Bbq sauce nicely complemented the pineapple against the savory garlic chicken. Makes your mouth ooze with excitement, it's ok I get it. We got takeout on a weekday evening from here and the food was ready in a short time. We got a samosa appetizer and two kathi rolls - one achari paneer roll and the other a nizami chicken kebab roll. They were out of the rumali roti which is the wrap for the nizami roll and they were nice enough to mention that as I placed my order. I requested them to use the same roti as the other wraps. The samosa was tasty and a little spicy, spice is not something I typically see with samosa fillings here. The kathi rolls were also spicy, not to a level that we could not eat it but it definitely had us sniffling. Both rolls were flavorful, I would say the chicken kebab won over the paneer roll because the achari flavor of the paneer was a little salty. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the size of the wraps. As you can see, they were quite tiny. I expected them to be more like burrito style given the price but they were rather small. Flavor-wise, I'll say they're on point 5/5. Value for money, is harder to say more like a 3/5. read more

Incredible food and the customer service is utterly amazing!! My husband and I ordered thru grubhub and the driver did not deliver. When we called the restaurant to ask about the delivery they were so apologetic and frustrated on our behalf that this happened to us. They remade our food despite having just closed and delivered it themselves. They are awesome!! Fantastic food! Fresh flavors in everything. My chicken biryani was excellent and the garlic naan was great. My husband had the chicken tikka pizza and really enjoyed that. Server as cheerful and helpful explaining items on the menu. Owner came out and greeted us after our meal. Only surprising thing was when I asked for glass of ice for my soda with my meal. But no cups or glasses for soda, just cold can out of the refrigerator. But I can understand how it's a simple way to reduce some overhead cost. Small trade off for excellent food. This place was recommended to us by a local businessman. We ordered two dishes. When the owner understood we preferred lamb to goat, she modified the dish for us. The food was incredible. The quantity was excellent. Though you order up at the register prior to eating, the staff came regularly to make sure we were doing OK. While the restaurant has an extensive menu, and it is Indian and Indian fusion, we stuck to more traditional dishes. I found Street Kitchen while searching Uber Eats for Indian restaurants in Central Massachusetts. The extensive menu includes Indo-Chinese offerings as well as pizza. I always welcome a departure from traditional recipes towards something more creative and exciting, so my favorite items on the Street Kitchen menu are the very non-traditional Indian and Indo-Chinese pizzas, including the saag chicken pizza, the manchurian chicken pizza, and the szechuan chicken pizza. The flavors are bold, as one would expect, and the portions are generous. The chicken tikka pasta is also very satisfying. A friend recommended this spot because of the unique "Indian-style" pizzas. That sounded great so I had to try. I ordered 2 pizzas online in their website and picked up at the location. I wished their website had pictures of the individual foods but the descriptions are useful. Their location only has street parking. Now, straight to the foods. First pizza I ordered was the Bombay Chicken pizza, which has Bombay-style Garlic-infused Chicken, Pineapple Mango Curry, Green Bell Peppers, Mozzarella cheese. My friends and I enjoyed this pizza. It was very flavorful and sweet. Our only small suggestions are that the toppings should have more coverage on the pizza. In the pictures I attached, you see that they spread the toppings only in a small area inside the circle of the pizza. So, when you pick up a slice of pizza, most of the slice is plain and crust. The crust was also very basic. I was hoping that they designed the pizza where the crust had some kind of naan consistency. But overall, I give them points for a flavorful and unique fusion idea. The second pizza we order was the Total Desi pizza, which had Lamb Keema, Chicken Tikka, Red Onions, Green Chillies, Cilantro, Cheese. My friends preferred the Bombay chicken pizza over this one. This pizza was good also but the flavor does not pop like the Bombay Chicken pizza. The same suggestions on the toppings and crust also apply to this pizza as well. Overall, kind of pricey for the pizza but it is a very unique Indian-American fusion idea that I think works very well together. They also get points for making it fresh when ordered too. Street kitchen has a really extensive menu. We just couldn't decide what to order. After mulling over for half an hour at home, we finally decided to go with desi pizza. We got our food delivered. This place has really good desi pizza. We ordered two pizzas 1) Total desi pizza and 2) paneer 65 Pizza. Both the pizzas were really good and very tasty. The only reason I give them four stars is for the fact that, the lamb kheema topping on the total desi was so little when compared to the chicken topping. It would have ben nicer to have more lamb toppings on the pizza. We will definitely be going back to check out other pizzas and their extensive menu. read more

