(I explicitly asked if there would be a discount if I shared with another person as I was riding solo.) Joy quoted me $110 for a 1 person ride. A few minutes before picking me up, she told me the ride would be shared. I asked if there would be a discount given that I was told by Neil who connected us that my ride would be private. Joy then attempted to gaslight me into saying she gave me a below market price by charging me $110 for one seat in a shared ride. That made zero sense bc my ride to Stowe was $120 for a private ride and other companies had quoted me $110 for a private ride. I then had to spend my remaining vacation time picking up other people and listening to Joy chitchat with the other riders for the entirety of what I thought would be a quiet private ride. The ethical price per person for a shared ride would be $60-70 as is done in cabs to EWR in NYC that are $125 for a private ride. Really disappointed that Stowe businesses would try to scam tourists like this. Furthermore, during the ride, a woman called asking if Joy had a car for her mom as the woman had confirmed via text. I saw on the screen that the woman actually had texted Joy back and Joy failed to follow up. Joy hung up on the woman.

At each stop, the guides had to go in and order everything when we arrived, so we waited around, and by the time we finally got our cider, wine, or liquor, it was already time to leave. We were told there would be cheese boards, but our group of ten got a single small charcuterie plate to share and nothing else. At each stop we also heard the actual tasting prices -- $6 at the distillery and $10 at the cider place -- which made us question what we were really paying for. We could have done the same tour ourselves for about $30 per person. The guides were very friendly, but overall the experience didn't match the cost or expectations.

We took the brew tour in Burlington last Sunday and we had a great time! Ours was a bit of an…read moreunorthodox tour, as the tour bus had some issues that day (happens). City tours called us and warned us of the problem and delay which was fine, as we were being picked up at our hotel. They resolved the problem quickly and our guide was there and ready to go within 15 minutes of the originally scheduled time. Our guide Lauren was fantastic! She handled the mishap with grace and without skipping a beat. City tours had to have Ubers take us from brewery to brewery which worked out perfectly fine in the end. On to the tour itself, we were a smaller group, which I loved! We stopped at 4 locations and we sampled A LOT of beer. (I don't understand the reviews saying you barely get 3 drinks because by the end of it my husband and I could barely drink the last beers) We got behind the scenes tours at 2 of the breweries. Goodwater was my personal favorite. Lauren gave us a phenomenal history lesson along the way, which I fully nerded out to. All in all, it was a really fun experience that both, my husband and I, would recommend trying!

It was only a 3 mile trip yet two other companies quoted me over $350 because they have a 2 hour minimum. Ted offered his services at a fraction of that amount and the experience could not have been better. He communicated with me the morning of to let us know he was on the way, he arrived on time and was very helpful getting three senior citizens and tons of bags into his van. Very personable, the van was immaculate and the entire experience was 5 star. Highly recommend this company if you are ever in need of shuttle service in the BTV area.
