My wife was referred over by her normal dentist, as it was unclear which tooth was the source of pain. They took her in same day , and performed a root canal. My wife had recently had back surgery and getting comfortable laying back as needed (it was a front tooth) was going to be a challenge. the Staff was so accommodating and cheerful, getting her a blanket and a lumbar pillow , and gently placing it in position. When I came in for my appointment I was told that I had to pay almost $500.00 in estimated fees after payments from my insurance company before I could be seen. When I ask why I need to pay upfront when I have not been seen, the receptionist responded, "That is our policy." I ask for an itemized breakdown of the costs to have an understanding of the costs, the office manager there named Cami became very rude to me and told me she canceled my appointment and told me I will not be seen there. I can tell she was very frustrated by my request to see the itemized breakdown and had a very nasty attitude. I felt harassed there enduring a very bad experience. Being in severe pain Cami was only one with any compassion and able to get me in next day. Dr. Zuaitar did good work, but was rushing and pinching my lip with a tool. Kept saying almost done. Afterwards looked at my lip and said get some Anbesol. He is negligent by rushing and pinching my lip with dental tool despite my protests. Then pushed out of chair to Bianca, looking cold faced through me taking my money. I said thank you have a good day, got in my car and cried. Lip is still bruised. When I was told by my primary dentist that I needed a root canal under my crown, I was horrified. From a young age, I have always been anxious when it comes to going to the dentist. When I was a child, I would tell the dentist I had to use the restroom and then lock myself in the bathroom. My mother would always bring one of my siblings to my appointments, just in case they needed to jump into the chair and take my place. I put off getting the root canal done until I could no longer take the pain. Upon entering Dr. Pichardo's office I was impressed. The professional décor was nice. The staff that greeted me were equally as nice. The office atmosphere was both calm and relaxing. When it was my time to see Dr. Pichardo, I explained my anxiety about getting the procedure done. They reassured me that everything would be fine - and they were right! The procedure did not take long at all, and best of all I felt no pain. No pain during or even after the work was done. I was surprised how easy it was. I can't believe I waited so long to get it done. All the pain I could have avoided if I just made the appointment sooner. Dr Pichardo's office called me the next day to see how I was doing. I told them great! I had not experienced any pain, even when the numbness wore off. I was able to go right back to work after the procedure. It was no different than any normal, routine dental appointment. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Pichardo to anyone who needs to get a root canal done. It was recommended that I receive a root canal retreatment 24 years after the initial root canal. Met with Dr. Pichardo who walked me through my options. I decided to do the retreatment. I was very nervous day of and Dr. Pichardo treated me so well. Highly compassionate when it came to numbing my tooth, he had a great technique where I didn't feel a thing! Once numbed, I was good to go. Drilling noises weren't bad, bring headphones if you like. He and staff fixed me up within the hour, and I was out the door with a goodie bag in hand. I first want to say that I have a medical condition that doesn't allow me to open my mouth very wide. Dr Pichardo was amazing! I can't stress that enough. I've heard horror stories about people getting root canals and even with my medical condition the procedure was not bad at all!! I've had 2 root canals so far snd wouldn't hesitate for a second to go back to him. The entire office is so friendly and helpful. You almost feel like you're at a spa. See an oral surgeon (medical doctor)first that will determine if root canal treatment is feasible, specifically for a re-treat on a root canal performed over a decade ago. My tooth was still infected after the retreat, I developed a gum fistula about a week and a half after treatment. I didn't notice the bump on my gum at first until I looked at my gum; the infection became bad enough that within 3weeks post treatment I went to the emergency room, I could not move my head or neck and I was afraid the infection was spreading. I didn't actually make the connection to the bump next to the molar as being an infection related to the molar because I'd never had this happen before. I went back to Mr. Parchardo after going to the emergency room, told him my symptoms and I didn't know what to do as I was going on vacation in a few days. He said nothing about the emergency room visit and offered more antibiotics and acknowledged the fistula on my gum. That was it. I wound up having the tooth removed about two weeks later after having to find an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon said the tooth was "terribly infected." My guess is that the root canal should not have been done, however if endodonists told patients an infected tooth is beyond a retreat and needs to be pulled, this would cut significantly into their income. This is truely the first time I've ever dealt with a dentist that did not see my health and well-being as being important, but rather the money. I absolutely do not recommend. read more

