Sent in photo as directed. Have now called twice and told they would get back to me but nothing. Not horrible but not a stellar experience either.

Sharon (Manager) SAID NO ONE TAKES BEDS AND THERE IS A 350.00 DUMPING FEE. She wanted me to sign abandoned paperwork on the unit. Guess what I found a Charity and they came and took everything on 5/19. My billing went from 5/15-6/14, and they charged me my monthly rate of 158.00.(3 days) Over 3 years Big Jims has made a small fortune off of us $5688.00. but still took their 158.00. Joe's family has owned this property for 22 years. Family owned storage facilities are the VERY best especially if professionally impeccably run like Sawyer. I rented from Public storage until this year in Minnesota - - they raised my rent 50 % in May to $1500 a month for 2 thirty foot deep temp controlled units after being a loyal customer for 18 years!!! 4 years ago the top middle and local management throughout Public Storage that had worked for years, suddenly ALL quit in 2-3 months, and then rental rates sky rocketed each year. This is happening nationally with all giant corporate storage companies! I now will ONLY use top quality local regional family owned storage companies. This facility originally was an ice skating rink then a post office. They retrofitted it into a spotless, perfectly lit, very very well air conditioned/ fully temperature controlled medium sized facility. The front door slim door mounted security key pad is very easy to use. We have been coming to Sarasota visiting in-laws for 35 years and never knew this building and street existed. It is very nicely tucked away hidden off two quiet small roads. Security outside and inside are excellent and someone is in the office/ facility daily 9-5, saturdays 9-12. I feel 100 % secure here coming solo ( over age 70). Location is excellent if you live in Osprey, Sarasota, Siesta Key, Downtown Sarasota and worth the drive if you live in Longboat Key. Enjoy!

I had a problem with my door code and he fixed it quickly. He is a phone call away! Never had any issues there in the 2 years I used them! I would refer anyone to them. Been a few weeks and so far our access to our unit has been smooth. The gate opens easily the area is well lit and the doors work fine. No contracts pretty easy going. Sometimes when looking for a dolly or such they can never be found so bring your own if you'll be needing one and don't have time to wait or look for one here. Rent is paid monthly and can be done in person during regular hours if you want to pay by check or cash.
