The only thing missing is indoor plumbing. They need to improve the bathroom situation. It's an awesome park other than that.

Whoa, this playground is BOSS SAUCE! Perfect for everyone. Colloquially known as the Wooden Castle…read moreplayground, this place boasts swings, a sandbox, big tube slides, short open slides, picnic tables in shade, in sun, benches, bridges, ladders, mazes, platforms, tunnels, lookouts, a fun Totem head, monkey bars, fireman poles, ramps, flip puzzles, and a bunch of creative equipment I don't know the words for... its awesomeness overload!! In addition to the playground, there are clean restrooms (open now), water fountains, trash receptacles for both landfill and recycling, easy parking, wooded trails, spacious fields and the most inviting Little Free Library I've seen in any setting. It matches the playground! The crowd today is super chill, very friendly, and clearly not obsessed with pandemics. Children and parents are playing, picnicking, making new friends, laughing and socializing and having a wonderful day. It feels just like the before times. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR?!? My kids never wanna leave. I feel the same.

Great playground. Lot to do. Good amount of coverage for windy days…read more Sounds great right? It is. Well worth the trip. The missing star isn't on account of the place but rather the people. It amazes me the sheer amount of people glued to their phones and then look around in panic when they can't find their children. Ffs, Watch your kids, it's a playground not a permanent babysitter. If you think I'm being obnoxious, just people watch when you come here. You'll be surprised at the accuracy of the above... -J

Its nearly 15 acres has a kids playground, ball fields, fishing pond, gazebo and restrooms (currently closed due to Covid-19). It is a pleasant public space designed for family use. On this beautiful Sunday in June it was quiet. Parents with young children were primarily at the playground, while kids old enough to handle a fishing rod were practicing their casting into the pond. Teenagers were seen farther out along the trails congregating in small groups. To each his own. We walked along the paved pathway over Pine Run Creek to be able to reach Old Ironhill Road and the northern approach to the covered bridge. There was some traffic, so we waited until it was clear and safe to walk through the hemlock and pine span to to the end. From there, we walked along Pine Run a bit to see what flora and fauna it had to offer. Didn't see much, but the gurgling stream was relaxing. Completing the circuit, we strolled back into the center of the park where the car was parked. Our plan was to go next to Peace Valley Park, but when we arrived it was so crowded we decided not to stop because it would have been impossible to maintain safe social distancing, and so many there were not wearing masks. Just not worth the risk.

A word of advice to doggy parents that haven't been to a dog park before: let your dog off the leash and run around. There was one family that brought their dog and wouldn't let the dog off the leash. Then the dog was getting all sorts of defensive at other dogs that were just coming up to play, and it was causing all sorts of problems. The dog on the leash felt restricted and so he started getting really angry at the other dogs. He kind of ruined the party and a lot of us left after he got there. Bring your own water because they don't have a water source. Dogs of all sizes were there. Turbo had a blast!!

We used Google Maps to find this bark park and it was the hardest thing to find. It led us to some business parking lot and eventually read reviews on here for guidance. Recommend putting in KoKo or Santander Bank that's right next to Assi Plaza then driving all the way back to the last parking lot. You should be able to see the bark park entrance once there. There's two sections separated by large and small dogs. The grass surrounding the areas aren't maintained well but once inside the park, it's fine. My pup went into the small area and no one was there which we liked since the big area had a couple of big dogs which the parents weren't really paying attention to. Definitely prefer Knapp Road bark park better but not bad to come here while it's temporarily closed

Parking is a little far from the farm itself, but there is a paved walking trail to get to the farm. Once we were there, we headed to the farm. Once inside the homestead we were met with a tour guide. They were very well educated about the property and stories there. The buildings were fascinating. There is so much history, and artifacts inside. All the way down to the painting. I appreciate how they preserved alot of the original. We walked around the exterior gardens. The flowers were stunning. It was so cute to see the bees feeding on the pollen. There was a pretty good size gardens that had flowers and vegetables. The property itself was very clean and well managed. The bathrooms were also available and well maintained. I recommend dressing for the weather, and the interior can become hot. I highly recommend this as something to do when killing time or looking for something to do in the local area. It was very fun and fascinating. Takes about an hour or less depending on how many people. When we were there, there were not too many people. Maybe 1-2 other families.
