I'm giving them two stars for the variety of organic produce and shelf stable products they carry. As far as service goes they get ZERO stars. The entire staff is horrible, they are rude and borderline hostile. The general attitude is that you are interrupting them when you need to check out or ask a question. Sometimes I take advantage of their monthly specials, which you can check out by downloading their online flyer. I am crazy about their tofu salad and also can't resist their hot table most of the time. What to choose when you go there? It's impossible to decide! I cannot recommend Nature's Temptations enough!! The store is beautiful! The staff is incredibly helpful and their deli department is unbelievable. The foods that they offer are so delicious and Chef Liz is AMAZING to work with!! The store has catered a few parties for me and they are my go-to place! Chef Liz's visions of an event always blow me away. Chef takes care of all the details for me, so I never have to worry. The turkey chili and soups are my favorites. My daughter is vegetarian and they have so many choices for her. read more

I work at natures temptations in the prepared foods / kitchen ( disclaimer ) that being said.... Fresh food at its finest, a real and I mean real kitchen, better equipped, and staffed than most restaurants, with a real head chef at the helm. Food is prepared daily ( some times same items 2 or more times a day ) in small batches, using all the exact same produce / meats / seafood that are sold in the store. Top quality food from top quality ingredients, it does not get any fresher than this, and done properly, everything is tasted and checked before it goes placed out for sale. I could say allot more but the best way to experience the food is come in and take a look and a taste..... take a look t the pictures I posted... there worth a 1000 taste's Next time you visit take a look at the kitchen behind the deli counter, expect to see 4 or more cooks working away in a big kitchen - I mention this as its easy to miss. read more

Love this place! Nearly perfect!! Carries Navitas brand for raw and super foodists, Mushroom Science for people in the know about effective, hot water mushroom extracts. Has an amazing juice bar that actually makes low sugar GREEN juices. The most healing kind. Produce buyer is careful to buy from farms with GOOD topsoil. Very smart operation. Exactly what a health store should be... Great selection, great staff! Staff actually uses the products, and eat the food. I think this is the secret. What more can you ask? People are best at what they're interested in. D'oh. Yet most stores don't understand this simple fact of life. This is also one of the first stores I've been to that actually features one of the products I get the most "kick" from, the "Greens Pak" from Trace Mineral Research in Utah. Makes you feel good, visibly improves your skin, boosts your memory, etc. Great product, and one of the cheapest and easiest health upgrades around. This store is great for all those Health//Wellness products you are convinced no one else has ever heard of, much less has. Just when you're about to order Uva Ursi online, you come in here and realize that it does exist, they have it, and know everything about it! There is always a health expert or two milling around that are knowledgeable about food combining, bentonite (sp?) powder, and what to do about that pesky ganglion cyst (for example)! Yes, you pay more. But that makes each purchase into a lotus jewel that you lovingly hold in your hand and admire as you take it out of its recycled paper bag when you get home. I have never regretted spending money here. Ever. Go check out the smoothie bar and get a special something from the deli counter. read more

Great selection for small store. Most employees very nice but some of younger males not as nice to older women. The locals are very type A and uptight. While on line to pay the woman behind me coughed in my neck and was huffing and puffing in annoyance. Chill out Ridgefield sort of weird to have that type of person in a health store. I've tried this place time and time again as I love supporting local businesses. That being said, each time I go I am disappointed in the customer service (or lack thereof) and in their prepared food. Each time I have gone there hasn't been any hot food ready as a grab and go. This place has great potential, but definitely needs to step up it's game.. read more

It was a pretty good experience. They have a good selection of items in the front but most of the products in the back u can buy at any other store for a better price. If you're gluten free I would recommend going there because they specialize in that stuff. They do have a nice smoothie health drink bar in the back where a nice young lady helped me out. I go to Natures Temptations for their prepared foods, their bulk dry goods and organic or homeopathic items I can't find at a regular supermarket. They are a bit expensive so I don't shop here regularly, but it's closer than Whole Foods for organics. read more

It seems like an employee of this market, reviewed their own establishment, improper. Anyhow, this natural foods store is located on prospect street in the small town of Ridgefield. It is a nice alternative to Stop N` Shop; less crowds, friendlier staff, higher quality food. You can find very good meat, fish, cereal, soup, chips and many other grocery items. The seafood counter needs to be expanded. And the large area of room for improvement is prices...very expensive. Drop some of them and you will see an uptick in foot traffic. And please stop having employees review their store and name dropping celebrities...lame. read more

This is such an amazing health food store! All of their produce is organic, and they have have a very nice selection of packaged items and a bulk food section. They always have some amazing soups & hot foods at the ready, plus a juice bar and a large deli case. Additionally, everyone that works here is super friendly & knowledgeable. Truly a gem! read more

Went here so that I could order and try some raw milk. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and accomodating.

