From the…read moremoment I walked in I was greeted by reception with unfriendliness, arrogance, and condescending attitude. Though I arrived 10 minutes early, i was made to wait 40 minutes past my appointment time. The hygienist was rude, insulting and uncaring. I felt I was being shamed for my condition, and was told it would be a long hopeless and expensive journey. This was before Dr Errante walked in. He asked if the hygienist explained everything and I had any questions. He never examined or even looked at me, as he was clearly preoccupied. Worst medical experience of my life, which left me with PTSD, and fear of going to the dentist, any dentist. I have found a caring and effective dentist and staff, who have solved my issues, and I would highly recommend NOT EVER going to this office.

When calling Dr Romeo's office for a F/u appt recently I was informed Dr Grassa had moved to Sayville so I called and made an appt. I saw him recently at Sayville Family Dentistry. My initial interaction with the friendly receptionist was positive. I then saw the hygienist who informed me I may need to return for two deep cleanings, although she had not taken X-rays yet nor had she done my cleaning yet. I was then seen by Dr Grassa who briefly examined me then told me I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth and the tooth required removal. Never showed me the tooth in question by using a mirror, never showed me anything on X-rays and never explained why he came to his conclusion. (I had X-rays done 8 months ago and have never had tooth discomfort). He told to see a dental surgeon. No referrals given for a dental surgeon, no documentation given as to why he reached his conclusion but just a very dismissive /disinterested attitude about my dental care as he just walked out of the room. I do not recommend this dentist and I already have an appt. with a new dentist. I should have seen Dr Romeo instead of wasting my time.

He is very Experienced (23 years in practice), Professional and personable. After repeating X-rays and examining my teeth, he determined that there was no need for "a cap" as suggested by Dr Grassa and no need for 2 deep cleanings as suggested by Arkna his hygienist. He did however have to reclean my teeth despite my having done a cleaning a week ago at Dr Grassa. When something doesn't seem right ALWAYS go for a second opinion!!

As Fine a Dentist as You Will Ever Meet…read more I have been a patient of Dr. Mulligan's for over 33 years. (I still drive out from Nassau County to his office in Kings Park.) He is as fine a dentist as you will ever meet, and he is also a really great guy! He stays on top of the technology, takes the time to explain everything, and is a consummate professional. I felt comfortable calling here because a few years back (maybe March 2019) a guy I dated had a major tooth issue and a phobia of dentist to boot. He basically kinda had "bad teeth" and was a smoker. I called for him and the secretary was a sweetheart, like she was when I called for myself. She got him in the next morning and he continued to see them and was excited. From the moment I called, I knew this place was exceptional. I got a next day appointment and when I arrived, everyone in reception, were professional, patient, courteous and so very nice. The wait was brief and whilst I was waiting, I did hear and observe patients, raving about how highly recommended Dr Fisher was. Once I was called, it was such an unbelievably pleasant experience and I saw why. Dr Fisher's staff members were top notch! The office and rooms were immaculate and equipment, state of art. Dr Fisher made me feel that I had known him for a while and catered to my phobia of needles. I cannot sing his praises enough. Dr Fisher has the expertise and does everything seemlessly. I have not experienced such a wonderful bedside manner and professionalism by an entire office in decades. My procedure was painless. I will not look for or use anyone else. I had xray prior and I understand each place wants to die there own. I have great insurance but when I got there they wanted to take a xray fine but then they put me in the chair come back and tell me it's not covered I owe $125 while I'm waiting for the dentist. They got me out the chair do speak to them and said I had to pay now. It's not the money it's the principle. How yiu one take a xray then tell me I owe some people don't have credit cards or money available then get me out the seat said we need it now we can't bill. I called my insurance they said they're in the wrong don't pay when they submit it they will deny it and appeal it on my behalf. After hearing that I refused service and left. I don't want my insurance going to them I'm sorry it could be petty but advise people first so my suggestion is to ask this place first before you get something done

So I called Dr Shannon's office (still have no insurance) he took me into the office immediately (an hour after I called) and welcomed me back and took care of my toothache. He worked with me on payments and took care of me. My wife is also going back. He is an excellent dentist who will always give you the absolute best care. Definitely goes above and beyond for his patients. I highly recommend him and his team. My teeth are so white again! Hands down best around.
