I unlock my storage and all dead rodents in my unit, rodent droppings and pee, my 50 boxes, rats and rodents chewed through and destroyed all my paperwork, my clothes, my shoes, rodent droppings all in my dishes, in my clothes and shoes, rodents chewed through my extra-strong moving boxes, and also chewed through all my toiletries. Entire management has never contacted me/come by to survey all my property damage, and COMPLETELY IGNORE THIS SITUATION AND ME. Noth facility manager and the office refuse to give me their insurance claim form to file claim to their insurance company for $2500. The facility manager anf staff engage in office gossip, and the staff goes out of its way to make clearing the unit very difficult. There is only one garbage bin for the entire facility, and the garbage and recycle bins stay locked. I have to drag trash from the back of the facility all the way to the front where the entrance is. I waste so much time dragging garbage to the garbage bin all the way in the front in 100-degree weather. All this rodent-droppings and pee exposes me to Hantavirus, and there is no air ventilation in the building. And after all this. Otay Mesa Self Storage has ignored all my property damage due to rodents getting in my unit, but had the nerve to send me a bill? The facility manager dismissed rodents as no big deal because he has rats in his apartment complex where he lives. THIS STORAGE FACILITY IS FALLING APART AND NOT WELL MSINTAINED AT ALL. ONLY ABOUT COLLECTING CASH. This storage unit also has VERY NASTY POLICIES to charge $200 for trash left because no garbage are near to discard trash, and also charge $250 if you leave the facility late. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL BUSINESS.

I just needed to get rid off an old guest mattress. Fred's website was extremely easy to use to book my appointment. I chose a date, time, and left my mattress off to the side in the driveway. You have the option of taking a photo of the item(s) you are planning to get rid of. The day of the appointment, I messaged Fred to ask him if he needed me to be awake for the pickup. I had just worked a 12 hour shift the previous night and was exhausted. He replied very quickly to my text. He was prompt in his reply, friendly and he assured me he would take care of it and be as quiet as possible. I thanked him and arranged payment. You can pay by credit card, Venmo or cash... multiple methods of payment is so convenient. I Venmo'd him my payment and went to sleep. When I woke up later in the afternoon, the mattress was gone just like he assured me it would be. I never even knew he was here (my room is near the front of my house). I did some searching and, after visiting this location, I was not let down. This recycling business is located in the heart of the industrial area of Chula Vista on Main Street. The location is simple to get to and the entrance is not complicated. The owners definitely run a tight ship operation and work so efficiently. I have yet to encounter a long wait time either since I have started to visit. The business pays out very friendly returns for glass, plastic and aluminum items. The customer service is impeccable and welcoming. Also, the set up in the parking lot is very organized. The area where the customers obtain the baskets and trash cans to start filling up their recyclables has an easy access, and there are plenty of barrels to go around. The parking lot is shared with other businesses in the vicinity, however, I guarantee that you will not be parking far away or complaining about the lot being crowded. Furthermore, if you receive the Clipp coupon booklet, look inside for their totally wicked offers! I always clip it and hand it to the employee, physically (I believe that may be the only method.) Lastly, I did see a Yelp! badge located at their front window cashier area that indicated they were the best reviewed Recycling Center too!

I'm very impress with the services that I have received from Storage Outlet of Chula Vista, CA. I had contact several storage area, prior to moving to CA. I found that Letty was very nice and patience with me. I had no idea what to expect, due to the fact all my arrangement were made in advance over the phone. When I arrived in Chula Vista, CA, she showed me several units and assisted me in my decision in what unit I would need to meet my need. When my items final arrived, she was very helpful with the movers and me. I have been using Chula Vista, Storage Outlet, since I been to this area. I find the staff to be honest and I am very assured of the safety regarding my household goods. When I needed to down side, Letty again, worked with me to make sure I was renting a unit that met my current needs. Whenever I come into her office; she always has a smile and a spirit of helpfulness. She an excellent manager for the agency and she put you at easy. I do not mind paying the additional insurance, because I feel that I'm in safe hands. The facility is very clean and well lit. The hours are very accommodating for me; they are open 7 days a week, 7am to 7pm. I feel that my storage items are safe in this facility, and I find no complaints regarding the care that I receive from Storage Outlet. Storage Outlet was my first contact with Chula Vista, and they represent the business aspect on how one should be treated. I HAVE nothing but good comments regarding my experience with Storage Outlet, they exceeded all my expectation of how services should be rendered. read more

