Getting in and out of that thing sometimes feels like a low-budget demolition derby. That said, once you survive the parking lot, the store itself is pretty damn good. The deals are legit, the meat is fresh, the produce is fresh, and there's a huge variety without feeling like you have to sell a kidney to afford your groceries. Honestly, probably some of the best prices in the state for the quality of the product you're getting. The store is clean, even when it's crowded, and the staff has always been friendly and actually willing to help when you need something. Checkout is usually pretty quick, too, which is saying something for a grocery store. Four stars, and honestly, the only reason it isn't five is because whoever designed that parking lot clearly had a personal grudge against humanity.

Here today! Stop and…read moreShop is 1 of 2 of the common supermarkets I frequent on the East Coast, I get kick out of seeing the robot. According to the locals, Stop and Shop IS NOT economical. For me I DON'T CARE, everything is expensive up here EVERYTHING! I did find some items on sale I might add but again with traffic and attitudes I just simply put myself out of my misery and get ONLY what I need. Being that the East Coast is so costly to live in, it teaches me how be more mindful of waste. Anywho, the store is always clean and organized. Everything is put out thanks to the robot so if it's not on the shelves, they're out until the next delivery date. BRING YOUR OWN REUSABLE shopping bags! I kick myself every dang time I go grocery shopping and forget my shopping bags and have to purchase more. Let me tell you, I look so fancy when I bring my own shopping bags when I'm home in Texas because I have soooo many of them and I like to make people think I'm boogie by having them. Luckily, they're about $1 depending on style but AGAIN $1 is a lot of money when you have 20 or more of them already. Do I recommend Stop and Shop? Yeah! My land o lakes cheese ONCE AGAIN is the generic brand I even said "make sure it's land o lakes" and they give you imitation and charge more. The cheese was clearly cut on a dirty machine it had red on it what looked like roast beef juice. Asked for my turkey sliced thin it's shaved and falling apart . Both were thrown away but I blame myself because I've never once got a decent deli order here I should of gone to market basket.

I have accumulated about 10 so far. I be looking rich in Texas with these :))

I've always been greeted with kind staff members and a friendly face at the register, so top marks to all the people who work here. Perhaps my favorite section of the store is the perennially busy hot food bar: they cook up a cheap but amazingly good steak bomb (always add spicy mayo on it, trust me, it's the secret sauce), sweet potato fries, honey BBQ wings, and divinely seasoned potato wedges. I'm telling you, these are consistently the best potato wedges you will ever eat. Yep, you heard it from me: Market Basket has the best fries. Anywhere. I once asked them if they were baked or fried and received the most hilarious response: "Yes. [pause] They are fried. [pause] In oil." I will note, though, that sometimes the wings and spinach swirl pies are burnt, so do purchase them judiciously on any given day. Also, the wings that need to be heated up at home and that are sold in the refrigerated section below the hot food bar are vastly inferior--don't go for them if you can get the fresh wings: they're definitely made differently. The store is always bursting with people and is somewhat cramped compared to wholesale stores, but it's actually on the bigger side for an MB. The Stop & Shop just outside (which some MB regulars will take the liberty of visiting immediately afterward, myself included, to check for several items on sale that compete with MB) feels like a ghost town in comparison. Lastly, in terms of current COVID precautions taken: the store is no longer enforcing mask-wearing, and at least 60% of shoppers (I was last there a couple days ago) forego mask wearing (if not more). In addition, not all staff members are wearing masks anymore. Social distancing is difficult because the store is quite cramped as I mentioned previously.

It is nice that Mom's organics exist. My only complaint is the price. I'm my opinion, they are overpriced. Look at the price of the coconut water in my picture. Compare it to Costco or Amazon and you can see the difference, even at this store's "sales" price. Overall, this is a much needed store but if it remains expensive, I don't think it will replace Wegmans nor whole food. Wegmans still give better value for $ on their organic foods.
