This is the only SnS that all the Nature's Promise are "integrated" into the whole store. That's what an employee told me. So, if you are looking for a product you usually get in another SnS like NP corn chips you will have to look all over the place. I looked in the snack aisle and they don't have it there. My time is valuable and I can't be looking all over the store for items. Keep them where they usually are. Unless of course, you are starting to phase the products out. read more

This place stinks and if it wasn't for the location I'm not sure many would go. Pricing is confusing with new only digital coupons and I find it virtually impossible to use the new digital coupons. There are better options nearby, I would suggest you reward good service or lack thereof with your business. read more

Unfortunately, this is the closest local super to our home. Lately they have been keeping food/cook food too long so if you are buying fried chicken, etc. it is soggy. They leave it way over the time to keep it fresh and crispy. The deli department is doing so many things at once because they're in charge of a lot and everyone is shorthanded. prices high but i get things on sale. frozen foods have gone thru the roof. Meat too, so I usually don't buy it anymore. last week they had 10/$10 avocados and they were superb. Good selection. Florist area is not that great. Cashiers are OK, better than the Norwalk store for sure. Store is well stocked. The prices on most things are outrageous. Parking is good. read more

It's a stop N shop. You get what you pay for but this one is a bit pricy. I might look into shoprite based off another review here. Coconut water is insanely priced at almost 6$. On Cape Cod, where most prices are jacked to haul it over the bridges, it's only 3.50$ when it's not on sale. Store is clean, check product dates because thats what you should do. With the perhaps significant caveat that the pandemic means that this business can't hire the people it would normally hire, we won't go back. The bum who is normally on Main Street, blasting his earphones with discordant rock music and yelling at himself and others was wandering around the store, making everyone around him visibly uncomfortable. The store did nothing. The scene at the self check-out was utterly chaotic: machines didn't work; people needed help; and the bum re-appeared. The store did nothing. Some lines moved quickly. Others were like molasses in winter. Ultimately we just just left. It was too depressing to be there. read more

Management or the supervisors are not customer service friendly. The staff working there is doing a good job, just feel sorry for them as they have to work for those managers. One manager chased me into the parking lot yelling at me, the customer, as I told him my negative feelings towards him, As I was standing at customer service desk, the Stop & Shop phone rang, He felt it was more important to take a phone call instead of a person standing right in front of him with a problem that would and should have been a quick resolution. I love shopping here. I've been shopping here for about 40 years, the employees have become friends and it's enjoyable. However, the pharmacy needs improvement. They are supposed to be open at 9. Three times I have gone at 9, only to see they are closed. When the manager comes in, she "sets-up" for 15 minutes, while I wait. I wound up going to Rite-Aid for my flu shot because nobody showed up. When something is supposed to open at 9, they should be ready at 9. Rest of the store is great, but they lost a pharmacy customer. read more

Stop N Shop is a good local grocery. Prices are reasonable considering the demand in the area and the status of the supply chain. I have often asked the stock people for something not on the shelf and they are very helpful even when they are out of stock. I lived in Cherry Hill NJ for 47 years and SNS meets or exceeds CH groceries. I miss our farmers market that made fresh pies but that isn't what SNS is for. read more

