After my delivery, they let me park the truck & trailer in their parking lot. #GolfingTrucker The service was outstanding & the course was incredible. I loved it! The fairways were wide and the rough was low. The greens were receptuve and rolled great. I'm a fan of medium-fast greens with break. There are forced carries over water, but the closer tee boxes take some of them out of play. There were a few blind shots - but, maybe I didn't hit the first shot far enough! There's water, wind & elevation changes! I had a field day! Please don't ruin my course. Drop sand in your divots and repair the ball marks! I hope this place is gorgeous for a long time! This course is a great value. I may be impartial since I work for the military, but the ease of…read moregetting a tee time is a winner for me. Compile that with the best driving range in Sumter, the friendly staff and the (almost ridicuously) low price for a round and/or low membership costs, I give it high overall marks. Non-military affiliated golfers can get a day pass from the gate or do a background check to get a limited access ID if they want to be a member. Additionally, the course is usually in very good shape and it is absolutely gorgeous in the spring. The course is well laid out with a diverse mix of dog-legs, varying lengths, elevation changes, and water hazards. It will give you a good challenge, especially played from the tips (610 yard par 5!). True, the greens aren't lethal fast and the carts don't have GPS in them, but think these are minor things in the grand scheme of golfing. I highly recommend it.

Staff are very friendly people and the whole atmosphere is extremely laid back. Me and my foursome are duffers in the worst degree, and the design is great for "limited skill" players such as ourselves; the hazards aren't too terribly punishing and the fairways are wide open. Low handicappers will still find a lot of challenge here, but the layout is very forgiving. The cart paths are an adventure to be sure, they've got a distinct "post apocalypse" vibe, but the Yamaha carts are zippy and well kept, and they're certainly up to the task. Four cupholders for two seats! Perfect for a water and an adult beverage for each serious athlete. Shout out to the total bro manning the cart garage. Thanks for getting her washed up and topped off for us. Side note: If you're one of the folks that threw beer cans and candy wrappers all over the place, go jump in a lake. There's literally a trash can every 3 to 4 holes, there's absolutely no reason to do this whatsoever. Come play Oak Hills! Very relaxing ambience suitable for golfers of all skill levels.

What an excellent heart and mind towards customer service, I didn't get her name but she had a "necklace tat"...IT WAS A TREAT TO FEEL HER WARMTH after taking a bogey on the ninth hole.
