Stone Arch - Spam omelette! Not seen at any other restaurant - American Near Me - St Paul, Minnesota

Service - I sat down at MSP Airport to have breakfast - several hours to kill. I had a Starbucks coffee w/me & asked server, Rebecca for scrambled eggs & toast. She went on & on abt my SB coffee that it is not allowed & she could be fired & she was not willing to lose her job. I told her I understand but I am drinking the coffee I paid for - she said I have to "hide it". I replied that I will be drinking my coffee- not hiding it. She came back to my table w/silverware & did not ask me to leave so I stayed. She went from table to table apologizing that she was "so busy" and "thanked them all for being so patient"...however, She did not extend this to me. I waited 15min for my order - of which she forgot the toast. She said she only heard me ask for 2 scrambled eggs. I said no prob - I ordered scrambled eggs & toast - I did hear her asking other patrons very specific ?'s abt their order (what kind of toast, condiments, etc...) but for me she was so consumed with my SB coffee that she kind of shut down. I did not complain as I really did not care nor was I on a time crunch - so no bother. More an observation of her lack of customer service to all patrons. The scrambled eggs were a bit "brown" as they were over cooked - toast was toast - can't really go wrong. I am here at MSP every other week - year round & will not be back to Stone Arch. Servers need training on customer service. Best of luck! P.S. I tipped her 28% - no grudges - just my experience! read more

The Stone Arch Cheeseburger -- one of the better burgers you can find in any airport. Solid all around, cooked to preference, juicy seasoned patty with a ton of flavor and perfect bun ratio. The fries could use an upgrade and serving the burger on a plate the size of the burger itself made it interesting to eat. read more

Stone Arch is the perfect Plan B of MSP. It's got an impressive food and bar menu, lots of seating, and is always well staffed. So, it's pretty hard to go wrong when you've got a layover or time to kill before your flight. That being said, the food is decent but not impressive. And, more often than not - so is the service. But isn't that all we ask of airport dining anyway? My favorite menu item? The Bloody Mary with chicken wing accoutrement! read more

The prices on the menu are not the actual prices. They charge a fee on top that isn't listed. It isn't a tax or a gratuity. Raise your prices, guys. Don't mislead customers. The beer is good, but the bait and switch is gross. read more

This was definitely not good food. The service was fine, but they were out of ice tea. I don't think I've ever seen a restaurant run out of ice tea. The chicken was burnt and inedible, the rice was all clumped together like it was a few days old. The green beans were fresh but tasted like they had been cooked on a dirty grill. It overall was not great. read more

Stone Arch (Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport) - 10/14/24 I tried the Stone Arch Bloody Mary ($18.49 before tip), made with Absolut. I was surprised to see a 4.5% hospitality charge added, intended for employee benefits and to offset the higher operating costs of the airport--quite a shock! Unfortunately, the drink itself didn't live up to expectations. The flavor was lackluster and lacked any real kick, making it disappointingly bland. The best part was honestly the pickle and olives. To top it off, it took 20 minutes to receive the drink. On a positive note, our server, Meghan, was very friendly and attentive. There is no ambiance as this is located at an International Airport. read more

My wife and I were off to a ten day trip to Spain. We went to Seville, Madrid, and Barcelona. Barcelona is way too touristy for me, but they have architecture from Antonio Gaudi, he does amazing work. Stone Arch has Surly Furious on tap at the Minneapolis terminal and it is great for a craft beer beer before you leave for a long trip. I have been by this place at least 10 times in the last few years, so I am guessing that they have great food as well. My wife likes to take a walk to take some steps before we take a flight and I like to have a big beer here before my flight. It is not cheap, but it is a nice a beer before a flight. read more

The server was a friendly person, attentive and sensitive to time (especially in an airport). Sat at the bar and seating was bit crowded, but somewhat too be expected with people having carry ons. I got a couple IPA's and the flavors were good. Again, compliments to the bartender who knew the menu and gave good recommendations. He knew the selection and was top notch, would enjoy him at anyplace I was a local. 5 star so far... I ordered a juicy Lucy and fries. Order came out looking pretty good from a cook, but the plating was a bit of "huh"? Messy burger a chopping board/cooking tray and fries in a to go container. Just awkward to eat. Fries were fine, nothing special. For me needed salt added, but there was fresh ground salt so 0 issues. They lady next to me was offer cheese curds (instead of my option of fries or cowl slaw as on the menu), so a bit bummed couldn't do the substitution. The burger was cooked to my order and had nice flavor. If I only ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions would have been happy with the airport food. However, reason I dropped from 4 to 5 stars, is pretty sure it didn't have the cheese in the center as described and the key to a juicy Lucy. I'm traveling In Minneapolis and this burger is the hallmark. The patty looked cut for stuffing, but... I'll stop here again as was good airport food, but my experience with a "Minnesota Jucy Lucy Burger" fell flat, and I missed the cheese curds. read more

