I'd either Uber/Lyft into the city or hop on the blue line and go into the city. CTA has its ups and downs. One station is no different really than another metro location. Maybe the further you are from the city you can expect more bus spots and individual car parking spots. This is one of those instances! Physically this is a great station. As far as CTA goes on scheduling and routes that's not the point of this review. Don't put ketchup on your Chicago style hot dog.

There's a Starbucks nearby too if you have time to grab something. Depending on when you go, there's usually plenty of parking. The platform does require going up a lot of stairs so be prepared for that little jog. There is an old elevator that you could use but I can't guarantee if it always works or isn't dirty. Platform signs and announcements are clear and easy to understand. And from there you just hop on your correct train, show the conductor your ticket and enjoy the ride!

Among these is there's not much of an overhang to protect from elements. This station also lacks charm and seems like it was made cheap, as evidenced by not much of an overhang. As with many of the stations, the location is the best thing about it. It serves the Brown Line. This is one of the best ways to get to the cool neighborhood known as Ravenswood. A lot of bars and restaurants are located just around here. Margie's Candies is a popular place for ice cream in summer. There's also Glenn's Diner and Wolcott Tap. A lot of other places not far. There's a lot of busses to hop on from here. Good place to get off at. It's just bad to get on. There's also usually delays and long waits for trains.

Better known as IIT, this is a busier stop when school there is happening The Bronzeville neighborhood also has lots of black owned businesses and other things going on. For IIT students this is the stop closest to it. This gets busy when school is in session. Also close to here is a Metra station so you have another transportation choice. The trains run fairly often so no wait for long. Has an outdoor platform meaning there's fresh air. It's mostly clean compared to around here. The station is mostly safe and there's usually no bad smells.

It may seem that I should have simply stayed at the hotel at O'Hare, but blah, there is nothing to do out there. I'd much rather be in the city. I have been told that you are allowed to bring alcohol on the train and drink while riding... I don't know if you are 'allowed' or nobody cares to care if you drink on the train. The fest last about a week but on one Saturday there is a line up of real trains/cars that you can walk on and walk through.
