He asks what I want, I say picture windows. He sends me a picture of double hang and says he recommends them. Don't need them. Then he just TEXTS me a price range. Red flag. Where's your quote with the type of door being used? Also, the number is high. I ask for the SKU to look it up on my own. He sends me a generic link to an affiliate landing page for DOUBLE HUNG DOORS. Ok, so here's where you have to use your best judgement. These guys have great ratings on multiple pages, so they obviously do excellent installs. But that doesn't mean they aren't ripping people off, because you can get similar work done for MUCH cheaper. That's where I got him, bc he wasn't willing to disclose where his range was coming from and then immediately tried to pass me off to Renweal by Anderson, which is widely known as THE biggest price-hike in the game. The safe bet with them is whatever they quote you initially is about double what it should actually cost. So it makes sense the owner thought it's a reasonable peer in the industry. Sprague did some of outside of the house that was large - it's a 3300sqft house, they fixed many parts including the south side of the house (sun facing) In multiple places on the south side, there were multiple bowing wood and 50+ loose screws, it looked like a tornado hit it. They took apart the entire wall within ONE day and had it built back up the next day, WOW!!! I rent, so I know my slumlord didn't ask for "better"- The South side of the house they just finished, looks so beautiful and it looks better than the rest of the of the house and I cannot even pinpoint WHY (besides it being new) but that's besides the facts - It's that good! Paul Nutile, the owner of the company, was very unprofessional in all of his communication and refused to fix the poor install. When I took him to small claims court, he cursed at me in the courtroom like a child.

I called and Berge picked up, he explained that they don't do window repairs but if I were in front of the windows he could walk me through how to identify the problem, possibly fix it myself or find a handyman to fix it. When I got in front of the windows he talked me through how to take the windows out of the track, identified that the "shoe" wasn't attached and that's why they won't stay open. After I got off the phone with him, I followed his instructions to get the shoe unstuck from the bottom of the track and managed to get them reattached to the windows, and now they both stay open! So incredibly helpful! If we needed to replace those windows we would definitely have gone back to Berge for it.