I don't leave reviews for Airport restaurants, but I had such a nice experience at Stone Arch. My waitress was an absolute sweetheart. I unsuspectingly ordered the Deep Fried Pickles. Literally so good! The best deep fried pickles I've ever had and I LOVED that they were served as spears. The burger was an awesome surprise as well! One of the better burgers I've had in ages. Everything ended up being a pleasant surprise. Note: a few travelers arrived right after the kitchen was closed, but she made an exception for them, which I thought was great. They looked exhausted and hungry. It was nice to see her do that for their group! read more

I don't think I've ever done a review on an airport restaurant but I just had to mention STONEARCH at the Minneapolis MSP airport. I'm so glad I stopped in. I have a very long layover which wasn't very happy about. I walked by the STONEARCH and it looked interesting so I walked in. Right away, Chad behind the bar was very friendly and hospitable. I had the Bruhaven Minneapolitan IPA and it was great. The wings and fries were fantastic as well. The atmosphere and the music are fun too. read more

Came into MSP with 5 hours to kill. Burgers and brew sounded like a great way to kill that time. There were new things on the menu since I last ordered & everything I tried was new for me. The burger was pink in the center, as ordered. I was very happy with my order. My wife's coleslaw was terrible tho. I tried it, it was dry, discolored and just plain terrible. Service was great. Staff wore masks and gloves. Customers wore masks to enter and removed them once seated. Menus were scan to phone. All in all, a solid visit and not a terrible price. $67 for 2 meals, 2 craft beers and an appetizer. read more

Since we were super early for our flight, I was so thankful to find that some restaurants were open in the airport. We found an open table at Stone Arch, so decided to try it. The service was great! Our waitress was super friendly and pretty quick. She was also good with the children, which is always a plus. The food was good enough. It satisfied our appetites, and got us ready for our flight. The prices weren't that bad either. 3 stars for the food, 4 for the service. read more

That was pretty dreadful even by airport standards. $25 for a beer and cup of soup. The soup could easily have come from a can. It was thick, gelatinous and flavorless and came with a few ritz crackers. Beer was ok and service was friendly and responsive. Wish I had gone to the vending machines. read more

The bartender was awesome, only issue is I couldn't see his name tag. He Recommended the wings and wow spicy but amazing, would not have even considered them but a good size portion, maybe a little concerning when it comes out as the entire wing. Beer he recommended, From Gose w/Love, was a salty grapefruit thing that helped with the spice of the wing. When finished I then I asked for another beer recommendation and he gave me five different pours to try. I picked one and said I'll go with that and he replied no you won't and opened a can of Utepiks and it was even better. Can really taste the cloves and a hint of banana, so must be healthy right? Really glad I left another place and walked 10 minutes to this place. As I was writing this I had let the beer sit for awhile cloves really tones down and you get some other flavors. read more

The best sit down airport restaurant I've ever visited. Great food, great staff, great beers / cocktails, great service. I've been to so many airport restaurants that turn and burn customers, no smiles. Not here. The staff was friendly and joking with each other when not busy. Staff were happy to be at work. The unsung heroes were the kitchen staff. They were turning out high quality plates that you'd expect at a gastropub, but at a large scale, with efficiency and a calm demeanor. Highly recommend the Bloody Mary with a chicken wing! (unreal) And the bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast. All beers are local craft. If you have a layover, definitely worth stopping and even going out of your way to come here. Compliments to the kitchen and staff. read more

I ate here with my friends and husband when at the airport in Minnesota. We weren't sure where to eat and this place seemed like it would be good. We were greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable waiter. The food was pretty good. The beer section was impressive for an airport restaurant. My husband was dying to try the juicy Lucy so he ordered it. He wasn't too impressed. I don't think it was the restaurant's fault. I just think he doesn't like a juicy Lucy. My friend had grilled chicken with veggies, my other friend had a regular burger and I had a cheeseburger without a bun. The rest of us enjoyed our meals and our beer. read more

We stopped for a quick bite before our flight. Pleasant service and decent food. Could use a little seasoning but not bad at all.

