    Shrimp Tacos!!

So good!!!!!!! So Fresh!!! Great Options for Vegetarians!!! Service was awesome!! Will definitely be going back!!!!!

    Burnt Veggie Quesadilla

I know this place is new just hoping they iron out the kinks. I stopped in for take out. The decor is really cute Orange & Black...Spanish music playing. Ordered Two Shrimp Tacos, Veggie Quesadilla, & Chips and Salsa. Shrimp Tacos $3.75 Each...were just ok...Shrimp were nice size just a little flavorless. One of my Pet Peeves With Tacos is when they are double wrapped!! So now I have two tortillas falling apart?? Neither were cooked enough. Chips were very greasy but didn't look like they were & the salsa looks like it can from the supermarket section of Mild sauces. Veggie Quesadilla $9! Awful. It was burnt, soggy & empty How do you achieve burnt & soggy? BTW: Joe's dive bar down the block has one that is a hundred times better and $3 cheaper! Prices were all over the place...$5 for Guacamole?!?!!!!?? That's insane. I asked when ordering how big it is and the cashier made it seem like it was just a regular size which is probably 2ounces?? That's ridiculous. Glad I didn't get it...My meal was $22 and Tasteless. I won't be back.

The food is so good! I loved the nachos that we started with. Then I got some tacos and they were outstanding. Great experience and service.

It appears to be permanently closed already. I walked by today, and all the signs had been removed and the doors were locked.

Is this place still open? Tried to find last night, drove by 216 E Broad twice looking for it, never saw it.

Being in the mood for some Mexican food, decided to try Torre. Been here once before but it's been…read moreover 10 years. I believe the restaurant has been remodeled since then. It looked really nice and I just loved the bar area. Very cool. Our waitress, Rylee, was very pleasant, even though it was very busy there. Ordered an App of guacamole and chips to get started. The guac wasn't very flavorful, seemed to be missing some spices or something. For an entrée, I got the Los Cabos tacos which had blue corn-crusted Maui Maui in them. These were really delicious. I'd certainly come back for more of these.

Torre is a beautiful restaurant. The building is impressive, the atmosphere is pleasant and…read morecomfortable, and the staff is friendly, although service can be slow. One positive: when we had a complaint about a visibly overcooked item that was burnt black, the manager handled it quickly and professionally. He did not stop at the table, but he offered a comp without quibbling, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that was the highlight. Upon entering, the host made no eye contact while asking, "Can I help you?" while he looked up at the TV changing the channel with the remote in his hand. Rule #1: Make eye contact with your guests when they arrive. Your TV can wait. (Common sense??) This was my third visit, and the food was no better than the first two times. Torre is the perfect example of a restaurant that spent heavily on the building, decorations, and flashy multicolored tequila tower, but not nearly enough attention on the actual food. The food is mediocre at best, light on flavor, and wildly overpriced. $15 for two tiny chicken enchiladas with absolutely nothing else on the plate? Not even adorned by any garnish of any kind. Then $5 extra for a little rice and another $5 extra for black beans? That is outrageous. The chicken in the enchiladas was dry, and parts of the corn tortilla were hard. The tortilla chips were so thin they barely held up to the guacamole. The salsa was decent, but the guacamole portion was tiny. If you want an upscale-looking place and care more about atmosphere than food, portions, or value, Torre may be for you. But if you actually want flavorful, satisfying Mexican food at a reasonable price, you can do much better. Plaza Azteca -- around the corner (Saucon Valley Square--3731 PA-378, Bethlehem) or the location on Lehigh Street in Allentown -- offers FAR better food, MUCH better value, and a MUCH more enjoyable meal overall. Torre LOOKS great. It just does not EAT great. You leave unsatisfied... likely hungry... with little more than a good deal less money to show for it. HOT TIP: Definitely go to Torre to look at the cool Tequila tower. Watch it change colors. Then get back in your car and drive to Plaza Azteca to eat.

So this is a review, 13 years in the making…read more I used to work in the Allentown area and one of my coworkers suggested stopping for lunch. I had passed Cali Burrito several times but didn't know much about it. My life was forever changed. My tried and true order is the 'Humbolt". It's perfect in every way and it appeases to vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I have turned several of my friends, family and coworkers on to Cali Burrito over the years. Id like to mention I lived in San Diego and the burritos in Allentown, Pa far exceeded any burrito found in the Golden State. I now live in Virginia Beach area and my love for Cali Burritos knows no distance. Yesterday, I had to take a drive into the area and you better believe I stopped in for a burrito. 720 miles, round trip and worth every mile.

I finally managed to get my car in Cali's parking lot. But, I had to wait for another patron (which…read moredidn't take long) to arrive and I followed them into the restaurant. It's not easy to figure out where the enrtance is. Okay, so I ordered the the ground beef tacos for $12 bucks. You get 2 tacos in a basket with tortilla chips. The chips are a bit weird and different, still not sure how much I liked them. Like Moe's, they have a salsa bar with 4 salsa choices along with various condiments. The salsa's are tasty and I like the flavor in all 3 I tried. I ordered tacos and what they brought to my table resembled a tacos, but the taco expectation ended there. These so called tacos, to me, aren't realy tacos at all. Their assembelled usinf both a hard shell and a soft shell (Taco Bell offers something similar). Whatever you call it, taco is not the thought that comed to mind when eating it. I was hungry and did manage to eat both of the tacos, but considered throwing out the 2nd taco. I was confused and unsure what I was eating. The ground beef wasn't bad, but my main complaint at a Mexican Eatery nearby (Plaza Azteca} is the same. The ground beef is unseasoned. This is fundamentally wrong to me. All the Taco Kits at the grocery store come with a seasoning packet to add to the ground beef when preparing the tacos. I left unhappy, that's not to say I wouldn't try their burrito's. They looked good as seen on other patrons tables. I'm 70 years old and the theme of Cali reminds me of the 60's/70's. The decor, interior, and interior are psychedelic. Retro throwback to the hippie days. The staff reflects that theme - they came across in a kind weird way to me; but not in a bad way! Their is no shortage of happy campers enjoying their lunch (I went at 1PM). It seems like a cult following which speaks to the freshness and quality of the food served. I'm still unsure what was in the alleged tacos I ate. Lol!
