For me being a total newbie to golf, they made me feel at home. You go into the clubhouse to grab your bucket of balls and that's all! It's really quiet everyone's in their own world so it made me less nervous. This place was very well taken care of. Great place to hit some shots! read more

This is a great place for accessible golf. Friendly and inviting staff. I planned on hitting a bucket at the range, but opted to play the Loop par 3 course instead. The course is a unique setup, with three greens that have four different tee boxes per green. Shots play anywhere from 60 yards to 150. I was in town for work, but I can see this as the perfect place to work on your short game, or to bring your kids to introduce them to the game of golf. $10 for the round, and you can play as many holes as you want in 2 hours. There are also 3 back tees that create either 3 long par 3s, or 3 par 4s that can be played as well. This is a fun place that is perfect to bringing more people into the game with its affordability and lack of pretension. You won't find perfect greens or conditions, but that all fells secondary to what you do get. read more

Great driving range! Plenty of yardage sticks to hone your game. About 90 yards of grass tee boxes that are pretty well-kept. Also a practice green. Directly behind the Cayce water tower; just about 1/2 mile off of I-26. read more

This is a more than a driving range. I'm yet to play the par 3 courses though. We tried today but the course was too wet. The range is well kept. Nice quality balls. They give you a pin sheet at the desk with about 20 different yardages. The turf is pretty good too. No problems finding good spots to hit off of. They also have wash basins spread along the stations, but my only gripe is there could be a few more, and the brushes need replacing They also have a large putting green. Pro shop is actually pretty good. Small selection of balls and it looked like you can get your clubs regripped if you wanted. The practice facility gets 5 stars, and when I get a chance to play the course I'll update my review. Update: I played the par 3 course and it is really nice. Greens are nice and hold. Bunkers are decent and tee boxes are ok. It is definitely a good value compared to the other executive course I've played in the area. You play 3 holes from different yardages. When I played, I was the only one out there. I've visited this place a few times now and it's always a great experience. Pro shop folks are super nice. This is my go to practice facility now, even though it's not the closest to me. read more

I am tbe Editor of Long Drive Golf Magazine and a competitor in ParaLong Drive events. The Par Tee Golf Center is, in my opinion, the best host facility on the east coast for championship long drive events. The grid is laid out with great site lines and there is ample space for even the longest of hitters from around the world for the sport of Long Drive. The hospitality of the staff was excellent and the food prices were reasonable too. The prices for the various sizes of range balls were competitive with other golf facilities. I highly recommend the Par Tee Golf Center for anyone looking for a training facility in the Columbia area. read more

A nice driving range just outside Columbia and I would recommend it. There are lots of available grass tee areas and a large bucket (about 120 balls) is only $10.00 and they are nice, fresh balls. Also, despite earlier reviews they now have credit card capability and the staff seemed very service oriented. From a golfer's standpoint if there is a weakness I'd say it's the lack of distance markers. There are a plethora of available targets to hit to, but none of the distances are marked. The putting green is not in great shape, but I went there to work on full swing so that didn't affect my review. Just wanted you to know that up front. The other negative I have to mention is the place can be difficult to access. When coming from Columbia you are forced to make a U-Turn which is, at best, not a great choice. read more

For a public driving range, the amenities are great. Tom is a private-club level teaching pro. The pro-shop has a good selection of gear and great prices. They have a full service operation from re-gripping to club fitting to the best selection of G2 in the Carolinas. The range can get busy, but this is the training facility for the USC golf team so it is always in good condition. The range includes club washing bins about every 5 bays. The only downside is that the putting green can be banged up from time to time. read more

Bare-bones facility with a great view of the rolling hills of the midlands. Rates are pretty good. Nice guy owns the place. My only complaint is the lack of a putting green. Says there is putt putt but there isn't. read more

Didn't get to try the range, but it looked really nice. No trees or covering against the sun. But otherwise a beautiful layout. But, I promised my daughter we could play some mini-golf today, apparently it's not playable at Par-Tee right now which is a bummer. read more

Great Driving range! My Understanding is that this facility recently changed owners. Tom is the new owner, he is a true PGA professional and a great guy. I hit him up for a quick lesson and he really helped and had some good pointers. It's a nice facility and he is working on making it even better. I was in Columbia for business for one week and stopped by a couple nights after work, I really enjoyed the facility. Thanks Tom! read more
