I had a very poor experience by thinking I could take my kid in to get her ears pierced. I waited in the lobby to be assisted by anybody working there, and to my surprise there was two gentlemen that I didn't know worked in there who were smoking up marijuana fest on the sidewalk. They came in reeking like weed smoke I change my mind instantly and walked out with my child. There was no way I was gonna let anyone that's impaired, pierce my child's ears. It's a bad look to run a business you may encounter minors with their parents coming in contact with you while you're stoned out. I definitely would not support this business or encourage anyone with children to walk in there and have any trust in getting piercings or tattoos by people that are under the influence of Mary J. Most recently we were invited to dinner at the place next to them, and again encountered One of the two same individuals that works at the piercing shop smoking and choking on his joint . I didn't even wanna walk past them on the sidewalk because it was such a despicable and I surely didn't want my children to have that encounter with that smoke either. Unless you approve of this type of lifestyle and you're OK with somebody being high doing this type of stuff and a shop like this, it would be your choice, but not mine. read more

I've got A-LOT of piercings; so I'm just gonna do a general review for anyone shopping around for the right artist. All the piercings I've gotten here were done right. They healed quickly, they've lasted and they were affordable. Both of the piercing artists (Mitch and Irais) are experienced, kind, super professional and their knowledge base is INCREDIBLE. I can't speak to Ghost Towns current ink slingers-- I've not gotten one here, in some time-- but one of my favorite pieces was done here. They make you feel so freaking comfortable-- EVEN when you're a pain in the ass like me lol. They're both SO patient and passionate about what they do! They're literally THE BEST. I have been getting body art done since I was 16 years old (SMDH--I'm almost 40 now). I have been to ink and piercing studios all over the world, but most of it done here in the Bay Area. ALOT of studios are way more interested in how many people go thru the turnstile versus ensuring a lasting and safe piercing for YOU. More importantly -- Ghost Town will not do something just for the money. If these people TELL YOU-- "No this isn't a good idea" OR "Just wait this amount of time for this or that." Or "do this instead of that." LISTEN TO THEM! They truly want to send you home with a clean, lasting piercing that you'll love. Plus if you get a piercing that requires anything past initial jewelry change, like stretching and etc they're great with follow up! If they advise you to not do something, don't walk out pissy and go it somewhere else that will do it where you'll likely get infected and know regret. Case in point; I had a friend who fell in love with my dimple piercings and wanted them for herself . I sent her down to see these guys. For whatever reason one of the artists informed her she needed to wait. She didn't. She got the piercings elsewhere. Shocker-- they got SUPER SUPER infected--BOTH SIDES. If she would have just listened she would've saved herself a shit ton of pain, scarring and overall, musty ass regret. He's very knowledgeable with what he's doing and really good at sharing some information regarding what earrings to pick , after care and some sorts to both my daughters.. Called today at 415pm and spoke with a gentleman asking if I can make an appointment at 615 to get my wife's nose pierced for her birthday. The gentleman said we do piercings from 2-6 but he can make an exception because 615 isn't too bad. Was told its 60$ for the piercing and to bring cash. I thanked the gentleman and asked if i needed to leave a name and number but he said no its fine we'll see you here. It's 605 and we come to a CLOSED shop. A gentleman opens the door and says we're closed and I tell him we made an appointment for 615 and he says "you must have heard wrong." Wooow blows my mind for someone to say that. I heard wrong? He was kind, considerate, clear, professional, and even philosophical reminding her that she earned these piercings through learning a language in a dual immersion program and to consider that when noticing or when cleaning them and to use the language in daily life. He also mentioned being grateful for times when we have what we want when she expressed so much excitement when they were complete and of course now wants more piercings. I loved the shop really standard and had the machine with the needles and jewelry going for a cycle while we filled out paper work after picking out jewelry. I've gotten a septum piercing from Irais and she was amazing! I know it's different for everyone but it didn't hurt at all, healed perfectly. She explained everything along the way and was really informative and nice. She's also done a nostril piercing for my mom and she was great then too. Recently my oldest wanted a septum and my youngest wanted an ear piercing so we went in and Mich did theirs. He was