My husband doesn't usually like salmon, but we're trying to get our healthy omegas. I picked up two portions of the fresh, fresh, fresh prepared salmon here yesterday and we both wished our portions had been larger. The apricot sauce was an inspired addition and it was cooked perfectly. I've had salmon from good restaurants ruined by too much oven time. The chef here is creative, talented and dedicated. I come here often and am grateful to have a place close at hand where I can trust the quality of the kitchen and staff as well as the quality and freshness of the food. Its more and more important in this day and age. We're lucky here in Ridgefield. I often come with health questions and have a genuine trust in the depth of knowledge I find here as well. read more

I shop gluten free and although the supermarkets have some packaged and frozen items (for about the same price), this store has fresh food you can actually make a meal from. The butcher, fish, and prepared foods are pricey, but Stop N Shop are asking 12.99 and up for steak, so what the heck? If you spend $25 on a serving of fish or meat for 2, you still can't spend that little in a restaurant and be sure of what you're eating. The supermarket staff don't even know what gluten is, or that buckwheat (kasha) has NO wheat in it, but bulgur does. This market makes it easy and if I spend $25 more per week than elsewhere, it's worth it. Parking lot, no crowds, great staff, and you can find a person to speak to. Less stress is healthy, too. read more

I am a huge fan of Natures temptations in Ridgefield. i would consider myself a regular at this store. The only natural organic food market in our area where you can find gluten free products and many vegetarian options. All the meat, fish, dairy and fruit & vegitables are certified organic. amazing smoothies and juices at the juice bar all made from organic products! They added a hot food station along with there 6 soups a day offering great variety and choices ( 3 veggie and 3 meat). did i mention they have a whole section of vitamins and suppliments staffed with knowledgable employees to help direct you to what you are looking for. There is a whole wall of frozen foods in the back of the store including a great selection of no dairy ice cream. daniel, the store manager goes out of his way to make sure his customers are satified before leaving the store. cheif Liz is ready to cater your next party or event and has a wonderful selection of vegetarian organic options to choice from. This store is a real assest to the Ridgefield. i suggest making a point to stop in and visit the store, sample the food and enjoy the friendly atmospher. it is a pleasure shopping there. i am sure you will agree. read more

Im giving natures tempations four stars. 4.3/5 "that health food store on the left" has, over the last few years has become a name to me finally. when I was younger I would walk by and think (ehhh..rich people food..ehh) Nope...after over 20 times making a purchase their I Love it..the new smoothie/juice bar is literally amazing. as far as I know all of my friends say the foods are great...my girlfriend...is obssessd with you guys. she buys juices and wellness tinctures for anxiety and mood lift. (look into these products) . I come here to get my supplements mainly .....protein powder, creatine, vitamins that actually benefit you, valerian root tinctures, and my favorite product still is that tincture, right next to the 5htp they sell....(they sell like five kinds! maybe more. fellow health nuts, this place is great for me as I live on prospect st. This place has the best juice in town but it's absurd they scam you into making you pay their credit card processing fee if you use your credit card . When confronting the lady she said well $20 is the minimum in order to pay using your credit card when my total came to $17.88 . When confronting her saying it's illegal she replied well it's expensive for us to let our customers use their credit cards. Not only do I own and run a small business of over 4 years and knowing the law it is ridiculous to have a $20 minimum let alone in a grocery store/juice bar. Being a customer having to pay a certain amount in order to use my credit card when the fee exists regardless of the amount is deplorable . No customer should be subject to paying a businesses upkeep. Not only do I know that there are businesses out there with reasonable processing fees they have the choice to make it cash only sales to opt out in paying the "expensive fee". I really think this establishment should remove their printed out sign they made and show more respect to their customers instead of making them feel disrespected when naturally wanting to use their credit card. read more

Great products, great staff, great atmosphere. BUT. Awkward location, tucked away on a side street with a hard to negotiate driveway. Worse yet, every time I go here the parking lot has a truck or two making a delivery. We're not talking a little van, I mean tractor trailers. I have to walk around, through and over these drivers and their palettes to get in and out of the store. The diesel smell will choke you and there is lots of truck noise and chaos, so getting in and out is really difficult. Why does everything go through the front door anyway? No service entrance? Strange. Once I had to go down the other driveway and park in the back of the store because the trucks were blocking the regular entrance. Finally, I guess it is worth it because of what you get. It IS very expensive, but then again, worth it. I love the place, but IT IS A HASSLE. read more
