We had already reviewed the information online, which was very helpful--it clearly outlined the different unit sizes, pricing, and even estimated how many items could fit in each unit. This made it easier for us to choose the right size without overpaying for space we didn't need. The representative we spoke with was very kind, friendly, and patient. He thoroughly went over all the details and made sure we understood everything. There is a $22 administrative fee for the first month in addition to the monthly rental fee. They also offer a lock for a one-time fee of $22, but you can bring your own to avoid that charge. Since we were on a time crunch, we opted to purchase their lock. He also explained that the first 30 days of insurance coverage are included. After that, you can either provide proof of your own insurance or purchase theirs through the app, which is around $16-$20 per month and covers up to $5,000 in damages. Additional details and paperwork are provided in the unit for review. The only slight challenge we had was locating our unit at first. The layout was a bit confusing, and our unit ended up being a few rows over from where we initially expected, so it took some time to find. Overall, we were very pleased with the facility. The unit is indoors and climate-controlled, which we really appreciated. The property is secure, requiring keypad access to enter both the building and interior areas, and you're assigned a unique PIN and unit number prior to arrival. The property is secure and the facility is clean. Now the office is run with virtual computers set up by Reliant Mangement and customer service no longer exists. They are absolutely horrible. I would be extremely cautious in giving them any credit card or debit card information for auto payment as they are now streamlining cash from their customers by issuing you an invoice for one amount and charging your credit card a higher amount. Of course you cannot speak to any management because they are busy hiding behind their cameras and email system. I would also be aware when renting any unit as they will give you one price and then two months later substantially increase your monthly amount.

They advised the key had a lanyard/string around it. I was very perplexed by this because we have all keys that were issued to us and never have we had any keys with strings/lanyards around them. I went to the facility and thankfully nothing appeared missing. I called management and advised that my lock they issued must have been recycled because someone must have had a key and unlocked it. I asked if they would replace my lock with a new one. I also asked perhaps they were mistaken and it was a different storage room than mine that they found unlocked. The manager became defensive and said I was accusing her of being dishonest and that it is against their policy to recycle locks. She said she had a picture of my unit when she found it unlocked, and she knows it was mine unlocked. I asked if she could send me the picture and she said she no longer has it. I informed her that I am not accusing anyone of dishonesty, but rather that there must have been some mistake on their end- either they mistakenly identified the unlocked storage facility as mine or they mistakenly used the same lock on our unit so that a previous renter still has a key. The manager said they would not replace my lock and if I wanted to I could go buy another one and ended the call. Wow. I will be moving out of this storage facility. The mistake is on their end and instead of hearing me out, replacing the lock, they told me it was my fault and to deal with it. No thanks. I want a facility that is going to keep my stuff safe and then support me if there are issues.

Closetbox picked my things up from a Public Storage unit which had been broken into (this the reason for moving my things out) and delivered them to their facility. Unfortunately, I experienced a financial setback and could not afford to keep using Closetbox. They did something incredibly kind for me-they delivered my stuff to a location of my choice within a 20 mile radius of their facility for free!!!!! They're not just a business, they are kind and compassionate people.

I had a very…read moreeasy time booking my service and the estimates for moving things was fine, although it was a bit strange that a couple of lamps raised my rate/month by $5/month. (Doesn't make any sense? Let's keep going). Evidently there's important fine print in the pick up confirmation email regarding what the mover will and will not do. They will pick up your stuff, but you're expected to disassemble your own bed and wrap all glass and mirrors. I didn't mind paying for these services, but they definitely need to share this information when you book over the phone. I would venture that a good chunk of people have at very least never disassembled a bed. I called them twice to let them know I would need help. Evidently this was confusing each time I told them because they all seemed to forget I told them. Then the day of the pick up came. I went to my old apartment and wrapped the glass I could lift myself. I taped my drawers. All this was done before 9am. The time window I was given was between 9 and 11. By 10:50, they called and told me that it would be 1pm. Then began four hours of back and forth and an utter inability to contact those actually picking up my stuff. They finally arrived at 440. 20 minutes before my service elevator reservation was up. I had to ask for an extension and the building was not happy-they shockingly like to plan for convenience for their inhabitants coming from work. The movers did fine, although they grumbled quite a bit about helping me wrap the things I'd mentioned several times that I would need help with. But the attitude was very, "we have no idea why you're so put out." Um...I get running behind. But 6-8 hours late is bulls*it. The company credited me $25 for my trouble but I have to say, this doesn't begin to cover it. Closetbox then said a customer service rep would be contacting me to address my complaints. Evidently someone called and failed to leave a msg. I think they're scared of me, but all I've done is express dissatisfaction and I think I should be credited for a month for the awful service + extreme delay.
