Instead they would begin the following day. The owner made it clear that he had known about this for about 2 1/2 days, but he didn't notify me until a few minutes before he was scheduled to begin. We had a signed contract and I had given a deposit. I'm not saying that he wouldn't have done good work or that it wasn't a fair price. But not cancelling until it was nearly the time for the job to begin, when he had known for well over 48 hrs is not acceptable. It shows that this contractor has no respect or concern for the time of his clients, he is only thinking of himself, and is generally very inconsiderate. Find someone who is reliable and won't bail on you at the last minute!

I met Patrick when his father was putting up a screen room at our house in Colfax. He said he was…read moregoing to put down stone where the grass was in our backyard and clean up our flower beds. He was going to add 5 to 10 plants to the flower beds. He never asked me what plants I wanted. He just brought over plants that he selected. One of the Hydrangeas immediately went into shock, and all of the flowers and leaves fell off of it. Six weeks later it still has not turned around. I showed it to Patrick, and he did not seem concerned. I had a very nice, mature plant that was supposed to be relocated to another part of the flower beds, but his crew mistakenly threw it out when they were cleaning up. He said he would replace it. He never did. This is despite me sending him several texts requesting that he replaces it. Also, many plants come from Home Depot so if they are not doing well, they can be returned. Since he purchased them, he would have to be the one to return them. His father and my husband had an argument regarding a charge for the screen room. This had nothing to do with me or with Patrick. The fact that he has ghosted me leads me to have to leave a bad review for him. I am not a landscaper, and I do not know how to fix the drip lines that he put in that are not working properly. I do not know what to. about the plants that are not thriving. I have done some research on the internet, but it would be nice if he would follow-up with me. His crew worked very hard to rip up the dead grass in my backyard and replace it with rock. The flower beds look very nice too. We would love to be 100% happy, but until he comes back to see why the plants are dying and brings me a plant to replace the one his crew threw away, I cannot be happy. Alex is a can do person! He answered my call and met with me on a Sunday at my property. I was…read moreblown away because his yelp reviews were outstanding so I thought he might be hard to get an appointment with. My job wasn't a usual job for his company, a sprinkler system replacement and clean up with several loads of topsoil. He also rebuilt and added on to the rock wall that was needing repair. He said his guys could start the next day on Monday and be done by Wednesday, they had a large job they were starting. Needless to say I was thrilled! I just bought this house and I wanted it ready for my mom to move into. Alex did a FANTASTIC job and finished the job on time. Also I should mention it was not easy to access, very steep driveway that his guys had to navigate bringing in new soil. Alex and his crew were efficient, careful, communicative, quick and courteous…read more Alex met with me to discuss the project, which entailed installing a drainage system, removing a tree stump, building a retaining wall and replacing some dangerous steps with new safer ones. He made suggestions but also really listened and addressed any questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. Midway through the drainage system installation, he pointed out a place where I had some dry rot that should be repaired before they finished the work. Alex was flexible and waited to hear back from me that my repairs were done before coming back to complete his work. I'm so grateful for that, and also that we caught the issue before more damage had been done! The retaining wall and grading look great as do the rock work, drainage system and new concrete steps. All was completed in just 1-1/2 days, and for a very fair price. As an added bonus, the driveway and parking pad benefitted from extra gravel, including Alex and his team moving a heavy trailer to freshen up the area underneath with new stone. Everything looks amazing and we couldn't be happier! I would highly recommend Paradise View to anyone!
