Excellent service and well organized shelves and good prices. The employees are all pleasant and ready to help/assist with directions where an item is located. The store (I go to Rowley in Newburyport Turnpike) is very clean and safe (no spilled items) and if an item is in the floor , it's taken cared of promptly.,Market Basket's prices are also reasonable. They also provide nice gardens outside in the Spring, Summer and Autumn. read more

It seems more things are not fresh, produce is a big one, often old and bruised. Recently returned a bag of pistachios that were old, dry and tasteless, and the sale price wasn't adjusted in the registers. I paid $2.00 over the featured sale price. Prices have soared, and we know why, but please, give people better, fresher food. We stood with Market Basket/Demoulas many years ago, now, please provide your loyal customers with top quality food without further raising prices. Thank you for every effort you may make to improve your store. read more

It's the closest Market Basket but it doesn't have everything in the store, this Market Basket is just 4.9 miles away from Ipswich Massachusetts. read more

I came in with a drawing of a cake I wanted for my birthday and they nailed it!!!!! It looked soooo stunning I almost didn't want to eat it! I believe the girl said the designer's name is Nancy. She is very talented and I was blown away by her work! The roses she did on this cake are absolutely stunning! She got all the correct shades of colors I asked for, even down to the leaves of the flowers! Thank you for making my birthday amazing and doing the perfect cake for me. I will definitely ask for Nancy in the future! read more

This Market Basket may not be the biggest, but it has everything. They have lots of people in there to help you out when you need assistance. I find that they also have the best meat section out of all the MB locations. read more

I love this store! Definitely prefer it above any other in the area. They have everything I need, the bill is always less than I think it'll be, and the customer service is amazing! I've had a crying baby more than once in line, and they have basically forced me to accept help to my car. They even loaded it for me in the rain! I often find interesting stuff here, like "Camp Seasoning" and flavored burger patties. Everything is fresh, and they do a good job keeping it stocked on busy weekends. read more

A bit disapointing only in regards to the deli where the pre made stuff is... no GLUTEN FREE options besides salad. ok... Were only asking for GF bread, wraps or crackers so that we can enjoy other things in the store such as a sandwich or cheese or a snack... just the basics so that we can also order lunch or dinner. There is a huge sandwich counter here, no one has thought of this OR run into this before? Instead you train your staff to just say NO, we don't. The deli folks look at you like you must be high maintenance. NO. Most people asking for GF are ALLERGIC.It's not hard to make a sandwich with GF bread. you are currently choosing not to. So, we lose out because the MB staff won't go down the bread isle in the store for some GF bread under the same roof? How come? NO SANDWICH FOR YOU!! :P read more

This store is always well stocked and full of friendly people to help me find what I need. In a day and age where it is often hard to find people to help, it is refreshing to be treated so well by everyone at Market Basket. read more

the food is nothing to holler about here imo. it's pretty bare minimum essentials. the staff are very efficient & friendly tho. smells kinda weird in here consistent w most MBs. read more

Great store, if they would put the red grocery baskets at both entrances I would give them 5 stars but no matter how many times I've asked the manager, they just can't seem to get it done, not sure what the problem is... read more

I gave this market 2 stars because I believe it is an ok stop in place if you're in a rush, but I would by no means spend more than 15 minutes in this place. I feel the floors need to be updated since there are obvious stains all over them. I like the selection of popsicles but that's about the only thing I like about "Market Basket". And can I just say how the name "Market Basket" really makes no sense at all, like those words don't make any sense when put together. I'd like an explanation of how these words make any sense in consecutive order. I don't really get it. They also have lots of Oreos and that's nice but I believe Crosbys is a much better option. I guess you just get what you pay for ;) read more

I've know shopped at at least four of the various local stores in this chain in Middleton, Danvers, Rowley, Seabrook and Salem. Of all those stores, the Rowley location is probably my least favorite because the produce and fruit selection is lower quality, past peak ripeness and the inner aisle product selection is more limited. I am in full agreement with the other reviewers here about the pros of this store being less crowded, conveniently located. However, I would rather travel a little farther to do grocery shopping in the Danvers or Middleston stores. I've heard that a family split up through a divorce led to separate ownership of these various stores and it really shows. Not much consistency of product quality or selection between these store locations in my view and I've been shopping at them for over 20 years now. read more

Market Basket - Market Basket Rowley, Mass location - Grocery Near Me - Rowley, Massachusetts

This seriously the nicest market basket I have ever been it. Huge selection of organic and health products. Much cleaner and less crowded than any other Market Basket though I still would avoid it on a Saturday afternoon. It only gets four stars though because they don't do a good job teaching the 16 year old baggers how to do their job. If I can't carry all my groceries in a basket then it doesn't all go in one reusable shopping bag either. read more

I live in Rowley and this is my "go to" store. I love it. Their prices are great. They always have what I need. Friendliest store ever!

