The hiking trails are well-maintained and offer wonderful exploration opportunities, including to waterfalls, water features plus high vantage points with a great view looking out over the scenery below. All of this is offered to the Ozark Mountains and free of charge, as the state parks offer visits for free sponsored by the state of Arkansas. This is a favorite place of ours to go, and we come at least once a year - usually in the spring and often times we will come a second or third time during the year in the fall too. Bald eagles are easy to spot in the area and the state park offers a marina tour that takes guests out in season to not only take a tour around the lake and learn about the history and the beauty of the area, but also observe the wildlife and the birds naturally live in this area. Many boaters, some swimmers (with designated areas and beaches even), some fishermen, and hikers scattered this area of Arkansas just outside of Hot Springs. We instead stayed at Echo Canyon which is not technically part of the state park, but exists on Lake Ouachita.

The RV park is amazing. First of all, the playground is nice for kids of all ages. They have a…read moresmaller playground and a larger one. They also have a separate swing set which is nice for older kids to sit on and listen to something. In the same area they have a pavilion which has chess, checkers, a grill, and several picnic tables. The chess board can occupy people for a while. Second of all, the staff is nice and friendly. I went in to get a cup of ice and they went and got a cup of ice. Next, they have two separate pools. One that has a game room and is twenty-one and over. The other one was family friendly and was next to the playground. It also had a small splash pad. The showers were clean. Most of them had hooks except for shower one. Also, the park had two areas. One for the long term RVers and one for the people who were only going to stay a few nights. The cabins and treehouses from what I could see were nice. In addition, it is not far from the town but not inside it which gives a sense of peace. If you are a mountain biker or hiker it is not far from the hill/mountain. Finally, the staff were very accommodating. We needed two extra nights and they were so nice and let us have those nights. When we left without our things on the table, they called and asked if we forgot them. And when we were confused they said that we were supposed to leave that morning. We said we needed another night, then they were able to accommodate the change. Overall, an amazing place and experience.

They've been there for over two years now and the park doesn't seem to care that they are permanent there. They still treat them like crap. My daughter is professional and sensitive and caring of others and doesn't deserve what they're doing. Basically they got mad at her for telling someone not to speed through the park and said that it's their job to do that but they don't do it.

This is certainly not a resort, and is at least a quarter mile from White River, feeding Beaver Lake. Pretty Large RV PK, With Many Permanent Residents. No sign at entrance, and we passed it by winding around a neighborhood of houses that was between the RV Park and the true water's Edge. Verizon signal was good at 3 jiggers; and stronger than their wifi. We were about 100 yds from nice new looking bathhouse which had wifi antenna with good reception at bathhouse but weak at our camper. Supposedly there are repeaters to amplify the WiFi signal, but they were not operational. We got by streaming YouTube TV through our Verizon Hotspot on our phones. We had to buy an extra sewer hose to connect to sewer, as it was placed so far toward entrance of the site, rather than toward rear of site where electric and water were appropriately placed. Nice courteous staff. We were on a level, narrow concrete pad; ~half of sites were gravel; no picnic table.

This location had one of the coolest advertisements we've seen -- putt putt golf, a kids…read moreplayground, a heated splash pad, a bounce pad, a full kitchen/restaurant, and even access to another nearby park. Unfortunately, almost none of it was actually available or functioning. The putt putt course was completely ripped to shreds. The greens were torn up and there were ants all over the course. The "playground" was basically three old coin-operated riding machines like you'd see outside a grocery store -- rusty and clearly unsafe. Calling that a playground for kids is ridiculous and honestly feels like an accident waiting to happen. The heated splash pad? Doesn't exist here. The bounce pad was broken down and clearly not working. The full kitchen/restaurant wasn't open at all. The front office was locked up most of the day. They're also still advertising access to another nearby park, but we were told that promotion is outdated and no longer valid. Yet the ads are still out there bringing people in. Don't rush to push spring break marketing when you literally have nothing working. Yes, we got a refund, which we appreciate -- but that's about the only positive thing to say. It's a shame because we've loved other Yogi Bear Jellystone parks, but the owners of this one clearly don't care about maintaining it. Avoid this place.

Left the Yogibear Eufaula campground last night at midnight after discovering the cabin was…read moreinfested with bedbugs. We spent all day playing and having fun outside and didn't realize the infestation until we came in to sleep. I'm talking up the walls in the bedroom, numerous amounts in the beds/on the pillows. Had to drive three hours back to Dallas with a crying child in the back that was devastated the camping trip was cut short. Management won't return my call, but they did refund our stay. I'm disappointed they won't have an actual conversation with me. My biggest concern now is bringing it into my home. I'm taking all precautions possible but still freaking out stay away! ETA: I called the Xtreme RV resort and spoke to the "CFO" and he said the housekeeper went over to the cabin and didn't see any bedbugs. Basically said they reimbursed us what else do we want them to do. I want to know what they plan to do if my house/car gets infested and he said we could contact his lawyer at that time. I'll put videos in the comments if the bugs. One more update! Someone tried to cancel their reservation for next weekend, concerned about bedbugs after my Facebook post and they refused as the person had "no proof" shady company for sure!
