When I moved last fall it turned out to be the right movers option for me. I personally milked local movers vs National corporate ones .

Having managed several successful small businesses myself, never before have I experience more…read moreunprofessionalism in my 20+ years of experience. First, their response time for getting back to you with a quote is horrible. And when I finally received a quote, it was not in writing. Second, when the day came for them to move me, they showed up late with a truck that was falling apart. Parts of it were rusting, one of the rear tires on the double axle was flat and hanging on the rim, the gas tank had a piece of plastic stuffed in it to function as a gas cap, and the truck failed to start when they tried to back it up to the storage unit. When the employees called the owner, he cussed a blue streak on the phone and hung up angrily. When he called his employees back again, his attitude was less than professional. The movers themselves were talking about how the truck was unreliable as well. They informed me that the owner would be there in 20 min and I told them to call me when he got there. The next call I received was not from the owner but from the moving crew that had been talking about how unreliable the truck was. I asked them if the owner brought another moving truck or trailer, and they informed me that they had managed to start the truck and were ready to move me. I told them I wasn't comfortable with them using that truck, to which they replied, "F^&K you then." The owner failed to call me at any time to inform me of what was going on or how he planned to complete the move. As a result of their poor customer service, I have now incurred additional storage fees. As a result, I cannot in good conscience recommend this business.

First let me say BUYER BEWARE! As I searched for movers I found the cost to be nearly $2500. Until…read moreI came across Rockford Family Movers. They were nearly half the other quotes. I asked why and Steven said that they had little overhead and were a local family company. I did some research on yelp and google and found every review at 5 STARS!! They are definitely NOT 5 STARS! We tried to support local while saving a few bucks. Don't do it. The movers showed up in a U-Haul, not professional looking at all, just 4 guys one of whom was the owner Steven Eisenach. They took a crazy amount of breaks. Every few minutes was a smoke break. I had to ask them not to smoke in the truck while loading our furniture. Plus they threw their cigarette butts all over the yards and drive ways. In all it took over 10 hours for a 3 bedroom home to go 10 minutes away. After the move we noticed many dings and gouges in the furniture and other items. During the move I noticed a gouge in our downstairs oak door and pointed it out to a mover. I got a shoulder shrug and a "wow! thats bad." After the move we had to repair and paint many scratches in the walls at the old and new home. The worst came as we unpacked. I left my garage tools to unpack last in order to get the house up and running. When I finally got a chance to unpack the garage I noticed many tools missing. I ended up losing many hand tools and some power tools. I have a 4'x8' peg board normally loaded with tools. Now it barely has anything at all. I am finding more tools missing every day. I did reach out to the movers via email and voicemail and have had no response. My wife did some more digging on the company and found a few things. She found that Steven reviewed his own company. And with as many 5 star reviews we believe that most are friends or family. She also found 1 Google review saying pretty much what we say above. They had a couple of tv's go missing. Makes for an interesting read. https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/112013538562282514718/reviews/@42.329958,-89.0485609,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m3!8m2!3m1!1e1?hl=en-US And finally, my wife found a news article on Steven Eisenach. It claims that he was arrested for stealing over $17K in jewelry while working for another moving company. I do not write reviews lightly, in fact, this is only the second review I have written and my first…read morewas extremely positive. Unfortunately, my experience with this company requires a cautionary account. My move took place on Nov. 25, 2025. I expected two movers who would conduct themselves in a professional manner, demonstrate knowledge of the task at hand and treat the client with basic respect. The two movers that arrived were young men in their early 20s. Prior to hiring this company, I specifically asked the Manager whether her movers wrapped the furniture and I was assured by her that they did. However, on the day of the move, it became clear that the crew did not understand or follow standard professional moving practices. My furniture was not wrapped or protected; instead, I was told that blankets would be placed on items only after items were already on truck. They were not. The movers were very dismissive and rude. As a woman alone, I felt very uncomfortable speaking up further. This experience reflected a lack of professionalism, preparation, and respect for the customer. Their conduct made an already stressful day more difficult than it needed to be. During the move, furniture damage did occur. After weeks and repeated calls on my part, I was eventually offered monetary compensation. While the amount was nominal, I am grateful that some recompense was finally made. My purpose in writing this is not to be punitive, it is to warn potential customers and to encourage this company to improve. Particularly, in how their movers interact with clients. Skill alone is not enough; of which they had little, but that professional demeanor and respect matter. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously, as it would go along way toward improving the overall customer experience.

We had everything taken apart and they came in and wrapped everything in plastic and loaded it onto their truck. At the new location they had to go up quite a few steps and too tight turns for the bedrooms and they made it look easy. They were absolutely a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone and if I ever needed to move again would definitely call them. We called a few other movers and they quoted well over what Patriot charged us.

I reached out to several other companies back in February when I purchased a very heavy, vintage stove that needed to be picked up and delivered. I received a wide range of quotes, Maciej fell in the middle of the range. What won me over and has given a customer forever was his empathy and respect. I got sick immediately after getting the quotes. After 4 days of being in a delirious Covid brain fog, I sent emails to every company letting them know I wouldn't be able to get back to them immediately and the move wouldn't happen until around the end of March. The other companies sent me back messages like "Book with me!" "Are you ready?" "Did you see my quote?" One called me every day, sometimes twice a day. I had a 103 fever, I didn't even know the day of the week. Maciej immediately replied with wishes to get better soon and that whenever I was feeling better, he would be available to help. He followed up after a week with just a simple message, "I hope you are feeling better." His compassion, his patience, and his kindness told me all I needed to know about how he would treat my belongings. I finally had a pick up date, quickly communicated with Patriot Moving and set up the pick up time. It was all so easily done by email and text. They moved a vintage 1951 Chambers Model C stove for me. The stove is solid, as in over 450lbs solid! It is made of cast iron, enamel, and insulation all tightly packed within a 38" wide stove. It's a big, heavy beast which needed to be moved from an old 1880's apartment high-rise in the city. This meant narrow doorways and narrow spaces, smaller elevators, and lots of lifting. Patriot Moving showed up a little early and prepared for the move! We communicated mostly by email and text, never having a chance to speak by phone. He provided a COI right away as requested for by the owner. The team showed up prepared with everything for the move including tools to remove a door. They treated my stove and the residence with white glove service care. My stove was carefully wrapped tightly with stretch film to present anything from falling out or shifting. I removed most parts, but there were some that couldn't be removed. The moving team asked for permission when they needed to remove something, completely explaining their process and what to anticipate. They used plenty of moving blankets and covers to keep the home protected as well as the stove. They delivered right away and moved it in carefully, positioning it exactly where we needed it. Ensured that everything was just right, made sure we had all the parts removed and was ready to put everything back on for us. From the moment I reached out for a quote to the minute they finished the move and left, I received nothing short of excellent service! The stellar response and care for my stove was incredible! I won't ever hesitate to recommend them to everyone! Maciej and his team are truly exceptional people. Thank you!
