A rip off on green fees. $100?! This is no more than a $50-60 course. Much of it is poorly maintained. Garden areas are largely ignored.

Run the other way when they advertise they are the "friendliest" golf course. This is not the case. Guys inside and Marshall are super rude. If you want to be judged and hassled go there. read more

The Staff here is great. The first time I've been to a club where someone from the Staff brought the cart to me just after I parked my vehicle, what service! It was a good indicator for the rest of the day...mostly. The one hiccup was the cart breaking down on the 16th tee. They were quick to being us a replacement but the foursome behind the twosome we let advance was none too happy. The course is wide open though water and marsh comes into play on several holes. The greens were in good shape for the most part though there were a few that were very thin. In many places, it was obvious other golfers had not repaired their ball mark. Horrible experience extremely slow play the absolute worst rangers around aggressive and angry but don't know how to handle golfers that hit 5 tee shots. Hidden gem outside of Mineral Springs. Beautifully manicured, the grounds crew are obvious pros. Great value, very nice staff and friendly marshals. Pace of play is amazing, finished in under three hours! read more

Worst place I have ever played golf. The Marshall followed us around from the first tee box rushing us the whole time. GAVE a one star because you can't give a 0. I would give 5 Stars, but it's a bit pricey on the weekend $75. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. Kate, Alex and another young man who work the desk at check-in are super nice! The rangers keep play moving expect 4:15 round even on the weekend. The only two knocks on course is golfers do not repair ball marks on the green either they ignorant and just plain lazy. Either way I wish somehow they would learn some manners and golf etiquette. The other is poor drainage. On plus side the course offers allot of risk reward. Great variety of short and long. Par 3's are fair if play from the right tees. Big difference from Blues tees and black (which are white tees on most courses). Course plays much longer than scorecard due to many elevated greens. Condition wise the fairways and greens are great, tee boxes could use some more grass.. Overall great golf course. Reachable par 5's and many good birdie opportunities. Greens are mainly flat however if pins are close to edge be weary of slight breaks and big lip or collar. read more

Great golf course, have been coming here since I was in high school so over 8 years now. Prices have always been fair and the course has always been well maintained. Lots of water to get in trouble with on the front 9, back 9 plays a little more straight forward. Overall a very fun course. Only complaint I've had is a rude staff member. Not welcoming or polite when I call to book a tee time, not kind in the pro shop. He is the only complaint I have regarding this course. read more

Beautiful course, but extremely rude staff. As a young financial professional I often bring younger clients to golf that may not be fully experienced. At stone crest golf the attitude of the staff and management is if you aren't a full fledged golf pro you aren't welcome at their establishment. From the second we stepped on the course we were chastised, reminded before beginning playing that we had to adhere to very specific rules or we'd be removed. As professionals I believe in golf etiquette but by our simple being we were treated as not being welcome. Whole heartedly won't be back as this treatment is an embarrassment to colleagues and friends. read more

The course has been my favorite for many years and deserves a 5 star rating. So why only 3? When I became balance challenged, I bought my own handicapped cart and asked permission to use it. Other courses have turned me down and I respect that. But in spite of efforts to contact Mr. Jacobi in person and by US mail, e-mail, text message, telephone, and through another employee he has simply ignored me. We called the afternoon before to book a tee time. The next day we arrive and they didn't have us in their system. No problem they got us out. A really good deal for a really nice course. I'm not sure why more people don't use Yelp for golf course reviews! But have no fear, I will keep you in the loop! Stonebridge has hands down been the best course I've played in North Carolina. Me and my friends played on a Saturday afternoon and there was nobody on the course! It made for a stress free round of golf. The employees were extremely nice, the clubhouse is pretty, and the course was in phenomenal shape! I have no complaints whatsoever. The greens rolled pure, and there wasn't a dead spot on the course. Overall I like the layout. Some challenging narrow holes along with wide open holes to let it rip! I will be back and telling anyone I know who golfs to give it a try! Fun times!! read more

This is a really nice course. I play there a couple of times a week. It's strategically laid out, but very fair. The bent greens are always in great shape and track very true. The personnel there, are very polite and go above board, to ensure you are comfortable and enjoy your round or just having lunch. I recommend this to any level of golf. I'm a Senior Golfer and it's very fair to older people as well! read more

Great course. I was in town for a wedding and I wanted to have a second go at this course seeing it ate me up the first time. The starter seemed a little grouchy but we...were a couple minutes late. The course is challenging in length and hazards for a hacker such as me. The greens were in very good shape and fairways easy to hit off of. I almost made it through the round without experiencing the bunkers but the green side on the 18 wouldn't let me leave without visiting it. Anyway, great course, great, caring people behind the scenes and fairly priced. Play it and thank me when you are done. read more

Horrible place to golf at! The staff is the worst and negligent! They are not attentive and the golf course is clearly not up to standards. Older golf attendants who are not interested in working as they are retired. Not recommended at all! Get some professional people as especially the Events person doesn't know what she is doing and doesn't know how to act!! read more

Definitely the best public course in the South Charlotte/Union County area. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I showed up as a single just trying to squeeze a round in on July 4 morning. Obviously they were booked solid but great communication between the pro shop and starter and I was teeing it up by 9am. The course is in great shape. Greens are solid and roll true. Never a bad lie in the fairways or rough. A few (like 2 or 3) of the tees are a little thin but looks like they addressing that issue. Greens staff should be commended. Pace of play was great for a busy day. Finished in 4:15. Bucket of 6 beers for $10 doesn't hurt either. Great job Stonebridge!! read more

The course is relatively easy and kept in great shape. The staff is friendly and the cart girls are cute. If you become a VIP member (it's free) the fees are even more reasonable. I will warn you if you are driving from Charlotte- it is a bit of a hike. read more

Solid golf course. It has a great layout and always is in good conidition. Beer was cheap as well. The greens here are bent grass, so expect them to be grown out and a little slower in the summer. The rack rates have gone up which suck. Other than that a solid golf course if you are out this way. read more

It's a nice track in good shape. We play here 5 or 6 times a year. Staff is pretty friendly and the food is solid. Just keep that price down stonebridge. A couple times we paid over $60. It's not worth that. Under 50 on a weekend morning is fair here. read more
