WARNING: We registered and swiftly left 5 mins later. Absolutely disgusting, filthy, and nasty. Wouldn't leave my dog there.

The air conditioning in the room was loud every time it came on. Otherwise accommodations were pleasant and the room was quiet. They serve a typical free hotel breakfast nothing exciting, but very convenient. We would stay again, next time we are in town

Extremely Disappointed - Unsafe Room Conditions & Poor Management…read moreWe stayed at Holiday Inn Express Van Buren-Ft Smith Area in July 2025, and it was an incredibly frustrating experience. We booked two rooms, but one had no working air conditioning, with 97° weather outside and even hotter inside, it was completely uninhabitable. We had an infant with us, and when we asked for help at the front desk, we were told no other rooms were available. So, our entire group was forced to squeeze into one room for the night. To make things worse, we checked in just before 2:00 a.m., and housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:15 a.m. because the front desk clerk checked us out 5 minutes after we arrived. The noise woke everyone, including our baby, after a long night of travel. I attempted to resolve this with hotel management. The front desk initially told us the manager would call us, but that call never came. When I called the corporate office myself, the manager argued with me and then hung up. Completely unprofessional. I've now had to dispute the charges with my credit card company because the hotel charged me for both rooms, including the one we could not use. Based on the poor service, unsafe conditions, and total lack of follow-up, I would not have anyone stay here! I expected better from Holiday Inn Express and IHG. I do not recommend this location. After reading several other reviews looks to be the MO for this location! RIP OFF!

Pros - every person we interacted with who worked there was outstanding!…read more The room was clean and maintained. We felt safe and the parking lot is well lit so I wasn't too worried about the car. Was easy to access and is exactly what you need for a spot to sleep while on a road trip. Cons - felt a little dated and the curtains don't sit close enough to the wall to block the light.

Unfortunately, our stay was a nightmare from the moment we arrived until the moment we left…read more Check-in took, and I am not exaggerating, THIRTY MINUTES. The woman behind the desk said she "couldn't find" our reservation in the system, but that she did have it in their email (we had reserved and pre-paid for two nights on their website directly earlier that day). She couldn't figure out how to check us in despite all of this, and had to call a couple of people to help her out. The first person didn't answer, and the second finally was able to walk her through her job, but in the meantime quite a line was forming behind us. We had been traveling all day and were super tired, she could have just given us a key and sorted out her software issues later, but we were forced to stand there and wait while she complained about how much she hated computers, and then proceeded to NAME all of the other reservations out loud to me, twice (first and last names!). Why she did this is beyond me, and is probably some sort of privacy violation. When we eventually got into our room, which we were told was a non-smoking one, this was clearly false as it reeked of cigarette smoke and there were even burn holes in the bedspread! At this point we didn't want to bother with switching rooms given how hard it was to get this one, so we just dealt with it. The the next day while we were out, we get a voicemail from them saying that checkout was at 11 and it was now 11:19 and that our stuff was still in the room, asking when we would be checking out. Well, given we had a two-night stay, we would be checking out the next day, obviously. She stared at my reservation for 30 upon checking us in, so should have known that. Or she could have double-checked it before calling me and complaining. So we called them back to clear it up, but come on! After we got back to our room, we found that they had deactivated our keycard DESPITE KNOWING that our reservation was for two days (we had a whole phone conversation about it only hours earlier). We had to go to the front desk, again, and get it reactivated. When we were finally permitted back into our room, the maid had clearly been there, but other than to spy on us, I'm not sure what she did. The bed was made, but the trashes were still full, the towels had not replaced, etc. Not a proper turndown in any way shape or form. At this point we are starting to lose our minds, but still holding our tongue. The real cherry on top of all of this is that at 7:30am the next morning, some random woman, WITHOUT KNOCKING or announcing herself, just burst right into our room waking us up and scared the bejesus out of us!!! Without even attempting to explain who she was or what she was doing there, she just ran away! We called down to the front desk to see what the hell was going on. We were told she was there to "do repairs" and "got the wrong room", although she wasn't wearing any kind of uniform and was not carrying tools. I mean, who does this!? Even housekeeping will at least knock first, or tell you who they are and what they want. Unbelievable!!! We were so glad when it was finally time to go at the proper time and on the proper day, but when we tried to check out there were issues there as well. There was no-one at the front desk for some time, then finally the same woman who checked us in came out and started complaining about how she wasn't even supposed to be on the clock yet but would check us out anyways, and then someone else finally showed up to do their job and relieve her from the process, but at that point we were so fed up that we finally did complain (and if anyone wants to dispute any of this, there is plenty of camera footage to review because there was a spy camera right on the checkout counter, about chest-high, which is insanely creepy and gross!). At no point during any of this did any of the staff or management offer any kind of solutions or options to offset the issues with our stay. The most we got was some half-apology but no offers of a refund or even a partial refund or anything whatsoever. We have actually stayed at this property before and had no issues, but this time it was just a complete disaster. We will NEVER be returning to this rundown hotel that is staffed by grossly incompetent people who couldn't care less about any of the problems they were causing to their guests. Travelers beware, avoid at all costs!

A considerable amount of parking all around the property, to include a large overflow area directly across the street from TGI Fridays. A very clean property overall, with room comforts that guaranteed a good night sleep. Excellent customer service (thank you, Jasmin), along with even better communication via their texting correspondence from the front desk. Breakfast was actually pretty good. A standard Hampton Inn offering that was just right. I noticed amenities such as a hot tub below my 3rd floor room, yet I didn't get the opportunity to use them during my stay. One plus that I noticed within the room was that of a long chase connected to the couch (very comfortable & clean). I don't see that feature as often in Hampton Inn properties. I'm definitely returning to this property when traveling through NW Arkansas. Highly recommend staying here!

They exchanged my room then in the morning got a phone call from the front desk stating that they were turning the water off and I had 10 minutes to take a shower started running the water and the water shut off. Doesn't look like they've ever been cleaned the couch in my room didn't wanna sit on because it was filthy. Stay away from this hotel.

Online they have a great reputation, and I am proud to be the yelper that added them to yelp and 1st to review. This is a very well kept motel. It's one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. The sheets and comforter smell like tide essentials and everything is in its place and in good working condition. Unlike many hotels that keep relaxing their tubes this motel has a like new tube/shower, which is spic and span. The hotel uses at least costco grade towels and as mentioned its tidy as can be. The parking spaces I noticed were extra wide, we drove a box truck here. Many of us city slickers wouldn't pay much attention to the heater, especially since everywhere you go there is a heater. But with this January 2018 freeze we are experiencing it is only 3-11 degrees in Oklahoma and Tennesse. With that said last night it started showing so we stopped in Tennessee at a Rodeway Inn, Holly Molly was it cold, the heater tried to do its job, but must have retired in the 1980s. Thank goodness we had movers pads and we layered 3 on top of the comforter just to catch our teeth from rattling. Prior to having the wife step out of the truck I hurried to the room to turn on the heater, thank god, this is a trully well kept hotel motel. The heater is atleast from this century, and to my surprise the bathroom also has a heater, cranked them both on, and in minutes it was toasty and comfortable. If you read my review in its entirety I thank you, i hope you have as nice an experience as we are.