seriously wonderful with both of them. He was so helpful in explaining the process to them since they were nervous, he was very encouraging, patient, and also hilarious which helped put them at ease. Got my piercing appointment by irais today Friday the 13th came in did paperwork and went back. She was very nice and showed me where she thought my nose piercing would look best. I approved and she explained what was going to happen and to take deep breaths. It was fast and easy. I did get upgraded jewelry. She explained how to maintain it and will be returning to get resized in a couple weeks. Definitely recommend her she was fast, friendly and great work. AMAZING! I went to get my daughter's,10 years old, ears pierced. Mich, was so great talking to my daughter, explaining what was gonna happened. She was definitely nervous but he was so great. She picked her earrings and (I forgot the actual name) shock the metal to change it a certain color. It was so cool, she loves them. This was right after the shut down during COVID was lifted so the appointments we far and in between for safety but that's okay of course. Very clean, sanitized and SO professional! The staff is great, and I've had nothing but good things to say with the actual piercings. But the hours are never accurate and every time I try to come get pierced no one is in the shop, it's closed and no one will answer the phone. This is a long overdue review. Last year of May, I got my first tattoo done by Anizza. My then boyfriend, now husband also got his 5th tattoo done by her. We communicated through email about the tattoos that we both wanted and the day of our appointment, she showed us the sketches. I was so in love with the sketch and even more obsessed and in love after she finished tattooing on me. At the time she was still an apprentice but her work is amazing. Sadly, Anizza is no longer at Ghost Town. I've been waiting patiently for her to come back but it's sooo hard when you have tattoo fever. I recently went to their Friday the 13th promotion because my sister in law wanted her nipples pierced. Irais was so thorough and neat during the piercing process. Irais made me wish I could go back in time and get mine done there as well. I also got a rose tattoo done by Octavio on the day of their Friday the 13th promo. I couldn't decide between a broken mirror or a rose but eventually​ chose the rose because I had actually been wanted a rose. It turned out so well. I'm so in love. Very friendly atmosphere. My mom and I went in to get piercings by Irais. I got my nostril, and my mom got her daith. Irais is SO professional. She's extremely clean, friendly, patient and really knows what she is doing. It's been 2 weeks and both our piercings are healing extremely well! I had my nose pierced before by someone else, and I had to close it due to infections, and placement not being were I wanted. This time around with Irais I am so shocked at how well it is doing. I wrote a review for DV8 Tattoo that was meant for Ghost Town when I had my first piece done over summer. I came in on the 10th to get my 2nd piece done by the EVER-AMAZING, Chac! The vibe in this shop is amazing & Chac is a very talented artist. I gave him an idea I took from good 'ol Google for my leg piece & he made it my own & dare I say it, made it EVEN BETTER than the original picture. He made not only myself comfortable for the 5 hour session but my cousin who accompanied me. He put on Edge of Tomorrow & Guardians of the Galaxy on the TV in his station. He is an amazing artist & I cannot stress how talented he is. This place was so dope from start to finish. Came in about a month ago with my friend to get 3 upper ear piercings done and she got her nose pierced. We had called in and got an appointment for 2 hours later the same day. Already started on a high note. Immediately we got there and all sanitation and covid measures were in effect and followed. Not being nervous about the virus in the first place I didn't have any ridiculous high expectations for that to begin with, but it was definitely appreciated that Mich went the extra mile anyway to make sure his customers were at ease and the communication about it all was stellar. We were all wearing masks and he even had an extra face shield, of course gloves, and sanitized everything right in front of our eyes. It was all great. Then he did an excellent job of explaining pricing, jewelry, the procedure, the after care, cleaning, etc. He covered all the bases multiple times during everything too , which is great if you're like me and have selective hearing and are very forgetful. I was just so excited to get it done that I was ready to get to just dive in and blow all caution to the wind. Mich was very professional, knowledgeable, and in my opinion very skilled through and through. It also seemed like every artist and technician was considering how many awards were hanging in the wall. My ear is healing up great, I've had zero complications, and I get complimented all the time, so I know he did it right. The shop is also very clean with great atmosphere even being the only 3 people in there on that day.