Staff is friendly and helpful, the baggers are efficient and make sure your food is bagged correctly. Prices are in line and there is a great selection of spices and foods that you don't ordinarily see in a grocery store. read more

Great prices and deli. Everyone is always kind to me and my son. My only qualms is that they never carry the name brands I'm looking for. Their excuse is that the warehouse won't deliver it. Go to the MB in Danvers if you are looking for a better selection. read more

Not all market baskets are the same. That's why I have changes to the Market Baskets in Sea Brook in NH. I always find what I need there.

Have gotten two birthday cakes here, with good results. One was ordered ahead, and the other off the shelf and customized with writing at the last minute. Both came out beautifully. Beyond that I must add that the women who worked on the cakes were very capable, helpful and kind, and they recognized my grandson and me when we came back They are terrific ladies. read more

Keep this to yourselves! The Rowley Market Basket is the absolute BEST "MB" in the area! Newburyport & Gloucester stores are good, but can't hold a candle to this location. Kudos to the management!! Super selection, shelves well stocked, great checkout, store is incredibly clean. Best market prices anywhere! This has to be our little secret, though okay?? read more

Two days before Thanksgiving I was in the store to pick up a few last things. The place was a madhouse - the aisles were full of shoppers trying to gather what they needed for the next day's massive cooking event - but checkout lines were minimal because all the registers were open and the employees were all smiling, friendly and helpful. Lest you think this is an anomaly, I've lived here 15 years and it's always been the same - unlike so many grocery stores in the area, they are always well-prepared for a very busy day. It definitely made my excursion easier and it's hard to feel grumpy at all the cooking waiting at home when there's so much good cheer in the store. Best place ever! read more

Inexpensive groceries and a simple shopping experience makes Demoulas' my favorite grocery store.

I have been an MB shopper since the late 70's and the Rowley MB has been my store for nearly 20 years, but in the last 2 years, I am disappointed. I have a lot of animals and am a huge spender in the Pet aisle but in the last 2 years there has been issues with stocking of product. They are consistently out of something. I have tried shopping different days, times, but it remains the same. They take what products they do have and line the shelves with them so it appears the shelves are full, but the product you want is not there. I am talking cat litter, canned cat food, Temptations, bird seed, suet....anyone or more of these products are out of stock on any given day. Finally, I have called Uncle and have moved my business down RT 1 to Tractor Supply; always in stock and competitive pricing. Sorry MB, but until you get your Pet aisle in shape, Tractor Supply gets my money. read more

Very disappointed in the "new" Market Basket in Rowley. I have been shopping here for over ten years but the latest changes they have made are very poor. They no longer stock numerous products and brands that I have bought there for years and have moved the products, leaving one to just go around in circles in an already too jammed and small area. Employees have told me "we never have stocked this or that." Well, I guess if that's the case I must have been purchasing these items in my dreams over the past several years! It's disgraceful when you notice the elderly are now sitting on the sides of shelves and food cases as they grow weary trying to locate particular items. The isles are poorly marked with what they now contain and most employees have no clue where products are located. Coupons are rejected for no apparent reason. I was told "well they may not be effective yet?!" Target clearly marks the sale start and end dates on its coupons; but the food coupons that you receive in the mail or newspaper do not contain a start date, only an expiration date! Bagging is still not given any concern as I locate my bananas or tomatoes at the bottom of my canned goods, my eggs are put in bags with other items or in at the top of other bags so they shift and end up cracked. I may look able but a bag that contains 6 milk cartons or 20 canned good items is not only very hard to move but has also caused the Market Basket re-usable bags which I recently purchased to rip! Re-usable I guess is just a notion. I will be shopping at Shaw's or Stop and Shop from now on. read more
