I've visited a handful of market baskets and this location is my favorite!!! It's just something about the overall design and layout that makes grocery shopping easy to do. The parking lot is very large and a huge plus is that there is a post office next door. I come here specifically for their cafe and grill. When I need a pick me upper I grab a vanilla chai and then head to the grill for a steak and cheese. Almost always I enjoy these two items. I would recommend that others give these two sections a chance. I'm not much of a grocery shopping person but when I do need to pickup items it's nice that the lines here a minimal or they move fairly quickly. read more

This is my go to grocery store to load up for my weekly meal prep. Almost every time I go, they are busy. For the most part, it is decently organized and stocked with a fair amount of workers spread the store to ask for any specific supplies. The cashiers are incredibly rude and passive aggressive. At least the baggers were organized with the way how they bagged my groceries but the cashier I had, Ana Julia, would completely ignore my questions on coupons and messed up on scanning them. She rolled her eyes at me and insulted me in Spanish to her coworker. Incredibly unprofessional on her part. I think chain is racist. Point blank. They hire no brown male cashiers of "African American" decent. If they do. I don't see them. Perhaps there is one in the whole company they bounce around from location to location , city to city, just to give that appearance. Just saying. You walk into the store your being watched. You walk up to the cashier, being a person of color, your being watched.....they even stop all operations in the line you standing in, cash out the cashier of big bills. Then cash out the surrounding cashiers next, as if their preparing for your robbery attempt. You leave the store your being watched. Especially if you have a carriage in your possesion . The carriage boys are secretly conducting security and surveillance aroundbthe property. They act like you can't see them watching you. I've caught them many times doing this. They will follow you to your car.... but stay at distance watching to see if you leave the property with the cart. When your driving around the parking to exit the property, their looking into your vehicle .....not sure what their looking for, ....perhaps a carriage, maybe a miracle to find a better job or a life as a whole. Place has the exact feel as if you walked into a prison system. Not your local grocery chain which should be fully diverse. My rating ULTRA CREEPY SHOPPING EXPERINCE. I visited Market Basket yesterday, 9/3/24, at approximately 8:00 a.m. While standing in line at the service desk I heard very loud talking that turned to yelling coming from the section above the the service desk. A male manager was berating a female employee. He was talking about the long Labor Day Weekend and what she should have done. She told him not to yell at her and people could her him, he said he didn't care and he wasn't yelling, and he was talking loudly. The entire front of the store could hear his bully behavior. I felt sorry for the employee, her coworkers heard everything. The service desk workers were working like it was business as usual. As a frequent and loyal customer of that store it was uncomfortable, stressful and disturbing. I hope that employee reported him to higher ups, because that was an awful display and nobody deserves that treatment and customers do not need to hear that. I felt uncomfortable while shopping. Why are the employees at the food counter so slow lately?? I literally waited 30 mins for my number to be called! My number was only 3 away from the time I took the ticket! Then the rude woman proceeds to tell me they were out of the chicken I patiently waited for. Like, I have been standing here watching you package the chicken to be sent out to the floor. Yet while do so, you couldn't have announced that you were making a new batch and it would take a bit? I'm sure you saw me standing here for the past 30 mins directly in front of the chicken. This place has a great selection of food and prices are pretty reasonable.But the frustration comes at the check out with the non English speaking baggers who don't know what the bottom and top of the bag means.I asked the check out people 5 times to put my pastry on the top so it would not be crushed by heavier products and they continued to put the pastry on the bottom. Finally I took the bag and bagged it myself,while the cashier was giving me dirty looks. Is it my fault that they don't know what top means ?Also I would advise to avoid this place on Sunday,very crowded. read more

One of my reasons for coming to the Market Basket in Lynn was that they carry "Kimball Brook" organic milk from Vermont - really tasty and not ultra-pasteurized as other brands. Unfortunately they decided to discontinue Kimball Brook. Please MB: reconsider Kimball Brook or similar local milk that's pasteurized and not ultra-pasteurized. I use up my milk within a week or two - no need to have it last for three months. Sometimes the checkout staff can be friendlier... I am a disabled customer who uses a service animal who is discriminated against by Store Management in Salem and Danvers. In Danvers, I was told that the customer assaulting me was not the Store's responsibility to keep me safe. Regularly stocking shelves blocks passage of any customer, but when it is a disabled customer, it is called UNLAWFUL DISCRIMINATION. The new Lynn store has some problems with ventilation of the air. Probably trying to save money at the consumers' expense of poor air quality. I got dizzy and nauseous yesterday in MB Lynn. My guess is there are some refrigerant gasses escaping and too little fresh air. Then breaths outside of the store and the symptoms disappeared. Oh, Market Basket Managers are unaware that they are to provide SAFE shopping to all shoppers. If they don't fix their problems, maybe they need help from the Board of Health or Lawsuits. Attempts at reasonable conversations about MB Discrimination and Bad Operational Practices should not exist. The BULLIES OF THE SUPERMARKET BUSINESS. read more

