We were not aligned in what was supposed to be done, what we had discussed and what it was finally done. I strongly advise to get everything in writing and be present at the job site. The equipment at the job site (residential) was an overkill for the size of the job (three branches) and created damages in my lawn due heavy machinery used (Deep tire tracks) and damages to driveway asphalt (driveway not supporting large heavy truck with a chipper). Finally, he never even offered to remedy the situation and he just thanked for the feedback!!!!

Our 8 year old flagstone walk and portico needed mortar repair. We were aghast at the estimates we…read morereceived from two other Frederick masonry contractors who inflated the scope of work to an unnecessary degree along with outrageous cost estimates. Then we called C&G Masonry who promptly returned our call and sent us a reality-based estimate for repairing our flagstone walk. The crew showed up on time and skillfully completed the work. Our walk and portico look fantastic. C&G Masonry is a reliable and honest company with professional masonry workers who are also a pleasure to work with. They are a great resource for homeowners! I would give them six stars if possible.

MWM Restoration was recommended as a potential vendor by my insurance company when I had a hail…read moredamage claim for my home's roof. After checking out a couple of options, they seemed like the best and easiest solution. They were very fast with scheduling, and their project manager was very communicative over text messages about the process from start to finish, which I appreciate. The only two points I would raise that made it less than five-star service are: - I had asked them to check out a problem area of trim/fascia/soffit and let me know what could be done about it; the PM confirmed they would but then I didn't hear anything back about it and the crew cleaned up and left without a word. - While the crew did an immaculate job cleaning up my driveway and front yard area, they did a very poor job cleaning up my back deck. I swept it the next day and found about a dozen nails and staples that my children could have been injured on.

While insurance said we could choose someone else for the work, we felt comfortable with MWM right from the start. Our project manager, Mo, did a great job of explaining the process and kept us informed at each step. He tried to keep the scope and timeline of work reasonable, but always let us know when something might or wasn't going to plan (which happened a couple of times). The crew made pretty quick work of the remediation/demolition and the rebuild. The timeline estimates were always realistic and pretty close to actual. The only thing that maybe could have been better was the cleaning crew. They did the big things (vacuum, mopping, etc) but afterward we noticed a lot of dust that should have been removed. Minor in the big picture.

We didn't request this at all, and if they had intended to do it, they did not consult with us first but they simply did it. No company that we've ever contracted with ever simply unilaterally started doing things on their own without first notifying the homeowner of what they were going to do before they did it even if there were a contract or anything the homeowner was consulted first of what was going to be done first before the work started. The workers just literally took it on it on themselves, as if they live here , and start chopping ...extremely disappointed and extremely disturbing. Upon complaining to the manager, the manager came out to our home , very belligerent, refused to listen and said it was nothing wrong. We asked him to leave our property. He would not and we had to called law-enforcement to have him removed from my property . We do not want anything further to do with this company and we cancelled our contract forthwith .

They said they charge $75 per person per hour and, depending on the size of our driveway, it could take 4-5 persons 4-5 hours. They came the next day with 2 men and a plow. They finished the job in exactly an hour. We got an invoice 3 days later for $450, with no explanation how that figure was arrived at. When I called, I was told it included travel time. I said their company is a half hour from our house so that made no sense. I asked that the charge be reconsidered. When I called again, I was told they have a 6 hour minimum ($75/hr for 6 hours is $450) for any job. No minimum had been mentioned before. I asked for a manager to call me but have heard nothing. They did good work but we won't use them again.
