The raffle included an 8-hr session (design being part of the time slot). The shop is located in the very corner of an old shopping plaza (same one as Popeye's) right off the 37 and Sonoma Blvd. The signage was actually covered by a large tree so we had a little trouble confirming if we were at the right place until we got out our car. The inside is super clean with multiple stations for each artist. I messaged Victoria via Instagram with my ideas of what I wanted, and she was super responsive and also gave valuable advice. She specializes in black and white, and doesn't to portraits (yet!). The day of the actual procedure, Victoria was so nice and accommodating. Our session went from around 10am to 4pm, which included time for her to draw out my idea (and adding extra embellishments/creative freedom), which I loved. It has been a little over a week since, and it is healing up perfectly. I really appreciated the patience and extra care, and felt like I was taken care of even before getting into the studio. Highly recommend!

I've spent a while lotta' time in Vallejo with other artists and the style that I was looking for was the American Tradition slash Sailor Jerry type vibe - in which my previous artists couldn't follow through on since their styles were a little different. Fortunately Kai was able to fit me on a Monday and our appointment was set up for 2 o'clock on a ungodly hot day. The shop is in an older home converted into the tattoo parlor with no A/C so your only options are fans and drinking cold waters. Thus, in the future I will only be planning on getting tatts from Kai on cooler days. Unlike my previous artists, she was (obviously) female and we connected really well so my three hour session went by pretty quick with a few smoke breaks. She was awesome and honestly, this chick has a good head on her shoulders... from what I can tell. We talked about her art work, her travels, her personal life from all over the country, and she showed me some of her drawings that she was working on. Her work was amazing. Perfect and better than I could of imagined. It's one thing to see the stencil and another to see the finished piece on yourself. Surprisingly she admitted that American Traditional was something she wanted to work more on but with the work she did on me - she definitely delivered. The red was brilliant and the shading was amazing. The tattoo is healing and the red is still vibrant. For sure I'll be going back to her in the future since I plan on adding more to my piece. More of her work is on FB Ink by Cobra Kai. Thank you Kai!

I can't stop mentioning how much I love the ladies at Red Genie :)…read more For the lonnnnngest I can remember I've been wanting my lip pierced! Finally, last weekend Elaine pierced my lip for me for $50. Yes $50. It is healing beautifully but for some reason people like to argue with me about how much I paid.... well.. Here's my thoughts. I could have spent $0 to do the piercing myself and use an old piece of jewelry I have... or had Jim Bob do it in his living room... but then I'd spend, I don't know, TOO MUCH in medical costs once my lip got infected and fell off! No, I love being here. Everything is sterile and they show you and explain it every single time. Every-Single-Time. So that $50 is going towards a piece of mind knowing that my body is being punctured by only the cleanest pieces of equipment they have. Also included in the price is their phenomenal customer service. And I did happen to take the ball out of my ring but I took it to them and they put it back no charge with sterile equipment once again. *sigh* if there were ever anyone to trust my body to piercings it would be Miss Elaine. Thank you darling.
