Stop & Shop a corrupt company,Stop & Shop gives customers points to earn as you spend on over priced food items, and the points just expire soon after. Majority of the foods in Stop & Shop is utterly unhealthy, and they spray the vegetables with poison preserve chemicals. read more

If I could give a 0 star review I would. Not the first time that I have gone to this Stop &Shop and purchased Meat that was nasty! I usually don't bother returning items that are expired or not eatable from this store. Last night I went grocery shopping in this Stop and shop and purchased 3 pounds of chopped meat, today I opened the package to prepare Dinner, as soon as I opened the package it smelled horrible, the chopped meat was literally all black inside. I didn't want to lose $16.00 so I took the ride back to have them reimburse me my money. This store has gone downhill for a long time. Nothing is fresh, things are expired, moldy products, opened merchandise, and the list goes on. Someone is really going to get sick from their crappy food. I just had a nightmare experience with the cashier Carl He was rude basically calling me a liar over a coupon. The woman at courtesy came , was sweet and rectified the situation. Then he began berating her as well . He even brought religion into the conversation. He has anger issues so avoid his line. read more

Wow.. What a wonderful supermarket this is. Cole at the customer service desk is a super cool guy who is quick and efficient at his craft. Stop and Shop in Smithtown is ok. They have a wide variety of goods. But the downside is a general apathy. They run out of paper towels these days very often. TP, often. Prices just went up (a box of cereal that costs me 3.49 just went up by 2 dollars in the last month!). And customers walk around: some with masks up..some with masks down. Ask an employee if they can gently remind people to wear them up (and over their nose) and YOU get a hassle. wth???? They give YOU the hassle (!!!!). I am not sure what goes on at S/S Smithtown..but I don't go there anymore. It's not cheap, its not convenient..and it might even be dangerous. read more

Supermarket I am not a fan of the Stop & Shop chain overall but to be fair, this location is better than most. Very large with a massive and impressive selection of organic and natural items, a nice sized produce area and pretty much all the stuff you need. Prices are meh- depends on the sale which can be good but if not on sale, prices suck. Bakery department is ok - I was never wowed by it though. All in all it gets the job done and I use this place in a pinch as it beats Waldbaums but cannot compare to the smaller chains like Best and Trader Joes. There are self service check out lanes but I almost always have to get someone over to unfreeze it so the convenience factor goes out the window. Parking in front. read more

Wow Stop and Shop...I have been here before ..let's see how good they are NOW . some of the prices are little expensive BUT. very large store located just west of Smithtown east of the bull. There is a large natural food area and big produce department they also have the Peapod delivery available. The bakery items are made on premises very nice plant Department. I bumped into the Manager Viki in the plant apartment , she was very courteous and took me on a tour of the facility , explained to me that the prices actually have come down here ..and Stop & Shop as a whole was making an effort to offer cheaper pricing. They never have anyone on the floor to help you. I saw someone putting meat out twice and both times I asked her if they had something she had no idea what I was saying and did not know anything. The help at the registers could be trained to be nicer. They are almost always out of stock on so many general items. read more

Did you notice that when I left my review, they left a link for me to follow to "talk to their team"...know what?..That link leads to the same screen anyone gets stating "register with us" blah blah blah It only supports my claim that apathy is all over the place at this S/S in Smithtown. And again, if they ACTUAL gave a damn they would have addressed the concerns right in the yelp post and let everyone see.. Oh and btw: when I was in the store on the occasion of the staff not doing a thing about maskless customers I did go "up the chain" and nothing was done. It's not like I didn't try..but ya know what? Picked up dinner from their self serve section. Rib ends were extremely salty and almost inedible. Hot fried chicken was greasy and over cooked. Prepackaged smoked rotisserie cold chicken salad was nothing but left over chicken with celery and watery mayo. You'll need a new cook if you want to compete with Uncle Giuseppe's, just down the road. read more

I really do like this store, but the butcher department is just awful. This isn't a reflection on the products they carry (they have a good selection for a super market) it's the customer service. You will stand at the counter for 10 minutes, have an employee make direct eye contact with you, then walk back behind the wall so they can't see you. Don't have a display counter with custom cuts if you don't have staff to provide said products. read more

This store owner should be nominated by the town as a good Samaritan. He has calmly serviced us in the face of irrational customers and quite obviously this pandemic has put him under unbelievable scrutiny. I am going to recommend this man to the state senate for honors more than over due. His attitude has been excellent in the face of adversity. The store has been great in the face of this adversity. The staff is excellent for an extended period of time now. I salute them all especially their main manager. He is a really great guy. read more

This is my go to store for shopping. Firstly because it is so close to home and secondly it is clean, well kept and has nice fresh produce. The staff are friendly and it is easy to find what you are looking for. They also have those self scanning guns and you can scan and bag everything with no surprises at the checkout! You also get extra coupons using the scan gun, double bonus! read more

This stop and shop has all the staples you need. If you go on the weekend be prepared for a line at the deli. I would recommend using the computer kiosk to order your cold cuts. This way you can shop and they will announce over the intercom when your order is ready. There is a kiosk at the deli but take advantage of the one by the entrance. It is usually open. I would like to see more of a variety in terms of fresh vegetables but it has the basics! The store is clean and has a 1-2 aisles dedicated to organic/natural foods which I really appreciate. I haven't used the scanning guns that apparently cut down your wait time at the cashier, but I've seen people use it with no problem. This Stop & Shop has a really good selection compared with my local ones. They had every kind of cooking sauce you could want, the same ones I struggle to find locally. It's fairly large and reasonably clean. Only slight issue is that when you get some items to the checkout, the price is drastically different from what was on the shelf. If you don't have three hours to wait for a price check, you're out of luck. read more

Another waste of time waiting on the checkout line at the Smithtown Stop and Shop. The Setauket store is not much better. I have been starting to use Best Market and Shop Rite. When lines start forming they open additional registers. And oh yea, no self check outs at Best Market. If you want the public to buy in on the self check out thing, you have to give a discount or at least some decent coupons if you want us to do your job for you! read more

after using the stop n shop coinstar machine and processing over 145 dollara and receiving a credit for amazon.com i ewas prompted to enter my emailm address. the voucher was lightly printed and almost nunreadable. it cwas washed in my laundry. i contacted coinstar. i told tthem the amount and that it was for an amazon credit. they basically told me thgat could do nothing and gavde mne a runaround foir weeks. i contactedv stop n shop customer service and they did not care about my pproblkm at all. i'm suing coinstar and dumping stop n shop. consider this va sarning about coinstar and av report on nhow little stop n shop ccares about their customers read more
