I stopped at the restaurant first, ordered lunch (they told me it would be ready in 15-20 minutes), and then walked around the store perusing the shelves. There is a little bit of everything in this store, including a very nice produce section, various groceries, toys, lottery, and even clothing. For my lunch, I had the Jhol Momo (Vegetarian), and it was served in a plastic microwave style bowl with a plastic lid. It was also served with plastic cutlery. The food was tasty (Momos are like little dumplings and this dish served them in a spicy sauce). I am not sure if it was made fresh, or if it was just microwaved from frozen, but I thought it had a good overall taste. I suppose I would come back again if I found myself in the area . . . Cheers!

It's not my preferred place to go, but when you need it, it's your savior. It's usually very clean and always dimly lit so make sure your phone has enough battery to keep the flashlight on throughout the duration of your visit. The smell changes frequently based upon the time of day and who was there before you. Upon entering, you might be treated with a nice scent of flowers but you could also get a pungent whiff of urine if the motorized carts haven't been hosed off recently. On rare occasions, it might smell like sewage although that issue has been recitified thankfully. Nevertheless, it's a great place and has everything you need. Staff is very friendly. Cat food is typically $1 less per can than Giant Eagle, so stock up when you can. Ultimately, I love this place. They don't make them like this anymore.

I loved walking through picturesque Dormont Park. Our mother used to live near the top of McFarland Rd. so I'd often walk to Kuhn's for her and then walk back. Kuhn's is much smaller than some of the gargantuan supermarkets like the Brentwood Giant Eagle (which is now our home store) or Costco, but they have just about everything you need. Their seafood is fresh. I love their homemade specialty hoagies, so fresh and delicious. Shop 'n Save used to carry similar hoagies but stopped making them. At least the Carrick one did. Kuhn's deli is excellent. They are one of the few stores to carry the delicious Boar's Head brand deli meats. I like Giant Eagle's brand Dietz & Watson, but I prefer Boar's Head. Their aged provolone (picante - slightly sharp flavor) is wonderful. I must also mention Kuhn's ready-made fried chicken. It is my favorite out of all the various stores chicken. I have fond memories of shopping at Kuhn's. We still go there once or twice a month. Give them a try!

I needed just a few items, and didn't want to drive across town to where I normally shop, so decided to stop here since it was so close to where I was already. I was able to park so close to the front door, which was nice. Inside, there is no doubt the store is small and one part nearest Baptist road is actually a foot or so lower than the rest of the store. You kind of go down hill to enter that part (which is where the hotdogs are.) The ceiling is also lower in that part of the store so its a bit of a throw back to the 1990's and earlier. But inside they've got everything you need just like other Giant Eagles. The deli counter ladies were also nice. Another throwback, they didn't act like people with a job but instead acted like neighbors who wanted to help you out. No self check-out here, but no complaints from me about that. The checker actually talked to me rather than ignoring my presence while continuing a conversation with other employees. Nice!