Yesterday was the last day before the Christmas break, and had to see my dentist for tooth pain. He sent me to Dr. Pichardo and their wonderful staff for a Root Canal. They took me immediately, and from the time of my dentist visit (10:30 AM) to the time I walked out with the root canal done, was 2 hours, and that included a 20 minute drive between offices and filing out paperwork. Afterward I took the tylenol and ibuprofen as directed but had no need for any more. No pain and all is back to normal with my teeth and my life. Excellent staff and great work! read more

Beware of your wallet! The office manager is not well versed enough in her job skills to read a patient's Delta Dental benefits and is charge happy with a patient's credit card even when asked not to swipe it until determining said benefits. Then when confronted with proof of benefits that office manager becomes very defensive and deflects responsibility for their mistake back onto the patient. At the end of the day, integrity is very important in the medical community as well as their staff and my family members will never return. read more

My Dentist referred me to another Endodontist as I needed a root canal through an existing molar crown. That one did not have very good reviews so I found Solis through Yelp and other rating sites. They scheduled me the next day as I was having tooth pain. They did a fantastic job, absolutely no pain (except for a pinch for the local), and explained everything they were doing along the way (at my request). I took the OTC Tylenol and Ibuprofen as directed which did a great job a controlling the pain. It's now been about one month since the procedure and I had recovered fully with no complications. I have been having unexplained facial pain, and before going to an ENT, my dentist wanted to make certain it wasn't an issue that needed the attention of an endodontist. I've had just one cavity in my life, but I was having hard-to-pinpoint pain near the location of that one tooth that was filled back in my teen years. I've never been to a root canal doc, having been genetically blessed with decent teeth. I was certain that just walking in the door, I would be told I needed a root canal and crown! Maybe I'm just cynical, but I had some very real fears going in. I felt immediately at ease in his waiting room, which is exceptionally relaxing, despite the faint sounds of drilling in the background. The receptionist was kind, bright, and understanding of my anxiety over this first-time visit. The employee who took my x-rays was kind and understanding of my fears. Dr. Pichardo read my x-rays and did some tests on my teeth before telling me I DID NOT NEED A ROOT CANAL. Say what?!? I've never heard of anyone going to root canal doctor and being told that they did NOT need one. Woohoo! Five stars for honesty, integrity and for being so kind and understanding. I hope I never need your services (no offense!) but if I have friends or family members who do require root canal therapy, I'll surely send them your way. read more

I had a great experience here. Unfortunately, I have constant teeth problems so I am well versed in root canals and crowns. I came in for a root canal. The office is very nice and very clean. The staff are very professional and friendly. Dr. Pichardo did an excellent job in keeping me comfortable and at ease when doing the root canal. He did a fabulous job and I did not feel anything which was even better! I needed an emergency root canal completed and I had made an appointment at 9:00am for 12:30pm. Taking the rest of the day off to drive from Sterling to Gainesville (where I do not live). The receptionist (Eden) was very helpful with everything and the Doctor was very nice. However, he was unaware that this was supposed to be scheduled as a procedure and not a consult. He continued to offer novocaine like he planned to do the procedure. He recommended a CT and when I asked how long that takes to have the results back he said "20 seconds. We do that in house. Then we can decide what procedure to do" After they completed the CT the other receptionist said "okay, well we will call you later on to schedule an appointment for your procedure". I am obviously in shock and bothered by what I am hearing as I am in severe pain and scheduled to have this procedure done at 12:30 today. As I am announcing how upset I am (in tears due to pain and frustration) she is being extremely disrespectful. Raises her voice. Very clearly typing something terrible about me on her computer and said "okay well then you can go free of charge" and that was that. Still no procedure or apology for their confusion or mess up. I am extremely disappointed in this place and I do not recommend. read more

I was offered two types of appointments. Consult or consult and procedure. I chose the consult and procedure. I waited over an hour past my appointment time before the doctor came into the room. We talked about what needed to be done he looked or the X-ray and we agreed to go forward when his assistant pulled him from the room. When he returned he explained that I should come back when he could dedicate more time to the procedure. At that time he had three patients in rooms and two in the waiting room and was over an hour behind. When checking out the receptionist agreed she had scheduled me for a consult and procedure. I called my insurance make sure they didn't pay for my wasted appointment only to find out they already been billed for the appointment and an X-ray which was never taken. My dentist had sent over their X-ray which the assistant had commented was fine because it had been taken in the last couple of weeks. I now need to find an honest doctor to do the root canal and don't need this claim that accomplished nothing on my insurance. My insurance advised me to call the doctor and explain every before filing a complaint which I did and they agreed to remove the X-ray charge but are still charging for the consult. Save your time and money. Go somewhere else. read more
