Steve at Shock Therapy has been helping me with my suspension and general maintenance and motor work for over five years now. Currently, I have two suspension set-ups: a WP Cone Valve/Trax shock on my 350 4-stroke and a KYB SSS conversion on my 150 2-stroke. Not only did he do a phenomenal job at the valving, he helped me dial them in numerous times at a variety of tracks. The confidence I have in my suspension allows me to push hard, thus enabling me over the last 3 years to take 2nd at the King of the West series, snag a bear at Mammoth, get a 9th at Anaheim Supercross Futures and take the National Title in the 45 intermediate class with OTHG. I truly believe that without his expertise and overall guidance those results wouldn't have been possible. To those complaining about time issues, understand that basic items are hard to come by, as is good help. Covid has caused most products to be back ordered, which affects timelines. Also, Steve will not just hire any old grease monkey and let them work on your bike like other shops do to turn a profit. As a racer himself, he understands the necessity of the bike being mechanically sound when it leaves his shop. Again, this allows me to push myself hard without worrying about a mechanical failure causing an injury in an already dangerous sport. At the end of the day, quality work takes time, so either plan ahead or be patient. So, to anyone who wants a true rider/racer to set up and maintain their off road or street bike, you can pick no better place to go! I just wanted to take a second to let any and all who are considering having any repair or tuning work done to their Offroad racing motorcycle to give Steve a shot. Steve's knowledge and attention to detail is second to none. As illustration to this point, Steve was asked to re-valve a friends suspension. As is Steve's habit, he asked the rider what type of riding or racing as was the case, and what the rider hoped to achieve. Steve set to work on the suspension and had it buttoned up. He went home and began to think about how he could make the setup even better for the racer. When he came back to the shop the next day, he completely took the suspension apart, made the changes he thought might even make the customer happier, called him up to tell him his suspension was ready for pick up. BTW, my friend loves his suspension. If thats not the best indication that Steve cares about his customers and in the long run his reputation as on of the premier suspension men in the business, I dont know what is. BTW, Steve does my suspension for me and I was floored at how much better my 2020 KX 450 felt. The suspension was right on the money for my age and skill level. I actually won my class championship this year with the SRA GP racing organization. Lastly but of great importance is Steve races himself. He frequents many of the local races and is always ready to lend a hand with tips and suggestions, be they for his present customers, or just racers in need of a little help. Steve at STR motorsports dialed in my suspension perfectly. He set my sag and set my compression and rebound so that it works great on most tracks in CA. His prices are as good as you can get, very good for the high quality of that is done. I read a 1 Star review from a person who said that Steve had his motorcycle for almost year.... Really? Come on, take some responsibility yourself. Why didn't you go get the bike after a month or two? Instead he writes a bogus review, whining and crying that he has waited 11 months for his bike. Also he should have been given preferential treatment because he is living with an HRC rider. This is not the STR way that Steve does business. Just like everyone, Steve is not perfect, but I've never heard of such fallacy. Be the judge yourself, have Steve work on your bike, you won't be disappointed. read more

I can not say enough good things about this company and everyone from their staff that assisted me. I originally sent my shocks out from UPS in Ontario, CA to Phoenix, AZ and only 1 of the 2 boxes arrived at Shock Therapy (stolen from UPS employee). I worked with James at Shock Therapy due to a delayed appointment for the shock upgrades. He was very helpful. They were even willing to order me the 2 front shocks I needed from a local Can Am dealer and have them direct shipped to them for upgrades. I was obviously charged for the replacements since it was a UPS issue and not a Shock Therapy issue. Every step along the way I was updated and made the process much easier. Found Shock Shock Therapy thru a recommendation. Re-did suspension on KTM which had been worn out from so many revalues trying to get it useable. Steves settings solved the Issues. Very happy with results. Later Steve repaired the damage from a broken gear and big time engine damage. Major work but super reasonable final price. Steve has also done magic with my Suzuki 450. Steve worked with me to fine tune suspension to my perfection . I just do a service once a year and I am good. Whatever it is, he fixes it. Just had my suspension done by Steve at Shock Therapy Motorsports...Absolutely excellent from the setup that I had and raced on all season of 2017. I really understand why I was beat up so badly and could not push like I thought I could. Just absolutely plush in the acceleration bumps, braking bumps, rollers. Noticed an increased ability to keep the bike in ruts and tracked perfectly in sweepers. STR takes great care of me. I can count on Steve to to do the job right. I have had motor work done and only have positive things to say. He recently converted my kx450f air forks to spring fork at a fair price. Unlike other shops STR cares to do the job right and treats you like family.
