The rotisserie chicken needs work. It's tasteless and bland. It needs to have flavor, a bit spicy at least. I remember Stop & Shop having Italian rotisserie chicken. Maybe honey and barbecue too. Bring the flavor. read more

This is the response I received from S & S - see below. I never stated any problem with the product being past it's prime. So w t f is this response referring to. They are just trying to sway away from the problem at hand, which is that they played around with the pricing on the price labels and descriptions so as to clip me for a few extra dollars and cents. I'm going to now file a formal complaint with the 311 system which allows me to report a store that uses deceptive practices or commits fraud or other consumer protection violations. I would not take this step if their response recognized their pricing scheme. Jun 8, 2022 Hi M, this does not meet the expectations we set for ourselves. We understand how disappointing it is to find out that the products you purchased are past their prime. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities, so our team should always be maintaining our shelves with the most up-to-date products. Stop & Shop - Grocery Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

If I were completely honest I would rate this Stop & Shop as 3.5 Stars as there are certai tradeoffs with Stop & Shop compared to other places. It's fairly expansive with a wide selection and variety of items and large aisles. It's also reasonably priced. But I would say it is is not as diverse as say Whole Foods in terms of choice but more so then say Tashkent. But the butcher and bakery are not as good as Tashkent. The drawback with such a huge space is that it can be difficult to find staff to locate items. read more

This is my nearest grocery store. I do not come very often because it is a long bus ride away. The store has parking and it's near the B49. The store has a section in the front for returning bottles. The store was bright and well-organized. It is stocked and has a lot of open checkout lines, but it can get long to wait. The customer service line is always long because the customer service reps are hiding in the back office. Which is annoying. The prices are on par with other supermarkets. They have a lot sales every week. read more

Every time I come to this store the sales items are missing. The service is terrible, items are expensive and I see no reason to shop here since there are better options. Been a customer from day 1 and am tired of giving this store a chance to improve. read more

Large store with mostly nice cashiers who remember you. They don't stock the meat, turkey hot dogs or someone's cat food and some of the customers are rude and have bad vibes. Also there are Gypsy's in the parking lot who do instacart they take up all the spots and use it like a smoking lounge & garbage alley way. Overall I love this place for veggies, cheese and frozen sweet potato fries. read more

Prices went up and service went down went back yesterday it wasn't as bad as before s

Ridiculously long lines. Stood on a line for 15 minutes with zero movement. Put my stuff down and left. Higher more or better people.

Very busy, large location. Kept pretty clean, with wide aisles and packed shelves. Lots of employees roaming around. Nicely merchandised. Parking can be a mess, so I park on the roof, which is easy. Problem is checking out. Although there were 6 cashiers and self checkouts, the front of the store can be a crowded mess, with no one directing traffic. Which there really needs to be. Other than that, this is a well-managed location. read more

Do a lot of Instacart at this store and spend at least $100.00 each time. Everytime I order Junior's Cheesecake, I am charged $17.99, but when I receive the cake the store sticker is marked $14.99. That's a $3.00 markup just for buying it online. Disgraceful! CHECK YOUR PRICES!!!!!!!!!! Don't try calling customer service they just tell you representatives are busy and disconnect the call. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER STOP & SHOP! YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY STORE IN BROOKLYN!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I come here a lot and I prefer it to places closer to my home. FDA recommends that dogs not be allowed in food stores. Managers saw this, even answered the customer's question and didn't blink; they continued with their conversation of who was deserving of a promotion and how someone else messed up by not picking the right person. Dog, cute enough... in the grocery store read more

My fav grocery store, lines go fast, food is always fresh . Plenty of parking . I do recommend this location

