Your friendliness was gone the minute you screwed up! I'm thankful I didn't bring my child to you. You said a gallon of medicine wouldn't numb me, other surgeons barely used any!!!! I'm not recovering and it's been almost 3 months from a simple tooth extraction! You're unfit and at the rate we are going I'll be seeing you in court!

From the start the staff was amazing. They got in contact with me almost immediately after inquiring about their services. They also did all the tedious work of obtaining my medical history from my dentist. For my consultation we reviewed my X-rays and went over cost based on my insurance. I also met Dr. Raja who is probably the coolest oral surgeon I've ever met. He is so friendly and informative. I felt like I've known him for forever! As a hypochondriac I love having medical staff that makes me feel like family. All my questions were answered and Dr. Raja's confidence gave me a lot of reassurance. My surgery went well. Apparently it lasted like 20-30 mins....felt like 5 minutes. All my medications were sent the day before. Instructions were very clear and straight forward and my follow up appointment was set up prior to my surgery as well. As for the office space, it's very modern and clean. They have some water and coffee in their waiting room and they use essential oils to make the place smell nice. 10/10 recommend.

My family and I have been patients here for just over a year, and we have generally had really good…read moreservice here. My wife just underwent extensive dental procedures and we were pleased enough to spend several thousand dollars at this clinic. However, on my most recent visit, an extremely disturbing and inexcusable practice was witnessed and directly affected me, as the patient. While waiting in the lobby to be called back for my cleaning, my dental hygienist, I don't recall her name, but she speaks with a some-what central European accent, walked out into the lobby area accompanying her prior patient. She then called my name, and walked over to the lobby computer to check that my name was correct. She used the keyboard and mouse at the lobby computer. She greeted me and escorted me to the patient cleaning room. When we arrived in the dental exam/cleaning room, she began to ask me a series of questions, typed and used the mouse on the cleaning room computer, then checked my blood pressure. She then handed me safety glasses, placed the protection bid around my neck, and began to handle the tools from under the plastic that were to be placed or used in my mouth. I immediately stopped her and stated, you have had those gloves on this entire time. Aren't you going to change your gloves?! She then said no, this room is clean. I then mentioned to her that I watched her walk out with her prior patient, wearing the same gloves, check the lobby computer wearing the same gloves, and started preparing and touching everything in the room, including the tools that would be placed in my mouth, all while wearing the same gloves. She then started making some rambling excuses, like no, no, I cleaned this room, and you don't have to worry. After much debate, she finally stated "fine I'll just change them." I said what about the tools? She said "what?!" I then said, this place has certainly changed in hygiene and cleanliness since my family first started coming here a year ago, and she replied, "maybe it is time for you to find somewhere else to go!" Needless to say, I was shocked, but she wasn't wrong. So I immediately got up from the chair, and told her she is exactly correct and I'll let her Manager know that she told me to go somewhere else. She then started laughing loudly, it was so strange, but disturbing at the same time. I reported this interaction with the front desk staff. They were very professional and sympathetic but unfortunately, the Manager was not in this particular day, and I was told that the Manager would call me the next day. It has been more than 3 weeks at the time of this posting, and I haven't had any contact from anyone at the clinic. While I find this practice to be extremely disgusting, what I find even more appalling is the hygienist's decision to debate a glove change with a patient, to out-loud laugh at me when I displayed my concerns and frustrations, and this clinic's lack of attention or concern to an extremely serious patient safety matter that can lead to the spread of bacterial or viral infections. It was clear that she had worn the same gloves with her prior patient and was attempting to use those same gloves with me. Disgusting! So now, and since I don't know what they have done to address this violation of the required workplace and patient safety standards, I am moving forward with notifications to OHSA and the state and local health department's oral health program. I hope in the meantime, no one gets Herpes or Meningitis from this place!

I had a very disappointing experience with Stone Springs Family Dentistry in Aldie…read more I went in for two crowns, and the dentist, Dr. Grossman, was very rough during the procedures. It made what should have been a routine experience unnecessarily uncomfortable and stressful. On top of that, I was referred out for a root canal to an out-of-network specialist without that being clearly communicated to me. This ended up costing me significantly more than expected. Because of this referral, I quickly exhausted my insurance benefits and was left paying much higher out-of-pocket costs. To make matters worse, when I raised concerns about this, the office was not willing to take responsibility or work toward a resolution. I was still charged an additional $647, which they would not waive despite the circumstances. Overall, this experience was frustrating both from a care standpoint and a financial transparency standpoint. I would strongly encourage others to ask detailed questions about referrals and insurance coverage before proceeding here.

This review reflects my personal experience only, but I feel it's important to share. I went in for…read morea simple routine cleaning with no pain or symptoms. I expected a normal appointment, but I was told I needed deep cleaning, four fillings, and even molar extractions. At checkout, I was suddenly informed that the practice was out-of-network, even though the person who booked my appointment had checked my insurance. This should have been disclosed upfront. I cancelled future appointments because of this. A couple weeks later I felt food getting stuck in one tooth, so I asked for my exam notes and X-rays so I could see an in-network provider. I only received the X-rays -- no clinical exam notes -- which meant I couldn't take that information to another dentist. This made me feel stuck and forced to return. On November 12, I went back for what I believed were simple fillings that I was quoted around $260 for when making an appointment. After I was already numbed and lying in the dental chair under anesthesia, the dentist told me out of nowhere that I now "needed a crown" instead. The billing staff then told me the cost would be around $1,900. I was shocked and confused, especially because I could barely speak clearly due to the anesthesia. When I questioned it, instead of explaining anything medically, I was repeatedly told about payment plans. I sent the billing staff back THREE separate times asking for clarification, but each time I felt more and more pressured. At one point, I was told that because the holidays were coming, the office would be closed for two weeks -- and if I didn't get the crown right now, I might end up with an emergency. Hearing that while numb, unable to fully process, and already anxious made me feel scared and trapped. I did not feel like I was given a real choice in that moment. I ultimately agreed because I was frightened and overwhelmed, not because I was comfortable with the treatment plan. Only after getting off the chair did I notice more concerning things -- the discount I was told about was not honored, the charges were confusing, and none of the explanations made sense. I left the office feeling taken advantage of during a time when I was vulnerable and unable to advocate for myself fully. No patient should ever feel pressured into a costly procedure while under anesthesia. I hope this office truly reevaluates how they communicate, disclose costs, and treat patients who simply want honest information and options.

I had a change in insurance plan, even though the payor remained the same. I brought a copy of the insurance card with me and notified the front desk about my new insurance and asked if they are in-network. They told me they accepted it and everything was fine. Luckily, I only had a basic cleaning and no other services. A few months later I received a bill from the office for about $200-$300 for that visit and when I asked them about it, they told me my insurance is out of network with them and that they told me "they accept the insurance," not that they are in-network with it and the out of network cost is around $200-$300 for that cleaning and there was nothing they could do about it since they already told me "they accept the insurance and I should have known the difference between accepting an insurance versus being in-network. That's quite deceitful. I've been a patient at other dental offices and medical practices and when I present my insurance card, they will honestly let me know if it's in network or not and they don't practice clandestine acts like this office. I'd rather they tell me upfront that it's not in-network and let me know that there would be costs associated with being out of network instead of saying "we accept this insurance." My advice is to not trust this office even if they tell you it's in network because it might not be true and double check with your insurance. FYI, they also use paper charts which is archaic in the setting of current medical EHR technology. Consider all the other dental clinics in the Aldie area, they are much better and wished I had left this one sooner.

When I asked about it, I was told it wasn't anything to worry about -- but after doing some research, I felt otherwise.
