Just one staff member when I went on a Friday afternoon, they were friendly/cheerful. Not the cheapest option for sandwiches (and we like cheap eats in Winnipeg...) but a nice change to having subs all the time. K+B is one of the places I often order take out from during COVID, and this past week I was able to dine in here for the first time. The River City Brisket has always been my staple order because it's that good. Normally for take-out I have it with potato salad, but last week I tried it with the jalapeno cheddar mac n cheese...which was really delicious! I do like the potato salad as well, and would choose that in warmer weather. It's a toss up between here and Miss Browns on who makes better brisket, but right now I give the edge to K+B. It's quite pricey for a sandwich at $15 ($11 if you don't include a side), but I found it worth it personally.

I went with the Montreal smoked beef which was excellent value. Employees inside were all welcoming. It won't be the best food you've ever had, but for what you're paying these days you can't go wrong with the value.