Had three home deliveries that were great. Tonight NAH. TERRRIBLE. Was the Instacart driver doing Door Dash on the side? or stopping to smoke marijuana? I pay for the delivery, it's taxed and I'm high jacked into giving a tip. TIP stands for To Insure Promptness. This was not PROMPT. waiting since 7pm, no one has contacted me to let me know they're be late. No text, no nothing I except some phony email saying they're one stop away at 8:30pm Only because I called haranguing them. If that was the case driver would have been here by 9:00pm the store is not all that far away. Stop and Shop blames Instacart. who do they have doing the delivery? Unprofessional . Does this guy even have a real driver's license? a big fat waste of my time. This is supposed to make things easier not harder for me They brought the wrong stuff, made substitutions. They didn't mention. Damien, the Instacart driver, claimed at 9:58pm oh I just got your order. Really? then why did they mention his name when I called at 8:15pm to find out where the order was? Why did I get an email at 8:30pm claiming Damien, was one stop away? I tried to send him a message asking when he was going to arrive, but the ability to message DAMIEN was blocked in the Stop and Shop Website. Maybe it's not Stop and Shop or Instacart but the driver Damien? I think this is the last time I get any home delivery from them. There are more items that are wrong and damaged. I understand if some one is running late. LET ME KNOW. Seems this Instacart Driver, Damien, shows up when ever he wants, if he wants. Very inconvenient for me. Should have asked to see his drivers license. Now I have to call Stop and Shop yet again to get credit for the damage items. BROKEN EGGS. Stop and Shop you can do better than this bad Instacart driver. How can I complain to Instacart about him? I spent over $200 on this order, Yes I called them today, got the tip and delivery fee back, yes, I called Instagram to complain. read more

High prices. Not very clean. Horrible customer service. so many options Stop & Shoo is no longer one of mine. Stay away.

I used to love this store but now the employees let pstrons do horrible things they shuck the corn in the store and throw it on the floor. I almost crashed my cart on a pile of corn skins. The place is so gross and dirty. I understand its busy but the workers don't say anything to the pstrons that just do what they want. It is like a 3rd world grocery store never goibg back read more

The terrible, rude, customer service on self checkout lanes, coupled with the new check out registers themselves that are far far too sensitive, have compelled me to stop shopping here despite the convenience of its location. Also, weirdly, has had a couple of vans/ campers parked on the street outside forever that people clearly live in. Bizarre. Staff here clearly hate their jobs and the resentment extend to their treatment of the customers. read more

Buyers beware: your orders via stop&shop.com have a strong chance of not being delivered! For 2 days in a row (!) I was "stood up" - there were no drivers to deliver my orders! Stopandshop didn't dignify me with the warning nor with the confirmation of the orders being canceled- I had to make a lot of phone calls by myself. I was nor being able to use my funds, while they were in the "pending status"! HORRIBLE SERVICE: Non-caring, disrespectful and not acceptable! Laura Kolchinsky read more

Average experience here. Went in looking for one particular thing which in hindsight wasn't one of my best ideas. So I ask one of the workers where the coffee creamer is and he looked at me like I was crazy. Customers were courteous and the store appeared somewhat messy but overall clean. read more

Store's format changed a bit due to Covid-19, with a really long one liner to pay. Aside from the long wait I usually catch pretty good deals at this particular location. Circular deals changed on a Friday so by Thursday afternoon basically the ice cream aisle is out of stock. Yes, I come here mainly for ice cream and my Porterhouse steak. There's a rooftop parking which makes it even more convenient without spending time looking for spots. The times I've been in the store I haven't really experienced any rude staff, so all in all its a more tranquil grocery shopping experience. read more

I've been filling prescriptions for over a year - paying out of pocket for one Rx b/c the price is cheaper than my insurance copay. My latest cash Rx was denied b/c I needed prior approval for this drug that I don't use insurance for! AND I ran out of meds b/c stop & shop never notified me that the Rx had been canceled. Spoke with the manager, Julie I think, who was very rude, wouldn't let me ask a question without interrupting me. That's it for me & stop & shop Rx. Hope nobody else runs out of their meds b/c of stop & shop's poor customer service & professional responsibilities. read more

Came in this morning looking for cooks corned beef that was advertised in the circular. There was none to be found at all When I asked the stock person putting things out I was told 15 minutes which i came back,Good luck with that. There is always a problem with sale items especially meat and frozen sale items. There is always a short supply of stop and shop diet cola on the shelf.Shortage of cashiers is always a problem. read more

its an extremely frustrating experience at the Stop and shop Atlantic mall. I'm infuriated with the fact that a bag I'm paying for I had to ask 3 people before I could get bag. Not sure why there is such security around a shopping bag I'm purchasing buts it's exhausting the back and forth with associates and a manager is apalling. your self check is set up with cameras if their is an issue with theft. not forgetting to mention the customer service from associates whose rude demeanor and focus on their personal conversations makes this time consuming. Will not be shopping here again. read more

This place is pure miserable. Yes, they are pretty much fully stocked, although their hot bar is a joke. If you come here, expect to stand on line for at least 30 minutes. Way too many people in this neighborhood for the supermarket's limited staffing budget. I'll never go back. read more

Simply put, this place is a zoo with the worst management and staff I've ever seen in a supermarket. At peak hours, the entire store has only 2 cash registers open. Just imagine that, a huge supermarket with close to a hundred shoppers at a given moment with only 2 cashiers working. If there are any other cashiers, they can be found walking around aimlessly until a long enough line forms to warrant their attention. Close this store. I hope all parties involved in it's embarrassing decline neck. read more

Open late (huge plus). Usually has everything in stock except beverages .. which is odd. Water is typically in short supply here. Parking lot is big enough to fit a handful of matchbox cars. Location is ideal - close to the highway, train station and bus stops. read more

Customer service. Stocking on the shelves. Nasty customers. Needs cleaning and better lighting.

