The drive up to the Inn is pretty easy-- you get off the highway, go through a couple neighborhoods and you're there. It's completely enclosed in trees (even though it's right around the corner from the U of A stadium), and they offer a decent size parking lot for your parties to park. The only thing that is slightly confusing is that there is no one there to guide you where to go. There was more than one wedding going on the day that we were there, and although there are signs that guide you where to park, there aren't signs guiding you to where your party is located. But regardless of that, when you walk up to the Inn itself, there is a beautiful fountain and quaint landscaping that surrounds a circular driveway. The porch on the building is superb-- something right out of the old south, complete with ceiling fans and all. They offer seating on the porch as well as a TV! Our party was located around the porch on a flagstone porch that led into a dining room. On the flagstone porch they had the wedding chairs set up and a nice little set up for the bridal party to stand under. When the ceremony was over we had to carry the white chairs ourselves (kind of ghetto in my opinion) into the dining area to eat. Inside the dining room, they offered a nice fall-esque set up on each table complete with candles and pumpkins. The food was all buffet style with southern food and finger food, which was brought in by the bridal parties. The place was really nice overall, especially for outdoor weddings-- if you're a spectator. I'm not sure how the process went for the booking of the wedding. But I was pleased as a visitor.

Another times, I saw them from the balcony, several more deer. In fact, they seemed within an arm's reach. The balcony was clean with a covered table, hot tub and a means to charcoal meats. The grill utensils hung along the guard rails. Once inside, it appeared very clean. Every possible amenity was available (except robes or q-tips). Fireplace, cut wood, lighter, microwave, fold out couch, mini fridge, window unit, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, table and 2 chairs, tv, wifi, ceiling fan, towels (request extra if using the hot tub), shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Of course, a large cozy bed! The hot tub is small. My best guess would be that they can accommodate 4 small bodies max. Great jets and very hot water! The showers are so clean and sparkly! The shampoo, conditioner and body soap hang on the wall. All have a very mild scent. It was a perfect get away for me.

Short Version: If you are staying for a short time period avoid the "timeshare treatment" and fees. The housekeeping and room size won't make it an enjoyable experience. Book a true hotel that can help make your stay comfortable. I booked a smaller room directly through the Marriott website for a 3-night stay. Knowing the room type, I specifically called ahead to confirm we would receive daily housekeeping. The representative assured me we would get what they called a "daily tidy" service. After the first day, we returned to an untouched room. When I called the front desk on July 17, 2026, I was told they only offer every-other-day service and that the "daily tidy" description was "misleading" (their words). They clarified it was simply a limited clean every other day. At that point, it was too late to change anything, so we made do. The next day we returned around 3pm hoping to nap and shower before evening plans. The room was exactly as we had left it. At the front desk, staff explained they have until 4pm to service rooms and prioritize checkouts over stayovers. While I understand operational realities, I was surprised and frustrated that nothing had been done by mid-afternoon. The same associate I had spoken with the day before rolled her eyes at me, which only added to the poor experience. No one seemed to view this as an issue worth addressing. I asked if they could at least bring fresh towels to the door so we wouldn't have to vacate the room. Shortly after returning, we received multiple phone calls from the front desk and a housekeeper knocking--disrupting our attempt to rest. When the housekeeper arrived, she only had one towel initially. She later returned with towels but no hand towels or washcloths. By then it was too late for any meaningful tidy. The room also had a persistent musty smell, likely made worse by damp bath and beach towels hanging to dry. As non-timeshare guests, we expected standard Marriott service levels rather than reduced attention. We didn't stay long enough to use laundry facilities or most amenities, but the pools appeared well-maintained and the game room was clean. Unfortunately, those positives couldn't make up for the core failures in housekeeping and guest service. Over the past few years I've been shifting more toward Hilton properties, which have felt more dependable and consistent. Every time I give Marriott another chance, I end up disappointed. This was the lowest-bar experience I've had in a while: I simply wanted basic daily tidying and towel service so the room wouldn't smell musty. Even my younger children, who don't travel with us often and loved the big pool, thought the overall stay was disappointing. I waited for a manager follow-up or even a simple morning check-in from the front desk, but nothing happened. It seemed the 4pm deadline was all that mattered. We were in building 105 which had five bedrooms and four baths. We had about 14 people from several different families and this was a perfect setup for us. Very large common area with several tables and many chairs. Various sized bathrooms with a mix of tubs and walk-in showers. One room had a king size bed and the other four each had two double beds. It was right across from the pond and disc golf course which we liked. Just a short walk to the pool and Soda Steve's restaurant. The water was hot and showers had good pressure. A/C worked well. We liked the property's gift shop and little game room with the ping pong and foosball tables. Having said that, I'm not sure we would return in the future. As many have mentioned in the reviews the "resort" has not aged well. Our building was musty and outdated. Many things were bent or patched together. Some of the blinds did not shut, handles were loose, light bulbs needed replaced, light fixtures had a few bugs in them and the exterior was shabby and poorly managed. The cooking items in the kitchen were just a hodge podge of items. Many windows had film on them that obstructed the view. Three of the rooms had floor to ceiling wood paneling and were very outdated. You got the feeling the friendly staff cleaned as well as they could but were having a hard time keeping up with the older property. Building 105 is located right next to an abandoned looking private residence. For $1200 for two nights you really expect more. The skating rink was a concrete floor in a building that was not air- conditioned. The hot tub jets worked but the heater was broken. There was no internet or wi-fi. There was a TV but no cable and channels were very limited and this was pretty disappointing. We were disappointed as well that there were no queen beds but only double beds. The rooms certainly could have accommodated queen beds. We all agreed that the quality of the place was the level of a Motel 6 or less which is a shame since the property is really laid out well and has a lot of potential. Hopefully an investment in funds can someday bring this place back to what it used to be.