So as I was walking around getting products for a store that I work in and we usually go there to get a few things I was walking around with a bag on me I had put it in my back pocket which was dumb of me but I didn't have any front pockets so when I was in the checkout line I wanted my products to go in the bag it was nowhere to be found I went back to the location that I was in didn't see anything I looked around searched around and nothing I saw a gentleman walking towards me with a nice button up shirt i had asked him you work here and he happened to say he's the manager i said great ! Very nice at first long story short I asked him if he can help me out he had told me that he can't zoom in very good where I was located so I had said so if anybody in any given day or time was to steal you guys won't be able to zoom in in that area and he says well that's two different things wow so I don't get it you guys can't help me out when I personally go there for my Products also and that wasn't cool you guys should look into getting a newer camera system or something just said he couldn't help me unfortunately didn't even offer me a bag ! I have been a customer of Stop & Shop in Ridgefield, CT for over 20 years. However, as the prices are just getting higher and higher, I shop there infrequently and prefer Shoprite. The new "lower prices" campaign of Stop & Shop is a joke. While they've lowered a few prices, they have raised many, many more prices. I went there today and this is what I found: Carnation Essentials, 10 pack: $6.79 McCormick Rosemary, .35 oz.: $5.79 Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, 24 oz.: $3.79 Goldfish Crackers, Box, 30 oz.: $8.99 Boneless Chuck Steak: $6.49/lb. One Package - Shady Brook Farms Turkey Patties, 16 oz.: $8.49 Deli - Boar's Head Black Forest Ham: $11.49/lb. I don't know about you, but these prices are ridiculous! Please know that these are just some of products that I saw today. You can certainly spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Also, they are frequently out of products, and shift a like item into the empty place so it appears that the shelves are stocked. read more

People not following COVID rules! They are going the wrong way down the aisles, do not social distance, and worse - don't care. The management does nothing to control this. No greeters at the door to tell people the rules, no floor people or managers walking around. Customer service flat out said they can't enforce anything. I'm staying safe and shopping somewhere else. I really like this Stop and Shop. It's the nicest one I've been in. All the people who work there at really nice and if you say hello to them it makes them smile. No store is perfect, but these people really go out of their way to keep everything nice and fresh. Customer service has always gone above and beyond for me. Usually I do everything I can to avoid contact with certain employees at this S&S. The meat/seafood/deli department are all staffed by people who seem inexplicably annoyed when you need something. Actually like incredibly rude. A young guy in the seafood department didn't even say a word to me when I ordered salmon last time, and there is a guy at the deli who makes you feel like you just walked into his house uninvited. Sometimes I look around thinking, where am I? So when I need things from those departments, I go to Caraluzzi's. BUT today, I was looking at the fried chicken and there were only a few options because it was early, so I wordlessly took what I could and left. A few minutes later, after I had walked away, the gentleman who is in charge of making the friend chicken, tracked me down and told me he had just finished a fresh batch and he gave me a container of it. THAT is awesome customer service. Please don't let it go unnoticed. He made my day. read more

Not a great store, but the staff is very nice and the place is clean. Two BIG issues: 1) not good at consistently stocking certain popular items (some disappear for weeks, and some rarely appear that are ALWAYS at other locations), and 2) their prices certainly seem to be adjusted upwards to take advantage of the wealthy community, which is not cool. For example, a dozen S&S-brand eggs at their Ridgefield store cost about $3 but are priced at $1.29 at their Danbury store. Yes, their operating costs in Ridgefield are probably somewhat higher real estate-wise but it's hard to reconcile that kind of difference. read more

I ordered a pickup through PeaPod and was really disappointed. Neither the store or Peapod contacted me that the NY Strip Steak and 2 x Ahi Tuna Steaks were not available. When I got home I found that my broccoli was also missing. I am writing this to the Shop and Stop because if your associated with a service that uses your inventory and name you should also bear some responsibility for the mistakes. Informing the customer that something is not in stock seems very basic. I have used fresh direct for the last 4 years when i was living in Manhattan and they always email you if something is missing to sub it. read more

I have been a customer of this Stop & Shop for a very long time. I find most of the employees there to be friendly and helpful. I did have an incident at the deli with a woman that has worked there for a while. I was there on a weekday morning and the store was rather empty. There was one customer at the deli being helped by one of the two workers on duty. I did not take a number. However it seemed that the other employee was busy doing something else. The customer had asked for a few items so it took a little time. Meanwhile another customer showed up and took a number. When the other employee freed up from whatever she was doing she called the next number. I explained to her that I was next and didn't have a number. She then started giving me a lecture that the next time I need to take a number in a very nasty condescending way. When I explained that no one was there, she proceed to get into a bigger argument with me. As a customer I expected to be treated with a little more respect. I am glad I usually go there on the weekends. read more