The revamped rewards program is a great new addition to the loyalty key chain card, but what's the deal with the reduced hours of all Stop & Shop supermarkets in the area? I thought this was deemed necessary due to the worker shortage caused by the Omicron virus earlier in the year. Is this change permanent even though the cases have diminished significantly since February and are no longer a serious concern? I noticed that they have moved the bakery clearance items from the actual bakery to the clearance area by the public restrooms. That's quite unfortunate, and you'll know what I mean if you've ever shopped at that supermarket. read more

Stop and shop's customer service is really very bad. Especially front register employees and floor employees, Those are lazy very lazy. Last time I visited and ask them to look for the item, but they hold me to wait more than 10mins came back with excuses and they said other employees brought the key, that's why I can't find the key can't open the cabinet. The key holder is front of the register, and the item was runout they hold me to wait more than 10min then "we don't have no more" that a very rediculous. Nxt time I will write down the name and video of the employees. Stop and shop should do something of those matter, it shouldn't be happen again n again. Service is really suck! read more

There are a couple supermarkets that I like to go for my weekly grocery shopping and one is Stop & Shop. I have been shopping there for awhile to finally understand and appreciate their hard work to meet customers high demands. They have employees who work nonstop trying to stock up the shelves but sometimes it is so hard to meet the demands because of the location. They also have frequent "Happy free-day" products for cardholders. These incentives are great way to motivate me to try products that are either new or never thought I would want to try but now I am giving a chance to. I love the "try before you buy" idea that they are doing with these incentives. What also stands out is their New Arrival products section which is basically new products that have arrived for purchase (I am not sure when it started but it definitely caught my attention). I am always in the look out for new products to try, ie. Chip Ahoy brownie and soft chunky (these may not be new but it was new selections on their shelves and I had to buy them. The best part was they were on sale, lol). I am hoping that they will continue with their "Happy free-day" and continue to expand their New Arrival selections/sections. Otherwise, they will be no different from the other supermarkets. read more

I cannot say enough about their customer service. I had an issue that was a mess to resolve and they doggedly pursued it until it was fixed. Three words to describe my experience. GO TO KEYFOOD or SHOPRITE anywhere but here. The place is a madhouse. I ordered from the store itself for pickup. Not only were they still picking my order which was supposed to be ready between 4 & 5pm when we showed up at 5 to pick it up but their replacements were not what I would call equivalent. They were also "out of stock" on some very basic items. Go elsewhere, their prices aren't that great. Also a note to the owners - try hiring some staff and not working the few people you have to death. read more

This is one of my favorite supermarkets in the area. They always have great sales and there produce is always very fresh. The supermarket itself is usually pretty organized and clean. They also have a great rewards program that actually offers rewards on something I can use which is gas. Discounted gas is always a great deal. I love their natures promise organic line as well. The downside is the parking area is always full of crazy drivers that act like there isnt ample parking in the lot with additional roof top parking. I have witnessed THE craziest fights over parking spots at this store. But I still prefer shopping here over pathmark any day. read more

Stop & Shop - Plenty of parking - not sure why everyone acts like the lot in front is the only available space - Grocery Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

First of all the circular that they put on the Internet is different than the circular in the store . Needless to say the online prices are cheaper than the in-store prices . Every Saint Patrick's Day season they advertise corned beef and they don't have it in stock . Prices are rather High for a supermarket unless you catch a sale . If you go to the deli counter they managed to take the stuff and make crap out of it .. they can take cold cuts and slice them so thin that they make it impossible to pick up a slice . Parking situation is good though read more

Stop and shop is generally friendly and clean. The prices are better than other places in the area. It is my grocery of choice.

It took a long time for them to finally complete their renovations. But the aisles look better than ever. Love their updated frozen section. My suggestion is to get new shopping carts as they still use old ones that don't have comfortable handles. read more
