Had a weird experience there some time ago. Don't shoot the messenger, just being honest! I know SN is one of the big sacred cows in Stow so go easy on me. Popped in one Sunday afternoon while my wife was at another place in the plaza. Wasn't aware they were closing and walked in for a quick cup of coffee to pass the time. Inside was a circle jerk of about 5 employees standing there jaw jacking with each other. The oldest guy said "we're closed" in a real rude way. OK dude, fine with me! I turned around on my heel and walked out. No big deal, but it was just a weird vibe. I felt like I walked in on an employee meeting or something but the door was open and light were on, he** how was I to know they were closed! Haven't been in since. Prob won't go back. read more

Love the food and staff. Not a fan of the regular customer who is always flying a confederate flag. I'm going to stop eating at the Stownut because of him. I got up and moved when this racist sat next to me today but I'd rather just not patronize the Stownut and have to share the same space with him. We stopped in today on a Saturday morning after having to do blood work nearby. It was a quick yelp search with amazing reviews. When we got there, there's were only 2 other groups and is. Super friendly staff, very small diner. They did not have any donuts at all which was disappointing but that's alright. It took us about 20 minutes & 2 cups of coffee for someone to finally get out order. Another 10 minutes after that. But it's quiet alright since it's so cute in there and the music selection was on point! It seems that some of the ladies that work there are a tad clumsy. One dropped a bunch of food into the garbage on accident. And she one when dry mopping the floor had the owner slip without letting anyone know that the floor was wet. The breakfast was good. Well made omelet. Crispy bacon. Hash browns well cooked. The only thing lacking was their namesake donuts. Not impressed. The Danish was tough. The donut tasted day old even though It probably wasn't. The service was great. the atmosphere is cozy. We will be back but I'll pass on the donuts. read more

I want to say first and foremost our service was great and everyone working there was wonderful. The food however? Bottom bottom and diner food. I ordered 2 eggs , 2 meat & bread, plus one pancake. The sausage was cold and the pancake was one of the worst I've ever had, it was dense and chewy. The price was also above what I would ever pay again, even for okay food. Didn't get to try the donuts as they were all gone when we arrived at 9:45, but that's fine, after the food. read more

I get you had a fire, but your prices are just too much now. Besides for the recent egg shortage, which you are charging extra per egg, breakfast is cheap. Carbs are cheap. This location is back open after the fire! I have a dairy allergy and they did a fantastic job to check if the bread they source locally had dairy or not. I had the avocado toast with eggs on top and I also added sriracha that they had on the table on top as well. Tasted great and I had no reaction. It has very classic diner decor (red and white) and some cute fire-fighter related elements (as well as a little horn to honk by the door when you leave) extremely family friendly, and the staff were VERY kind! Great little breakfast place in Stow. Not to many non chain restaurants in Stow, this is a great mom and pop type restaurant. Jamb packed with a 50's feel diner, I guess. I am not that old, but it's fun. The food is really good and the coffee is outstanding. Very important for a breakfast review. I only gave 4 stars due to the fact that they have doughnuts available and I did not try one. They were being sold though, they place was packed on Sunday morning. Everyone is a little tired of Covid, myself included. They have nice partitions, but masks in a small-place like that is just unrealistic. read more

I normally don't like breakfast pizza but my boyfriend had me try a slice and I never looked back! After passing Stownut diner for a couple of years of living in the area, we finally made our way in this past Sunday. While it was definitely short on space, it was definitely not short on energy. It had that small town diner vibe with hustling waitresses pumping out the food. I wish our waitress (a young woman) would have given her name, because she was very kind and hustled to provide great service. My husband and I both had the #8 breakfast combo allowing us to try a little bit of everything: two eggs, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. We've gone to Stownut a few times and it has always been delicious with a happy atmosphere. We hadn't been for a while, but I happened to notice they had breakfast pizza. The last time I had a good breakfast pizza was before I moved to Ohio. One other place here in Akron had it but it wasn't at all good. I ordered the meat breakfast pizza and could barely wait to get it home. My husband has never heard of or had a breakfast pizza so he wasn't sure what to think, especially since he refuses to eat leftover pizza for breakfast. Anyway, we got it gone & he was in heaven after the first bite. It was a really good pizza and we demolished the whole thing. Our teenage son slept late so he never even realized it was in the house. I highly recommend the breakfast pizza here. I really want to get another soon! read more

It's small and the staff is a bit standoffish BUT the food is good. The country fried steak is to-die-for. The corned beef hash is above par. The hashbrowns and cubed potatoes are always hit or miss. The fried eggs are good but the scrambled eggs are far from it. Expect to be crammed into this tiny diner with some rowdy teens--it's a short walk from the high school. It's a trade-off between atmosphere and quality. I like this as a cute little weekend breakfast place but the food overall is good. Their donuts are the best around and so is their breakfast menu! Great country fried steak, corned beef hash, French toast and bennies. I love the atmosphere, very cute 50s diner vibes. Top notch service as well! They do a good job turning tables over quickly in a small space without rushing you. Dones and seats are a hot commodity, esp on weekends so go early if you want the best selection and don't want to wait for a table if dining in. We came across this location while researching breakfast spots and planned to stop for breakfast before hitting the road. Our waitress was sweet but busy- waiting on each of the tables (both inside and out) herself. We ordered pancakes, sausage and coffee. The pancakes were pretty tasty, and kids gobbled them right up. The coffee was not great (sadly I ended up grabbing a cup from Dunkin in the same shopping center on our way out) and tasted like it had been sitting for awhile. Not the cleanest or most updated spot but I'm sure that adds to the charm for some diners. My family and I went for breakfast and it was delicious! Our server was very friendly and attentive. She came right away with water and took our order. I ordered the eggs Benedict with hash browns , my husband ordered the breakfast sandwich with hash browns, my daughter ordered the pancakes with bacon and home fries and my son ordered the the cinnamon roll pancakes with hash browns. Just tried Stownut for the first time and was BLOWN AWAY! This may be my new go to for breakfast food and sweets! The breakfast pizza is amazing! I'm not sure what the sauce is, but it compliments the eggs and meat perfectly! It is very filling though! One pizza is plenty for 2-3 people! The bear claw was very decadent and was a great ending to a meal. And HOLY CANNOLI (yes I have been waiting to use that line a while)! Their cannoli is outstanding! I love Italian pastries and have had cannoli all over ohio. This cannoli is in my top three!! They fill the shells as ordered, so the shell stays crispy. The filling is that perfect ricotta blend that just screams authenticity. I wish I would have got a picture of the cannoli as well, however I ate it so fast, and so impulsively, there was no time! To start, the good: our server was the most precious girl ever. The donut I tried was tasty (lemon something). That's about it! A lot of the dishes were so close but so far. Things like skimping was a very prominent issue. For example, my sister ordered corned beef hash on the side It was very heavy on the hash, low on the corned beef. And I opted for whatever the upcharge was on my dish to include bacon and cheese, but there was like none of that included anyways?? So, I would not be back because what's the point! There donuts are quite fine and if you get a slip of paper from the gumball machine, you get a free donut. Ill say that this place is like a plate of cheese. Been meaning to stop by this Diner since moving back from SOCAL. Finally was able to grab a quick breakfast and was I glad I did. First off I am a fan off Eggs Benedict and anytime I see it on a breakfast menu I will order it every time. I absolutely enjoyed the Eggs Benedict from this Diner it was darn near perfect. The eggs were poached perfectly. The ham and English Muffin were on point and most importantly the Hollandaise sauce was the perfect consistency.