My experience with Storage outlet has been nothing short of a nightmare. Recently, my storage unit was burglarized, and the lack of security measures in place was appalling. It's clear that this company prioritizes profits over the safety of their customers' belongings. The facility's security was laughable at best - inadequate lighting and a complete lack of onsite personnel. When I discovered my unit had been targeted, the staff showed minimal concern and offered little assistance in resolving the situation. Not only did I lose valuable possessions due to their negligence, but the company's response was equally disappointing. They dodged responsibility, refusing to compensate for the security breach and the emotional distress it caused. Save yourself the heartache and avoid at all costs. Their disregard for security and customer well-being is inexcusable. read more

TIP: Buy your lock at Wal- Mart or somewhere else if you want to save $5. Locks are about $15 if you buy from them and just over $10 at Wally World. Liz was so friendly and helpful and continues to be. She showed me 2 storage units before I decided on a 10x10 and got a deal 50% for 2 months, and price goes to normal on 3rd month. I had the option of paying both months in advance or paying month by month, that was a huge relief! They have a dolly you could borrow from 9 to 9 (it seems hours have been extended from past reviews). Although 9 to 9 are convenient hours compared to 7 to 7... It didn't give me much time to run and load things after work hours. My mom used this storage in the 90's when we moved from San Francisco and she reminded me of this place. read more

The property manager paul is a thief. Has master keys to everyone's storage unit. Multiple reports have been filed. We lost over a $100,000 in merchandise. Fraudulently stolen from us. He calls the police to say tenants of over 5 years are trespassing to conceal his brave actions to steal. I would never use this place unless you want your shit stolen.he took what he wanted. He should be arrested for grand theft.we are trying every legal means to get all are belongings. This was my first storage unit experience, and it was great here! The staff is very friendly and helpful! My unit was on the second floor, but they have easy to use freight elevators that made moving in and out go smoothly. The property is well secured with 24 hour on site security and every unit has an alarm that is activated by your personal code keyed in when you enter the facility. The prices are very reasonable and the location is great for central Chula Vista. I highly recommended the Chula Vista Storage Outlet to anyone who lives in the South Bay area. read more

I have never had to use a storage unit. My apartment had burned down and the stress of not knowing where to put all of my belongings that were salvaged was stressful. But Storage Outlet came through and saved me!!! Cheap, spacious and friendly customer service... what more could you ask for! My unit got broken into over the weekend. when the manager Paul called to ask form me, he was very rude, and very dismissive. he asked if I would like the corporate number. I said yes then Paul hung up on me. The manager Paul, and DM Albert have not been helpful. I have been told this "happens all the time" and that "maybe you'll get lucky and find nothing of too much value was taken". I was told I was not eligible for a refund. All Right Storage is not secured overnight. The pedestrian gates are unlocked and the doors to the…read morebuildings are left propped open. If they have an alarm system they don't set it. I had a stack of boxes fall on me in one of their units. It was totally my fault. But I hurt my back and ankle pretty bad and I thought I should go to urgent care just in case. By the time I crammed the stuff back in my storage unit and hobbled to my vehicle, it was a few minutes after their 7:00pm closing time. When I entered my code to the vehicle exit gate it said "access denied, no after hours access." I found an employee named Diego who tried his gate code and got the same result. Diego said he would go to the office and get a gate code that would work. He never came back. By 7:45 I had called every phone number I could find for All Right Storage and sent them an email (they haven't returned my messages by the way). I decided to try to track down Diego or any employee. For almost 2 hours I wandered All Right Storage yelling and making noise. Walking in and out of buildings, through gates, opening closed doors, etc and no one ever approached me. I never set off an alarm. I never encountered a single employee or security patrol. Needless to say if I had been a thief, no one would have stopped me from cracking every lock in that place. A thief couldn't get his car on property, but that's no problem since even their dolly and cart area was unsecured and all the pedestrian gates to the street were wide open. I eventually got a friend to pick me up and I had to return for my vehicle the next day. I spoke to the facility manager. Basically, his response was that I shouldn't have been there after 7 and it's normal for the entire facility to be left unsecured overnight. Because "in 8 years we've never had a problem." He said that to the guy with the problem, unbelievable, right?
