As a widow, I couldn't stop thinking about the future. Maybe one day I would date again, and the thought of losing all my teeth or wearing dentures was devastating. I couldn't even say the word "denture" without crying. By the time I found Matthew Dental, they were my fourth opinion. Every other consultation felt the same. A dentist would spend only a few minutes with me, tell me I needed a full mouth of implants, then send me to the front desk for a price. The estimates were overwhelming, and I received conflicting information. Some told me I would need multiple surgeries over the course of a year and would have to wear removable dentures until everything healed. Another office claimed they could place four implants in one day and send me home with permanent teeth. I left every appointment more confused than before. I almost canceled my consultation at Matthew Dental because I was exhausted from the entire process. Thankfully, I didn't. I met with Dr. Julie, and from the moment we sat down, everything felt different. She took the time to truly listen to my story. She understood my fears, never rushed me, and never made me feel like just another patient. I became so emotional during the appointment that I broke down in tears. Instead of making me feel embarrassed, she showed me genuine compassion. She explained that her husband performed the implant surgeries and outlined a thoughtful treatment plan, encouraging me to meet with him if I felt comfortable moving forward. The next morning, I received a phone call that completely changed my perspective. It was Dr. Julie. She wasn't calling to convince me to become a patient or discuss finances. She simply wanted to check on me and make sure I was okay. That simple act of kindness meant more than I can express. Matthew Dental wasn't the least expensive option I considered, but they also weren't the most expensive. What set them apart wasn't the price--it was the care they showed me. After hanging up that phone call, I immediately called back to schedule my consultation with Dr. Matthew. To my surprise, he was every bit as kind, compassionate, and patient as Dr. Julie. He listened carefully, understood how emotional this journey had been for me, and together they created a treatment plan that addressed both my dental needs and my biggest fear. Although all of my teeth needed to be removed, they found a way to avoid a removable upper denture. I only needed a temporary lower denture for a short period, while my upper temporary restoration was fixed and not removable. That made an enormous difference in my confidence throughout the process. Today, my treatment is complete, and my smile is more beautiful than I ever imagined. Throughout every appointment, every procedure, and every setback, the entire team treated me with kindness, patience, and respect. They never judged me. They always took the time to answer my questions and calm my fears. Looking back, I truly believe finding Matthew Dental was an answer to my prayers. They restored much more than my smile--they restored my confidence and my faith that there are still dentists who genuinely care about their patients rather than simply treating them as another appointment on the schedule. Can't say enough good things about this doctor or her staff. Had an emergency appointment with her…read more( had called other offices and was offered more then a 2 week wait for an emergency) for a failed root canal. Dr Pierre is professional and explains everything clearly. Went back to the office 2 days later to have my tooth extracted. Dr has a surgical room for extractions with a board certified anesthesiologist. He also was extremely nice. I was hesitant about being out to sleep so I had local Novocain at the site. The anesthesiologist stayed in the room just in case it was too much for me and decided I wanted to be put out. Dr Pierre spoke to me the whole time letting me Know what was going on. Easy leash tooth out 2 stitches placed and on my way. Followed up The following week to have stitches removed and will see her in 4 months for implant ( my decision ). Her staff is compassionate and goes above and beyond. So glad that I found her. Do yourself a favor and see her before anyone else she is phenomenal PS. I have no dental insurance and I found her prices to be fair no gouging here.

Two weeks later at my check up appt they ask about my medicine to which I replied that they hadn't sent it and said they would right away but again, never did. This Lake Ronkonkoma location is my new dentist spot and it fills in all the holes (pun intended) for what I need. Well, first it fit the bill for my wife as she was having some mouth pain and we didn't want to go all the way to New Hyde Park (where I used to live and my old dental location) to figure things out when SDG was right up the road from where we now live. Her experience was pretty positive and so we migrated our biannual checkups to this Hawkins Ave building. My first personal experience came a few weeks back where I had a mid morning appointment which I got to ahead of when it was scheduled and they took me just a smidge past my appointment time. While waiting, I overheard the people working at the front desk and they seemed friendly to other patients. The waiting area was also cutely decorated from the Fall along with some funny dental jokes written out in a few spots. I can vibe with this. Once getting called, the hygienist was nice enough as she cleaned through my teeth and didn't reprimand me for my semi-delayed trip to the dentist (a bit over a year, sorry). We took some X-rays too which took a little time as she was having a little difficulty with the machine, but she was apologetic and helpful during this. Back in the room, the dentist came in and looked through my X-rays and mouth to see that there weren't many issues to be seen. He was in and out pretty quickly which felt kind of fast, but he still seemed nice in that short interaction and honestly it's probably better that he wasn't in there for very long! I set up my next appointment for six months from now (the hours that SDG are open are pretty good) and I was on my way. Overall, Sachem Dental Group of Lake Ronkonkoma is a formidable spot for your dentist needs. It has a clean interior, nice enough staff, and generally smooth interactions during dental visits (my wife went the same day and her experience was positive too) to definitely keep this place as my dentist going forward. I am an established patient…read morerequiring dental cleanings every 4 months and communicated i need weekend appointments. when I joined the practice, I was assured that weekend appointments could accommodate my schedule. However, i am not now being told the next available weekend appointment is not until May 2027(about 7months out), Although the office offered a Saturday exam, it would not provide the cleaning appointment within a reasonable timeframe. As a single mother, working full time, taking off work is not always feasible. Despite my repeated requests to speak directly with my dentist about continuity of care and my existing treatment plan, i was told that the dentist is too busy. I understand that dentists have busy schedules but patients time and healthcare needs matter as well. I expected better communication consideration and continuity of care from a practice responsible for my ongoing dental health. The fact that i couldn't even get a phone call to discuss my concerns is shocking. I wonder if the message actually made it to the dentist because i never seen a medical professional refuse to speak to a patient about concerns directly and decline to call.,,its been days of requesting.
