Unfortunately, our stay was a nightmare from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Check-in took, and I am not exaggerating, THIRTY MINUTES. The woman behind the desk said she "couldn't find" our reservation in the system, but that she did have it in their email (we had reserved and pre-paid for two nights on their website directly earlier that day). She couldn't figure out how to check us in despite all of this, and had to call a couple of people to help her out. The first person didn't answer, and the second finally was able to walk her through her job, but in the meantime quite a line was forming behind us. We had been traveling all day and were super tired, she could have just given us a key and sorted out her software issues later, but we were forced to stand there and wait while she complained about how much she hated computers, and then proceeded to NAME all of the other reservations out loud to me, twice (first and last names!). Why she did this is beyond me, and is probably some sort of privacy violation. When we eventually got into our room, which we were told was a non-smoking one, this was clearly false as it reeked of cigarette smoke and there were even burn holes in the bedspread! At this point we didn't want to bother with switching rooms given how hard it was to get this one, so we just dealt with it. The the next day while we were out, we get a voicemail from them saying that checkout was at 11 and it was now 11:19 and that our stuff was still in the room, asking when we would be checking out. Well, given we had a two-night stay, we would be checking out the next day, obviously. She stared at my reservation for 30 upon checking us in, so should have known that. Or she could have double-checked it before calling me and complaining. So we called them back to clear it up, but come on! After we got back to our room, we found that they had deactivated our keycard DESPITE KNOWING that our reservation was for two days (we had a whole phone conversation about it only hours earlier). We had to go to the front desk, again, and get it reactivated. When we were finally permitted back into our room, the maid had clearly been there, but other than to spy on us, I'm not sure what she did. The bed was made, but the trashes were still full, the towels had not replaced, etc. Not a proper turndown in any way shape or form. At this point we are starting to lose our minds, but still holding our tongue. The real cherry on top of all of this is that at 7:30am the next morning, some random woman, WITHOUT KNOCKING or announcing herself, just burst right into our room waking us up and scared the bejesus out of us!!! Without even attempting to explain who she was or what she was doing there, she just ran away! We called down to the front desk to see what the hell was going on. We were told she was there to "do repairs" and "got the wrong room", although she wasn't wearing any kind of uniform and was not carrying tools. I mean, who does this!? Even housekeeping will at least knock first, or tell you who they are and what they want. Unbelievable!!! We were so glad when it was finally time to go at the proper time and on the proper day, but when we tried to check out there were issues there as well. There was no-one at the front desk for some time, then finally the same woman who checked us in came out and started complaining about how she wasn't even supposed to be on the clock yet but would check us out anyways, and then someone else finally showed up to do their job and relieve her from the process, but at that point we were so fed up that we finally did complain (and if anyone wants to dispute any of this, there is plenty of camera footage to review because there was a spy camera right on the checkout counter, about chest-high, which is insanely creepy and gross!). At no point during any of this did any of the staff or management offer any kind of solutions or options to offset the issues with our stay. The most we got was some half-apology but no offers of a refund or even a partial refund or anything whatsoever. We have actually stayed at this property before and had no issues, but this time it was just a complete disaster. We will NEVER be returning to this rundown hotel that is staffed by grossly incompetent people who couldn't care less about any of the problems they were causing to their guests. I'm not sure who's rating this motel anything higher than a 2... rooms are 1970's. We got non smoking room, and as soon as the we opened the door instant smoke and piss smell. Carpets feel gross on your feet. If it was for a storm we got stuck in, definitely wouldn't have stopped here, especially for $130 a night! read more

The rooks are clean. Like spotless clean, the lady that runs the front desk is verrrry nice. Excellent customer service. Unfortunately that's where the pros end, the rooms are a bit dated, very 90s, the bed....the bed is about as comfortable as my truck seat. I would have been better off sleeping on the carpet. The proximity to the interstate also makes for a semi loud room early in the morning and late at night. Honestly if the bed was comfortable I'd had given this place 3 stars. read more

They have some rooms that are remodeled, and some are not. The first room that they gave us was the old room with the moldy smell. We asked for another one and they gave us a remodel one next to it with $15 more. It was great except they forgot to put a desk lamp in the new room read more

Let me tell you about this place. Our little family has been staying here pretty regularly (OKC-Roland) to visit family since 2020. We've also brought some business to the place (though maybe not as much $$$$ as the people who actually live here.) Now, my husband calls every time we plan a trip, at least a week in advance, and makes a reservation for our room for the number of days we are staying. We're 2 months shy of this being our THIRD year calling, reserving a room for the weekend, at the very least 2-3x/year. We always ask for a room in the back because it's right off a main thoroughfare with semi trucks frequently driving by and we have a 1.5 year old who wakes easily. IYKYK. We didn't get the room we initially reserved. Annoying, but fine. Their WIFI does not work, still annoying, but fine. The SINK doesn't drain, good luck getting a steady temp on the shower, the bed is as hard as a brick (has it REALLY always been this uncomfortable??!), you can barely get the key to unlock the door, and I kid you not a strange man just walked in on my child and I BECAUSE THEY RENTED THE DAMN ROOM OUT TO SOMEONE ELSE. We've never even turned in our keys. We reserved TWO NIGHTS. There's not been one cleaning person to clean this room since we checked in. So not only did they rent the room we're staying in to someone else- they also rented a dirty room to that other guy. This place is a shit show. To top ALL THIS OFF- it looks like they're treating a room for bedbugs 6 rooms down. I'd literally rather pay double at the Cherokee Casino/hotel than to deal with this crap shack again. We have been staying here waiting for home to close in Oklahoma, 490.00 a week. The staff is all super sweet. Rooms are very clean. I have met every maid here and they are so super helpful. Has a nice warm out door seasonal pool, it's not super deep but deep enough to swim in. Parking lot is always clean. Breakfast is some pastries and granola bars , coffee but good for an on the go snack. Laundry facilities are up stairs, they provided soap . We would stay again for sure if needed. read more

