Such a great find! Pizza was so good and love supporting local small business. Bonus is that it is right next to pipeline so grab a pizza and watch the surf will definitely be coming back!

Amazing pizza, had trouble finding it but it is located at Sunset Beach Neighborhood park across from the school. Worth driving out there.

He…read moreis out in Kahuku, but I got a taste of his food when he traveled out to Kailua Elementary during our Fun Run. If you follow me, then you know about my search for the best fried chicken I can get my hands on. Well, Chef Bells definitely ranks high in my list! The fried chicken is done fresh. You can watch him doing the fry-up while you wait. The seasoning is just right. The outside is crisp & inside is juicy. It seriously so good! The Mac n Cheese is EXACTLY what I look for. Cheese, bacon, and bread crumbs. There is cheese all the way through - not just sitting on top. The noodles were soft, not rubbery. I'm telling you, you HAVE to try it! DELICIOUS! The pricing was a la carte. It was $3 for each piece of chicken and $3 per scoop of Mac n Cheese. Was it worth it? YES! He definitely has a new fan in me!

I would go with the fried chicken (so freaking delicious), along with their rice with special seasoning (can't remember the formal name), as well as the cornbread. OK, and can I just say a word about the chicken? OMG. The chicken. Fried perfectly so the skin is just right and the chicken is so dang juicy. They set up I think on Tuesdays but if you ever see their tent out, you have to go more than once because the food is crazy good and I kind of want them to open their own restaurant here in Kahuku . lol.

Can't speak for the sides, but the chicken itself was seasoned perfectly. Not overly salty which I really love. Waited in line for a little bit and maybe about 30 minutes our chicken was done. Ordered just a whole chicken to try and this was my first time having it. The seasoning is light and the chicken is juicy. I would say this actually tasted pretty alright. But I think I like mine slightly saltier or seasoned more. But overall if you ever see this off the road you should stop by and try it out.

Definitely worth stopping in at Seven Brothers Restaurant and or the bakery as well. Back to Mikes, You'll walk up and spot signage plus the yellow signature bus shack. I'd seen Mikes Huli Chicken on an episode of Diners Drive Ins and Dives and Guy said "the skin is as crispy as it gets next to being fried." That never left my memory. This being my next visit since seeing that episode, I had to try it. What did I order? - Mikes Huli Chicken Plate $17: 4/5 Stars - Chicken is a nice half chicken portion, perfectly juicy, nicely slight char taste. Crispy skin? Unfortunately no. - The Mac salad is nice. - Generous serving of rice *** Mikes Huli sauce is delicious! Be sure to find the self serve bottle and the to go sauce cups and get you some extra. You'll walk up and place your order at the window, pay, cash or card, then find yourself a seat. The cashier was simple and quick to the point. No small talk. The seating area within mikes truck is a decent size accommodating roughly 15 to 20 people. Outside, there additional tables as well. Overall, I'd say if you're in the area, give it a try, it will neither blow your socks off nor disappoint. Mikes is a solid Huli Chicken plate. It simply delivers satisfying meal.

By now, anyone who is a fan knows their food so rather than another review, some tips for securing that last taste. 1. They are in a cellular dead zone. I also love grabbing food here and taking it down the street to eat at the beach. It's one of those meals that feels even better when you're eating it by the water.