Great new Market Basket in Lynn. It's so nice to have this neighborhood access such a big, full service super market with great prices. If you go to MB, the layout and decor will be familiar. They have only been open for about 3 weeks, but they run a tight ship already. All of the staff I met were very friendly and helpful, and everything was fully stocked. Perks of this site include a huge parking lot, slightly less crowded (on a Sunday no less!), a market cafe with full bakery and grill station, and top notch produce and meat section. This may be my new go-to location! read more

I've been to Market Baskets all across MA/NH...this new one in Lynn to me is one of THE BEST ones built besides Chelsea! The Lynn MB has a bigger dining area (and nicer!) then other MB's. 2 flat screen TVs with the news. I also love how this MB did their layout for the milk/drinks section. This section has their fridges enclosed differently than other MBs. I believe this is the newest location to open. This MB is clean (like most others), well lit, has a great selection of everything! A former Lynn resident myself, this is what Lynn residents needed! Not everyone can afford/physically get to the Revere location, and I'm sure Shaw's/Price Rite are getting somewhat played out. Kudos to the DeMoulas family & MB employees for bringing some fresh life to Lynn. This MB is here to stay! read more

This Market Basket just opened up today. It is great. It is just like any other newer Market Basket. It has the Markets Kitchen and the Markets Cafe and a seating area where you eat the food you just purchased. It is really big inside. The parking lot is also huge. Everybody there was very friendly and excited that the store was finally open. I am so glad that this is open. The prices here like all the other Market Baskets are lower than Stop and Shop and Shaw's/Star Market. Market Basket really is the best supermarket chain in New England. read more

Yet another sub-par shopping experience at the Lynn Market Basket. Many shoppers ignore store signage, to go down aisles in one correct direction only. I've NEVER heard a single store announcement to remind patrons to be courteous during these Covid days. I bought a 24pack of Crystal Geyser Spring Water @ $2.50. Cashier rang it as Poland Springs @ $3.99. When I told her, she said, "You said spring water." I told her there's more than 1 brand of spring water, and she just repeated, "You said spring water." I had also originally pointed to the water, for her to plainly see! Then, I get home and as I took a paper grocery bag out of my car, the bottom of the bag ripped open. This, in turn, caused my pint of blueberries to spill onto the driveway! (Other stores as a rule put a rubber band around the pint; but I assume this is considered an unnecessary thrill at this store!) It's not worth my saving on average approx $2.00 per visit, to have these and similar issues! Also, 2 wks ago, they were out of Gevalia bagged, ground coffee. That dept spvsr/mgr told me, "Gevalia is outof bsnss because of Covid." This seemed quite unlikely! I went to Gevalia's website and they ARE STILL IN BSNSS! Summary: This MB is ok for low level customer service, but with best prices for most items. If you can afford it, and want a pleasant grocery shopping experience, this isn't the store for you. (There have been other repeated issues, easily solved by better training and supervision. In yrs past, I worked for 2.5 yrs at Shaw's (not locally). So, I know what a well run grocery store looks like and, as stated prior, this one is sub-par. read more

I have looked over some of the other reviews. And I'm a little confused. I have never smelled any thing gaseous. I have never been treated badly. Everyone I have come across at this Market Basket has been very friendly. And I have never once seen the market disheveled. Everything has been stocked and in its place. Since this Market Basket has opened it has become my go to grocery store. I used to go to the one in Revere but the parking is insane. I was getting tired of all the congestion with the other stores and the other market in the area. I am so glad that I have this now so I can just park and go in and get out easily. Northgate is a zoo. I am located pretty much in the middle of both the Revere store and the Lynn store. And this will absolutely be the one I'll choose. read more

I'm not to usually write a review but today when I was here at this Market Basket I feel as if I was being discriminated against. I went to check out at the 20 or less items line and was turned away, my cart was half full also I counted it ahead of time before going in line and I was at 20 items. But I was turned away by the Spanish cashier saying I have more than 20 items!! She also said that my bundle of bananas is more than one (WTF) is she talking about it is sold as one item. I clearly told her that I got 20 items but she did not want to hear it. So another person that was behind me she was also Spanish and she also had bananas and her cart was similar to mines but this lady said it was ok she didn't have more than 20 items. This is such BS!!! I went to check out at the regular checkout and surely enough was only 20 items. Had a talk with the manager show him my 20 item receipt, hopefully they will do something about it and it will help others and this lady will stop discriminating against other ethnicity that is not her own. read more

So happy that MB has joined the neighborhood. Obviously it's a very convenient location, parking is easy, multiple entrances to the parking lot make it a breeze to come and go. The store is enormous. They have everything here including fresh sushi, a cafe, bakery, fresh pizza and sandwiches, and everything else you could ever imagine. Love the fact that it's at the end of my street. Love the new rotary installed in front of the store it definitely helps traffic. The new store is nice. I have been shopping at Market Basket for years and I am disgusting at the lack of quality food in the Lynn and the rude trashy employees who stand around doing nothing except speaking spanish and drinking coffee.