We're finally home and the absolute LOW point of our entire trip was the Interstate Inn in Roland, OK. The carpet had multiple stains. The heater/air conditioning rattle all night long. Only one side of the bed had a nightstand so we had to drag a chair over to serve that function. There was no TV schedule so we had to guess what programs could be found where. The WORST issue was the constant presence of multiple flies. Our request for a fly swatter was largely ignored, with the clerk saying "it happens because the doors are kept open by the cleaning staff". Not buying that excuse. Even an old-fashioned screen door would be an upgrade. No coffee in the room, even though there was a coffee pot and NO breakfast (how odd, most hotels these days offer a quick breakfast before you hit the road for the day). The ratings on this place are hugely inflated! read more

Comfortable, clean rooms. Not noisy even though close to traffic and truck stops. Reasonable price, lower than others around there. Price was exactly what was quoted with nothing extra added on. No coffee in the room and not much for breakfast, but just down the road from the Four Star Diner. We ate there three times in two days. Good food, good service, and good prices. My stay was good. The room was comfortable. It was peaceful and while I could see the traffic on the road I could not hear it. The room had two queen beds, a table with two chairs and a small refrigerator that was adequate for our cold food. I had my two dogs with me and they had a small grassy area behind the motel to do their business. I would love to stay here again if I should get the opportunity one day. read more

Found this place on hotels.com and have to say it is a hidden gem. The rooms were immaculate. Last chain hotel had nothing on this place. There was a casino nearby and gas and food. Was headed west to visit family and so made a note to keep this place for the trip back. read more

This place is as immaculate as a motel can get! My husband and I are OTR truck drivers, and we stay in many motels, and the Interstate Inn is on our list of go to's now. It's quiet. The grounds are very clean, no trash strewn about. The rooms are actual cleaned! Even surfaces that are usually looked over by the motel chains. Like the top of the microwave, top of the fridge, even the light switches! We clean the motel rooms before we bring anything in with a disinfectant and paper towels. Usually we get nasty surfaces that we will touch or put our things on that the maids dont even wipe down, we were surprise that it wasn't the case here. Everything was clean! The only draw back, if you will, is there is carpet and the bath towels are more like over sized hand towels, but you do get 4 towels and plenty of hand and wash clothes. If you have a dog, it's 10.00 a night. And make sure you keep your dog on a leash, or you will be asked to leave. No unleashed dogs on the property. As owners of 2 small dogs, we appreciate this. The internet is great! Across the street at the truck stop, Verizon is non existent, and that's what brought us to the Interstate Inn. We're glad we went! Will be back! The 2 stars I did give, were for the front desk lady. She was sweet and helpful and the office was clean.but one I saw the room and the surrounding.. there was no way I felt safe staying there. Small pool which was also Outside where everyone driving by on the main road can see you and your kids. Smelled old and weird. Very old. Sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot next to the room I was assigned. Some people living there and some were not. We only stayed her for an hour! My son started screaming that bugs were on him. Bed bugs were coming out of the pillows! We stayed in room 241. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Great little "mom and pop" place. Right off the I40. Rooms were bigger than most, and. It crowded with furniture. Called late(10pm) and was able to reserve a room. Pet friendly. We were allowed to have our German Shepard in the room it's us for a minimal pet fee. Pet fee and one night was only $66. It's located by several fast food joints and gas stations which makes it great for people road tripping across the country. I would stay here again. read more

Simple, no frills, cheap, well located and with a lovely older lady as manager who is friendly, helpful and a pleasure to talk to. The breakfast is bare bones but you are a stones throw from a McDonalds and 3 minutes from a diner. The Cherokee Casino is also within minutes which has very reasonable food and full table gambling if that is your desire. A wide variety of slots are available for the slot addicts. Overall for the very cheap price it is well worth it. They obviously have cleaned up the place from the one review with bed bugs as it was clearly spotlessly clean. American Owned and managed! Staff was extremely pleasant. We have rented two times, the rooms are clean with a very well lit parking lot that feels safe. They are 1.5 the size of Motel 6 rooms but cleaner than any other motel we have stayed in. No scary hairs in the bathrooms! They do not have coffee pots but McDonald's is within walking distance. If our travels take is along I-40 again we will purpose to stop here! read more

Unacceptable treatment of guests! I was on the phone with my mother when I heard a knock on the door. She took the phone with her to answer it, and I could hear the conversation that took place. A woman told her she had only paid for one night and that she needed to come and pay for tonight if she was going to stay. My mother told her she had requested a two-night stay, and the woman told her she'd only paid for one and to pay for the additional night My mother then asked if she needed to do that now or could she come later, around 5pm. The woman told her that was fine and left. About ten minutes later, there was another knock on the door. My mother again told me to hold on and answered the door. A gentlemen introduced himself as the owner and told her she needed to settle her bill now. She told him yes, she was going to do it on her way to dinner at 5, and that the women she spoke to previously said that was fine. The man said, "no, she didn't." My mother said, sir, yes she did. He said that's not our policy and she didn't say that. My mother then stated again that she did, but if she needed to come down and pay at that moment, she would. He continued to interrupt her as she was trying to explain the situation and then told her to calm down and to be nice and he'd be nice. The conversation ended with my mother telling him she'd be down to pay right then. That someone would speak to a guest in that way is inexcusable. That an owner would argue that an employee did not in fact say something when he wasn't even a party to the conversation is unprofessional at best. While I don't expect four-star treatment from discount motels, common decency should be a given. Shame on him. read more
