Flight wine Saddlerock: Syrah, Cab, KOM, and Res Cab. Syrah was the on the dry side (as it is known to be) and not as sweet. Still really good. The KOB was a combination and it was delicious. That was my fav out of the batch. I also bought water for $5 but it's a big bottle of sparkling water; Not tap. My total here was $64 paid with my card and closed my tab. For the following rounds, I paid cash: I had two rounds of IPA beer: both were really good in my opinion. "Pliny the elder" by Russian river IPA and "food fight" by common space. As I always say, wine tasting is very subjective to an individual's palate, so you should give them a try for yourselves. We ordered glasses of their NV Surfrider Sparkling Moscato ($18), a 2020 RME Chardonnay ($18), a 2020 Petite Verdot ($20), and a 2018 Block M Cabernet Sauvignon ($25). I felt that the prices for the glasses were a little on the high side, but the pours were generous. We ended up purchasing a bottle of their 2020 G Petit Verdot ($53) to take home. I didn't want all of my friends to have to drive such a long way AND pay for parking! The space is different than what the old Rosenthal winery used to be, but it's actually more intimate and nicer! Apparently this is where they used to host VIPs before the fire, so it feels like a more exclusive space. The entrance feels quite sudden and easy to miss while driving, but you enter a small driveway after confirming the reservation name with the guard, and then drive along a beautiful road until you hit the entrance. Such a beautiful drive in! There were tables set up for everyone and it's not overly crowded which is nice. They even had live music (they were great!). They had a pretty decent wine list, whites, reds, roses, sweet, bubbly, but no non-alcoholic wines for those curious. They don't serve any food which feels like a bummer at first, but they do allow you to bring any and all food and non-alcoholic beverages you want. So it's essentially like a picnic but at a nice winery. We had plenty of snacks and bites so we were just fine, and they were ok with my bottle of non-alcoholic bubbly wine. We had a great time here! Perfect for celebrations! They still have their fun big blue wooden chair too which is perfect for pics.

This ended up being a stop for him! I'm guessing they're still in the process of transitioning from Fred Segal to the now Summer Somewhere Wines stop. So.... Im not a wine fiend, but Hubbers is. He asked if we could just hangout here for a bit to try a white. "Of course!" I tell him. Marquis was our server and I gotta say, off the bat he was sooooooo friendly and welcoming. He answered all of Hubbers' questions regarding their products until he finally decided on one. I asked for water as I got parched from all the walking we did prior to coming through. Marquis checked on us after awhile, and he dreaded the fact he forgot to bring me my water. He felt really bad, I told him it wasn't a big deal and to bring me one when he got the chance. He did me one better and comp'd it for me. Sweet! It really was a good 20-minute chill. Cornell offers many wines from various wineries throughout the world and allows you to create your own tasting flight from their menu or purchase a glass or bottle. My wife and I enjoyed sharing two flights, and we even tried a bottle of red Moscato, which my mother-in-law loves. A friend joined us as well and the four of us shared a small Hollywood Nosh Box ($25) and a jar of Taggiasche Olices ($11) which was more than enough. Mr. Semler, also alum, treated us to safari ride, delicious wines ('11 cabernet sauvignon my favorite), food from The Habit, live music, and interaction with the animals. Here also resides a celebrity known as Stanley, the giraffe on Hangover 3. I was able to take a selfie with him! Sweet big guy. The scenery is breathtaking! The estate is gorgeous, clean, and very well maintained. All of the wine was superb and I mentioned my favorite already. I highly recommend coming here for the safari exploration and wine tasting. The biggest reason our experience was so wonderful was Mariya, the coordinator provided by the venue. She went so far beyond what I expected from a venue coordinator. She had several planning calls with me, was always available by text, helped me work through every detail and the timeline, and coordinated with all of our vendors. I honestly couldn't have done it without her. From the initial tour through the wedding day, she made the whole process feel so easy. On the day itself, everything ran on time and every detail came together exactly how we'd hoped. We were able to just enjoy our wedding because Mariya had everything handled. All of the staff working the event were wonderful, too--so kind, attentive, and helpful to both us and our guests. We felt really taken care of. And the food! It was easily the best wedding food I've ever had. You get the same quality you'd expect from dinner at the restaurant, which was a huge reason we chose this venue. Our guests were still talking about the food days later. We're so happy we got married here. It was such a beautiful day, and we're especially grateful to Mariya for all the time and care she put into making it happen.

Sadly the sea bass was a disappointment. I immediately tasted "fish" and it wasn't good. I tried to push through with a couple more bites but the fishy taste was too strong. My companion, however, didn't seem to mind. You'll have to be the judge. Valet parking was only $9 (don't forget to tip). The table service was impeccable. They came at the right times to see what else was needed, refills were topped off, and they never interrupted the conversation or the meal--their timing was perfect.