I finally got around to trying out Street Kitchen tonight, and let me tell you, I now have a new choice for favorite Indian cuisine. If you love Indian food, give it a try, if you have never had Indian food, give it a try. Their fusion filled menu will give you plenty to choose from. Chicken Tikka pizza? Saag chicken pizza? Yes please! Not only that, but I also tried the chicken 65 and it was incredible. I can't wait to work my way through this menu especially when it is prepared by an incredibly friendly staff. Generally, the food's good here, though it's kinda hit or miss. The biggest issue I think is that there's too many things on the menu, so different curries tend to have a similar profile and that kind of thing. The Thali plate is lacking for sure. They give one dal, one veg/meat option, and the to-go plate they serve it on is clumsy and a mess. On the other hand, the Manchurian chicken, samosa, and khati rolls are quite fantastic. Tried this today for the first time. I ordered a lunch special with chicken Tikka Masada, rice a samosa and Naan. The flavors were great. However the order total as 23$ the Tikka had about 5 small inch pieces of chicken about half cup of rice, one samosa and one piece of Naan. The Naan was over $3 per individual piece. Street Kitchen is a cozy Indian fusion place with great food. It is a sit down restaurant but you order the food at the counter and eat at the table. The food here was awesome. We ordered the chicken tikka pizza and the garlic noodles with chicken. The noodles were garlicky as they should be, not oily or saucy, yet the noodles were coated in a spicy garlicky sauce. The spice level was perfect. Other places that serve indo-Chinese tend to make this sweet and sour and saucy. This was nothing like that. The chicken tikka pizza was done well too. The raw onion was a bit unexpected in a chicken tikka pizza. The kids loved it. The chicken tikka was seasoned well and again not oily. Now that I know the owner is the same as that of the "Chinese Mirch" in Shrewsbury, which we loved, I will be visiting more often. Keep up the good food. read more

Let me start by saying that these guys used to delivery really good food. I was a regular and had also ordered for some events from here. But, things have changed for the worse. Today was the third time I ordered from here in the last 2 months and had to thrash the food. Who makes a Pizza hot (hot to the level that you have tears rolling down while chewing it). Who makes hakka noodles loaded with chili flakes(hot to the level that you have to alternate every bite with OJ). Very disappointing. Another friend who was with me mentioned ordering pizza from here and asking them to make it mild. lol. Where in the world do you have to define spicyness for a pizza order. I finally give up and have to start looking for a place that can serve good Indian food which is mild and suited to the palate. Nice Cafe styled restaurant with a warm environmental ambiance. But, I was less than happy with the greeting, and the three star rating is the sole reason this review is written as such. It seemed staff behind the counter were busy cooking and fulfilling orders, I didn't feel welcomed initially due to the cold greeting and interactions I received. Staff were attentive nonetheless. This observation does not take away from the food and menu items. We ordered many options because of our desire to taste as many dishes possible without breaking the bank, nor going into high glycemic, high glucose diabetic overload shock! The minute I took possession of our order, the aromatic senses just were overwhelming positively! That was a good sign. Street Kitchen has a very creative menu which includes Indian flavors on pizzas, wraps, and bowls, along with more traditional takeout fare and some local touches such as Frango Ao Catupiry (Brazilian pizza). I picked up the menu for this new (Oct 2019) restaurant in the Lost Shoe Brewing and Roasting Company (love their cold brew!) and resolved to try the place as soon as possible. I made a takeout order online from work because I wanted to meet them when picking up, rather than get delivery. I noted this in my order and received a warm welcome when I came in near their 10PM closing time. (Commuting from Boston, I sure appreciate their late weeknight hours!) The place is spare but sufficient for a quick meal; it seems more focused on food to go. I ordered a variety of the special items to get a general sense of the place two Indian pizzas, an app and a rice bowl. The Keema Delight had chopped lamb, green chillies, and red onions on top of cheese with tomato sauce. I can't remember if the sauce or just the meat had special seasoning, but the overall flavor definitely tasted unique, aromatic with spices and had a kick from the chillies! It was great. The other pizza was a Bombay Bhaji, about as pleasantly unusual a pizza as I can remember having. This one had a filling under the cheese. The filling was "mashed vegetables" which I think were soft-cooked squash and maybe something like turnip -- savory but not starchy or bitter. This was seasoned with ginger, garlic, fresh cilantro, onions and lemon. It was not like fried onion bhaji with chickpea flour (which I love); instead it had more in