Hands down the best experience we've had with a tradesperson. We had 4 companies come out to do a…read morequote for a repair to our cracked shower pan, and Radek was the most straightforward, reliable and was able to do all the work himself (other companies were only able to do the demo/repair or tiling, but not both, and few companies would touch the removal and reinstall of our existing glass shower doors, which would of resulted in us having to hire multiple people for the 1 job). He ended up building a new tiled shower pan to replace our damaged plastic one (from a previously improperly done job). He was honest and upfront about potential cost, complications, and time it would take to do the job, and he adhered to all( which we understand isn't easy to do in the trades). I will recommend him to anyone needing work, and we will definitely use him in the future. I can't say enough about Radek and his professionalism.

Experience with Amro Construction…read more We contracted Amro Construction late in July about our need for some structural upgrades to the main entrance deckway and complete renovations of the two main floor bathrooms. We received their proposal in mid-August and after clarifying some details, work began two weeks later. Amro did a very solid job of scheduling the various outside resources they needed to use. The support trades they enlisted: vinyl decking installer, tile installer, electricians, painters, insulators and plumbers displayed the same work ethic and service orientation that the business partners do. Amro also recommended to us a number of suppliers: cabinet makers, flooring and tile suppliers that they had worked with successfully in the recent past and then looked after ordering and coordination of deliveries. The dedication, attention to detail and follow-up by the lead hand they assigned to our job was critical to Amro successfully delivering the kind of results they offered and we needed. The final phase of the work to be completed, the main ensuite bathroom, was available for use on November 11, ten weeks after work began. When Amro's final invoice arrived four weeks after job completion, there were no surprises. The invoice detailed the several scope adjustments that had been encountered, discussed and authorized in advance. Nothing was billed that we had not previously agreed to. We found the Amro team extremely service-oriented and personable, very diligent in follow-up exhibiting a very high work ethic. We had a general vision of how we wanted the bathrooms to look after renovation but not hard details. Amro's team, with their extensive experience, was able to suggest alternatives for our consideration and then we decided which way to proceed. We are very pleased with the outcome. I hired Ivo to: repair, waterproof and install tiles on the outside uncovered deck. I met his demand by paying $2,000. for materials plus $200. for the step. Ivo would avoid answering my questions as to how the deck would be finished. Ivo did no work, hired workers who had NO instructions to repair rot, would tile over rot, and applied NO waterproof membrane. Untreated wood was used to replace 2" x 8" joists and build a 10" step, should be 7 1/2". I received NO reply to my emails nor has Ivo returned to correct and complete this project. The deck required inspection for rot, be removed and repaired; waterproofing, and tiled. These were not done.
