So worth the drive. I had 3 large bins to shred. They met you with a hand cart and weighed the containers and then subtracted the empty weight. It took longer driving here then the whole process. What a wonderful service. I accumulated paperwork from a friend & my mother who passed along with about 10 years of my own stuff. I decided to move out of state & scale down because my new place has no storage or garage. Plus you pay by the pound when using a moving company. I had 17 boxes that were not going with me & as a senior with disabilities, I couldn't lift these boxes & didn't have the finances to pay some one to do it. Storedok came to my house & picked up the boxes to shred @ their facility. The price was very reasonable for the services they performed. Saved me time, money while giving me pease of mind. Had an overwhelming amount of boxes that needed to be cleared out and shredded, called Stordok and from the first interaction, Jessica and Paul were very helpful and responsive to my emails and text messages. Reasonable price for fast great service. The driver, I believe his name was Geovanni but I could be wrong, arrived early and ready to take on the job! They are so busy that walk-ins are fridays only. They fail to inform this on their phone message. They were nice enough to take my documents and said they would be shredded the next day. I was a little concerned they would be sitting there but I trust they kept them secure and shredded the next day as they said. read more

Having completed my tax preparation, I needed a place to dispose of a few years worth of sensitive documents. I found Stordok and made an appointment to visit their location. I received quick and professional service from the 1st phone call/e-mail and was extremely pleased with the level of customer service when I arrived with my stuff. I was greeted by David and he came out to the car, unloaded the boxes and weighed them then moved them into the shred room. I was given ear protection and was able to actually watch him load the docs into the massive shredder. This was comforting in light of a recent news story of another shredding place having two employees arrested for not shredding docs and using the info to compromise accounts. I called Stordok last month to use their shedding service at my house. I was given a window on Friday morning. About 20 minutes before the end of the time I got a call saying that they were behind, had over scheduled and would be late. I contacted Stordok and was told that/they had over booked and were indeed late. In fact the shredder truck was in Carmel Valley, had another job in Pacific Grove- while Hiway 68 had tree work being performed. I explained that I couldn't wait as I had to go to work, was not pleased that they did business this way. I was offering a $10 discount. The truck did finally show up. I never received the receipt statement that my papers had been shredded, as was promised. I would not recommend this business. read more

Paul and the helpful staff at Stordok were amazing! They helped us unload the docs from our car, and shredded them right there while we watched. Paul even gave us ear and breathing mask protection in case the machinery was too loud or the paper dust got thick. It didn't take long at all and was VERY inexpensive. I don't know why a person would ever buy a home shredder! Not only that, but Stordok has a huge on-site shredder so they can come to you and do the shredding on YOUR property! Loved the convenience of having my old documents shredded.

We were cleaning out our shed and had some confidential office files we needed to get rid of securely. We found this place on yelp and figured we'd give it a try. We went there on a Tuesday (9/22/14) to drop off 7 office file boxes for shredding. The owner (Paul) was driving up and walked in right behind us. He was very nice and did everything he could to help. He even unloaded our boxes and gave us a good deal. More than anything, he had excellent customer service and made us feel at ease with the confidential documents we went in to shred. We still have about another 15 boxes we have to shred and will definitely be back. read more

So, I checked Stordok's web site and you can bring your shredding in on ANY Friday between 7:30am - 4pm. So I loaded up my truck with shredding material to drop off on my way to work. I get there and the girl in the office said I would have to call back after 1pm because the truck wasn't there to shred documents. This is the only day to bring documents to shred and they can't even be open on the one day to do shredding. read more

What a great company! I have a small professional practice and have used various shredding services over the past 20 years, but was always disappointed with the service that I received. I chalked it up to the fact that I have a small business that was unimportant to the larger shredding companies. The bigger companies would skip scheduled pickups (and charge me anyway) or never show up, while big black garbage bags of papers piled up in my office. Then I found Stordok! From the first phone call that I made, the service has been GREAT. The entire staff is service oriented and very friendly. They ALWAYS arrive for scheduled pickups and even stop by again when the office has been closed. The three drivers are courteous young men who always arrive with a smile; no strangers arriving at your door. I was pleased with the service I got during the free shred day in May. Not so happy about the promotional e-mails I have been receiving with this business' name on them. I can see everyone else they are going to, so that means they are getting my e-mail address too. At first I thought it was a phishing e-mail, but no one would know I was there except that I gave the business my e-mail address; it must be bad marketing practices. read more

I am a Certified Public Accountant ; clients entrust me with highly sensitive confidential information. Should this information ever fall into the wrong hands, I would lose my license to practice. I personally deliver my paperwork to Stordok where I am always taken care of by friendly employees who take the time to make me feel like I am important, rather than being just one of many!