common with a butternut squash ravioli and again had great flavor. I appreciated that the seasoning was entirely different from the Keema Delight. I also ordered a Channa Masala rice bowl. This is a straightforward Indian standard and I appreciated that the basmati rice was served in a separate container so that I could portion it myself. I enjoyed this and it is nice to know I have somewhere close to home I can get it. I think the biggest surprise was the Veg Kebabs appetizer. I had ordered the Chicken Tikka Kebabs, but they were out of them and contacted me several ways to notify me and get a changed order. I appreciated this because I was commuting in my car, didn't see the email but was able to answer my phone and talk to Bhash, an owner, who recommended the Veg as a substitute. When I got home and opened the kebabs, instead of what I expected -- some kind of skewered vegetables -- I found about 6 smooth finger-shaped fritters or croquettes that seemed to be made of the chickpea flour batter used for traditional bhaji! This seemed to have spinach and other pureed vegetables mixed into it and had a great dipping sauce. They were soft, delicious and satisfying. So I got the unusual bhaji pizza AND bhaji-like croquettes! Win-win! Plus there are nice varieties like pasta, Indian style pizza, noodles, wraps etc.. Order online and pick up in store. The store has some good seating.. I would love to give this place a 5 star review after visiting for the first time, but my experience with the host/server/cashier, Samara, was anything but pleasant. I'll start off by saying the food was tasty and I thought that the portions were fair. There's so much that the menu offers, how could anyone not want to come back and try something different, right? Well...I probably won't be returning if Samara is helping me. I'm not expecting exceptional service all the time, especially when just getting take out, but a smile or even just a little bit of politeness would have been nice for the first experience visiting Street Kitchen. We did take out to supplement our homemade Indian food (Keema, Yellow Dal & Aloo Gobi) - we bought the goat Biryani and the Mirch chicken 65. The mirch chicken was reminiscent of Gen. Tsao chicken - except not as much batter and more Indian style spices to it - This was a big hit with my husband and the kids - in fact he likes it so much he keeps taking pieces of the leftovers and popping them into his mouth like they are candy. The Goat Biryanis was excellent - there are whole spices in it, so it you feel resistance take the cardamom seed or whole clove out of your mouth before chomping down again! The rice in the Biryani was cooked perfectly and the Raita seemed a little sweet at first but the consistency and flavor complemented the Biryani perfectly! I've ordered from here twice and both times I've loved every morsel! Tonight I introduced my parents to the food. We got the Total Desi pizza, Chana Masala roll, a large Meatball Madness and some jalapeño poppers. Everything was so great and my dad was brought right back to one of his first jobs making house made meatballs in a kitchen. He said he could tell the meatballs were house made and he loved the sub. We wanted to try a more local Indian place instead of driving to Maynard or Sudbury. Disappointing. We tried 3 curries-Veg Korma, Paneer Tikka Masala, & Goat Curry. Our order only came with 2 very small sides of rice, hardly enough for one person, never mind 3. The garlic naan was good but an order of it was only one slide instead of the typical 2 slices. The goat curry and tikka masala were good. The veg korma was inedible-it was gritty-so weird-and the chunks of vegetable were huge and overcooked. Very meh experience. Maybe it was a different chef working or something? Not worth trying again. Don't get what the hype is all about. read more

I had been looking forward to trying Street Kitchen for a while and finally visited with my family. We tried the following dishes : - Chicken Kadhai with Rumaali Roti Chicken Kadhai is served with rice. It has the classic kadhai flavor, very well freshly cooked chicken and veggies. I was really happy find that they serve Rumaali roti. I really enjoyed the chicken kadhai but my personal opinion is that they could lower the spice level just a wee bit. Also note that they do appear open to any special requests for your dishes. - Manchurian Chicken Pizza Really good indo-chinese fusion pizza. The whole family loved it. - Chicken Tikka Pasta This was also flavorful and unique combination of chicken tikka with pasta. - Aloo Unda and Chicken Unda Kathi Rolls I think their Kathi rolls are best in our area. Many other places just add Garam masala to their Kathi roll stuffings. Street Kitchen has that unique Kathi roll masala taste. Both the chicken and the potato were fresh and great tasting rolls. Overall the kathi rolls and chicken Manchurian were the family favorites. The service was friendly and superb!! For me this was a 5 star worthy experience. I am knocking off a star mainly for the use of some plastic and styrofoam. I know this is more due to the pandemic and I hope post-pandemic they serve and pack everything in compostable containers. Bottomline I highly recommend to anyone who wants to take a stab at Indian street flavors and some Indian fusion dishes.
