Also, the rumors of great pricing seem to be just that...rumors. I'm not seeing huge savings or "nicely done!" like the spammed ad campaigns are trying to tell me. Shifting back to more local stop and shop...at least the labels don't lie and I'm not accidentally picking up rotting fruit.

Especially during peak shopping times such as lunchtime, or after 5pm? Ridiculous. One employee standing in the self checkout corral watching 3 registers? What a waste, both of labor hours and your customers' time. I don't want to stand in line at lunchtime for 10 minutes, I want to cash out and get back to work. And best of all, we're not enforcing the 15 item limit in the corralled self checkouts so everyone ahead of me had heaping carts full of crap and took even longer, while I had 6 items.

We've spent thousands of dollars and minutes at your store and use the self-checkout as an impersonal, quick, and self-sufficient convenience. Now, it's miserable and slow half the time we visit and 50% of the people around us are complaining about the same thing. And to the minimum wage employees working at the store during an already struggling economy and job market, it's sad to see you embrace a technology that is literally and openly aiming to replace you in 5 years.
