak and the fries were quite good and now I can only wish that some of the more unique dishes from their restaurant make an appearance on their food truck.

This was actually the second time that this truck had visited and I was excited because I knew their empanadas were good. Since it's a food truck, there's not too much to say about it other than it's pretty nondescript as a food truck and that there were two people working inside on this day. For our dinner on this day I ordered the chicken Diablo fries while my wife ordered the steak fries. Then we also ordered one each of their three empanadas: chicken, shrimp and beef. On my previous visit I had also tried the chonpon and like it, especially with the chimichurri. On this day there wasn't a big crowd and so our food came out in a more than reasonable time period. The empanadas were as good as I remembered here as the dough is crazy light and airy but with a nice texture to it. Out of the three empanadas, the shrimp was my favorite but I have to admit that all 3 were good. After those I moved onto my chicken Diablo fries and can confirm that they were spicy. What initially looked like tomatoes was actually a well spiced pepper that not only had a bit of heat but a great flavor as well. Then the chicken was cooked nicely and who doesn't love fries and cheese? My only complaint was that the fries weren't as crispy as I would have liked. Meanwhile my daughter ate all of the steak off of the fries she was sharing with my wife and enough of the fries and cheese that we bought another. So clearly it was a winner for both her and my wife. That extra fries actually had much crispier fries on it and I wonder if it just took a while for their fryer to heat up. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both times that we have been here my wife and I have enjoyed the food and especially thought that the empanadas were a home run.

I enjoyed grabbing some quick empanadas when I saw the Baires food truck in my neighborhood. I'll…read morehave to catch them again to try out other menu items.

Prices are a little higher as you are paying for convenience. The food was yummy & I had no complaints as it was made in a jiffy. The texture and flavor paired together great with my chorizo taco. Now to the negatives!!! carnitas and the taco shells Firstly, the carnitas should have never been sold, I would have been absolutely okay if they suggested to order something else. The meat was so dry, like almost jerky dry. Not only were they extremely dry and cold, the portion was extremely small. The taco shells was also a let down. They looked and tasted as if they were (probably are) generic store brand shells. 5+ bucks for a taco, the shell needs to be better. yellow rice Dry and tasteless! Nuff said Hopefully they fix these issues cause there's a lot of potential!

Bonus points for being in Mount Washington, which allowed us to ride the Monongahela Incline up and the Duquesne Incline down. Yes it was a bit of a walk but Bigham Tavern was worth it! It was a Monday night, so there was also live music. Crowd was reasonable and we were seated at a comfortable table with a good view of the television. Our waitress was awesome, so patient! Her patience was tested because we don't drink much and wanted to order the food gradually throughout the game. We benefited from happy hour pricing for a tasty pickle dip and glasses of wine. We added some outstanding wings, so many great flavors to choose from! Next phase was an outstanding gluten free pesto and mozzarella pizza! Crust was too good to be true! The game was rough at first but turned around in time for me to order the Big Ham sandwich with a side of kale salad. The sandwich was delicious and served on a pretzel bun. The kale salad was an awesome side dish, tons of flavor! The game kept improving and we enjoyed the rest of it in the bar area with some great fans. Lots of televisions. Great neighborhood vibe! Will gladly return when we're back in town!
