I've taken my cats to here for years. I won't take him back here. They don't practice medicine, they just want your money. Can you tell me that my cat's doesn't have an infection. But yet he charged us a $158. And we still don't have an antibiotic for him. He has swollen chin. You can blink receipt that it is swollen. Indicates some kind of infection, but yet he doesn't have an infection that he couldn't examine Archie and he wanted to charge us $400 for something that is unnecessary. Yeah, $234 For x-rays plus $80 for sedation that we feel is unnecessary. Made appt for a specific vaccination for my pet. When I went to pay for the vaccination, I discovered that they gave the WRONG vaccination. They made this to somehow be all my fault, they took no ownership of the mistake and I had to pay more money for the correct vaccination!!! Clearly profit is valued over everything else. read more

It's like going to a Sales presentation, the staff first thing to do was to advise on the cost per consultation wich is average, however that was a 5 minutes consultation and a 5 minutes sales presentation to offer 2 diferent treatments. I didn't go with either one. People who study medicine should do it for passion first business later. read more

I would recommend this place to everyone!! They accomadated my cat when I was panicking and had no clue what it was. The vet knew what is what right away and the visit was quick. They also called about a week after to check up on Grimm. I thought that was so kind and out of their way, they showed compassion when other places were more worried about squeezing that extra buck out of us. read more

Stony Plain Veterinary Clinic has been our pet hospital for many many years. We started with our cat and then continued when we grew our family by two dogs. They have been good with us in numerous situtations from having to have our cat put down to our large dogs liver issues. The location is great for us, the clinic is very clean, and the building is set up well. Dr. Shannon Wawryk and Dr. Jamie Lecky always serve our family very well and previously (before moving to another practice in Leduc) Dr. Mary Tyrner was our go to gal. We have always had great animal care with any vet we have had at this location. The only challenge we have had at this clinic is the frequent turnover of front desk staff and often confused communication between front desk and animal care (especially when contacted by phone). There have been many times we were to receive call backs that didn't come and times we have had to chase up important information. It has gotten better lately, and I'm hoping that it will continue to do so, as for a while it was making us contemplate whether we should change vets. All in all we enjoy this pet clinic very much and hope that it continues to build a great front desk team to compliment the excellent veterinary care. Our dogs also respond very well to the staff which tells me they must be doing things pretty well behind the scenes too! read more

I go out of my way to visit this Vet Clinic. The female vet is so caring for my dog and it is worth driving from the southside of Edmonton for that personal touch. They are prompt with service and very well priced. I also like the fact that they educate me about traveling with my pup and the adequate steps to make sure we don't have any issues. They provide follow up calls to ensure his vaccinations stay current and overall couldn't ask for anything more. read more

The reason for 2 stars is strictly for the fact my pet returned home safe and sound. Unsure how veterinary clincs work regarding front desk but I assume like medical offices the doctor is who pays the front staff. Unfortunately the girls at the front desk lack bed side manners and intelligence to do their job properly. It was disappointing as we were hoping for the welcoming hospitality as most rual veterinarians are notorious for. There is staff pet board in the front, and the girls in front seemed more amused by he pictures then helping clients. Im sure these girls have the education for the position, I just think the staff would benefit with some courses aimed for customer service. Terrible service, I had to wait almost half an hour in reception because they screwed up my appointment time (even though I had just booked the day before and the receptionist suggested the time). Front staff wouldn't take responsibility for their error. My cat was freaking out the whole time while they had other cats running around the clinic stressing mine out further, resulted in my cat peeing in her carrier. The vet was decent but I was already very frustrated by time we got into the examination room. Will not come back here again. The vets may be good but if your front desk staff are unfriendly and incompetent it doesn't help much. read more

Vet clinic is very expensive, the owner must be lining her pockets with the prices they charge, they have way too many staff, and a basic check up will cost you $350 to $400. They do not tell you any pricing, it's just a giant surprise when you get your pet back and go to pay the bill, I have no idea how anyone can afford this clinic, we have moved our animals out to Onoway and our vet bills are about a 1/3 of what they used to be. This pet clinic is basically for the rich and the elite that have money to burn, don't get me wrong your pack will get very good care but your pocketbook will take the hit, even on services that I was quoted, price usually came out double and even triple what was quoted. They also love to have your pet come back for recall visits all of the time and guess what you get to pay good money for every single one of those as well. read more

Best vet clinic I've been to staff was helpful and cheery at the front desk and my personal experience was with the young lady name Katie with red hair. She was extremely helpful and made sure me and my pet had all of our needs taken care of before we met the vet. 10/10 would recommend to all my friends also she was very cute read more

Used to be a good clinic, now I don't waste my time. They are always overbooked, running late, only vet that remains the same is the owner. The front office staff is overworked, you can hardly speak with a vet even when calling. I would not recommend this clinic.. have had many misdiagnoses as well. Thankfully I always follow up with a second opinion at other vets. read more

This is literally the worst vet I've ever been to. Receptionists are blatantly RUDE. You'll spend lots of time waiting on the phone, in the waiting room, and in office. Our infant pet was sick before Christmas and we couldn't get in until the new year. The condition worsened ofcourse. The Vet came in for a split second, took our babe for tests and sent her assistant back with diagnosis and a bill for 3 medications. We asked to speak with the vet to ask questions about diagnosis and medications and the assistant said, "Sorry she's already with her next appointment". We payed for our appointment the least they can do is answer a few damn questions!!!! Unprofessional. The medications aren't working so we called for advise and were totally snubbed. Would rather take our fur baby into the city to see someone competent. Total BS right from the beginning. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. (You've been warned) read more

The good vets never stay long. The front desk is pathetic and slow. They do not have a good arrival system as you can stand there for quite a while before any of the three girls will even look up and greet you. I am on time for my appointments but have to wait at least a half hour in the front waiting room and then the patient rooms for the tech and then again for the vet. They seem horribly understaffed. Must be a really big management issue there. Its usually stressful enough if your pet isn't well and then to have to deal with the above I think I need to find another vet. read more

My wife has tried this place numerous times, and myself as well. The staff is atrocious, they are unhelpful and appear as they don't want to be there. There have been numerous occasions where they lock the doors before 6:00 or cash out early. The last straw for me was when it took 45 minutes to pay for some off the shelf dog food as they only had myself and 2 other customers in the clinic and the staff was busy talking among themselves ignoring customers. I will go elsewhere in the future even if it means I have to pay more. read more

If you want your animals treated with care and compassion...DO NOT take them to the stony plain vet clinic. I tried for a week straight to get a hold of waryk who wouldn't return phone calls or address my very serious concerns with her clinic. She only returned my call at 7:30 on a Friday night as she was walking out the door, which she made mention of. She treated both our animals like a paycheck and runs the clinic like a gong show. Front end staff can't seem to get the simplest tasks right including handing out the incorrect remains of our deceased cat. It took three trips to get the correct ones! Medication was also double ordered when it was not requested and never arrived on time! After finally making another trip in to talk to the owner of the clinic I was informed that all those errors were some how our fault and there was nothing they could do for us. Even though initially on my third trip in, because she was too much of a coward to speak directly to me, she had sent out another tech that desperately wanted to know what they could do to make it better. During the final visit I quoted the mission statement which includes lies about being caring, compassionate, and efficient. As well as mentions priding itself on customers giving referrals but waryck couldn't have cared less. She turned the loss of our family member in a profit and did not blink an eye at her clinics multiple errors. This clinic is an abomination to the pet industry.