Great place to stop for a meal & an adult beverage to pass away the time on a long layover. Really appreciated the seat-yourself option, as well as a QR code for the various menus. Plenty of electrical outlets to charge your technology too! Enjoyed the chicken & rice dish with mushroom sauce & side of green beans. Well cooked & great flavor. The salted carmel cheesecake was good, but did need a little more salt! I'd definitely consider eating here again the next time I'm in MSP. read more

If I'm being honest, did not have high hopes getting breakfast at an airport. We had a flight delay in the morning, though, and a lot more time to kill than we wanted. Stone arch was one of the only places open at the time, though, so we figured we might as well give it a try. This was a REALLY great experience though! So great, that I bookmarked their website so I wouldn't forget to review them after we got home! The food was reasonably priced and the omelette I got was a delicious and sizable meal. This is definitely a good spot to bookmark and keep in mind anytime you are passing through. Definitely recommend! read more

Really liked the Juicy Lucy burger The onions were sweet and the patty was cooked medium well (just like I asked) and with crispy skin. It was a bit pricey though - $13 for a burger and fries. Conveniently located in Terminal 1, next to the E gates, for anyone wanting to grab a quick bite or drink. Beware, the menu offerings aren't very healthy in general; you have to weed through the plethora of deep fried food or those loaded with processed cheeses and creams. Beer selection is very good, our server was also very quick and efficient. Not my favorite choice to stop by again, due to the unhealthy menu. read more

It's a busy place so you'll have to flag someone down to be noticed. It can take some patience to find a seat. Ordered a juicy lucy but they forgot the cheese. Did you know there is a Prince (or artist fka or symbol) shop? We had a layover in Minneapolis and there it was, smack dab in the middle of the airport. But that's a totally different review. Directly across from Prince town is the Stone Arch. A very typical airport restaurant/bar with a huge exception. You seat yourself. This may be common for you, we've never seen it before; Never in a crowded full service eatery. Luckily, we have a friend that can barter with the best of them. That along with her vast serving experience helped identify a group wrapping it up and on their way out. Table for 4? Right this way! Cathleen is a seasoned veteran of the Stone Arch. She offered us some very sage advice on the fare and the local hootch. I tried my first ever Juicy Lucy and it was fantastic. Big burger cooked medium with melted American cheese, fried onions and homemade ketchup. The locals say it's light on the cheese. Not from where I'm sitting. My wife tackled half of The Rachel (a roasted turkey sandwich w/swiss cheese, cranberry-coleslaw and thousand Island on grilled rye). Somehow it was too spicy, so the rest of us split it up. Our buddies appeared to be pleased with splitting the house burger [(simply called the Stone Arch Cheeseburger) w/bacon-onion jam, American cheese, stone arch sauce and pickles on a house made bun]. From all reports they were also impressed with the Ellsworth Cheese curds. If memory serves, they both tried the Splinter Cat IPA and were very satisfied. I even took a hit and thought it was great. I'm not an IPA fan, so take that for what it's worth. In summery, this is a wonderful spot to kill the layover time and have a pretty good meal and drink. Prices are very reasonable for being inside an airport. Next time we're in MSP...this is our go to. 8/19. read more

It looked like the most inviting restaurant at the Minneapolis airport that would likely have a nice beer selection. So I stepped inside and started scouting for a table where I could sit quietly read and catch up on office emails over lunch. However, within a few minutes, I became painfully aware that the music was blasting so loud, I wasn't going to be able to think, but alone read anything, or just sit and try to enjoy a beer over lunch. (the horseshoe bar was in fact ringed with those indoor outdoor speakers that can make any conversation difficult). too bad, because it had all the other elements of a nice bar-restaurant that I would've liked to have lunch at. read more

Nice eatery inside the Minneapolis airport, we had a lay over. They had the "every where you go" eateries like Chick-fil-A, Bobby Flay, Burger King (?), etc. but we wanted something more regional. the waitress was friendly and quick! As soon as someone finished snd stood up, someone else grabbed the table. Our juicy Lucy burgers were about 6 oz with plenty of "real" American cheese with grilled onions...so sweet. Nice soft bun with a stack of pickles on the slate serving tray. The burger came with fries too but they were just ok, burger was the star! read more

If you have time to kill in the airport, stone arch is a good place to do so. They have a big selection of ice cold beers on tap (the number one requirement of an establishment to spend your layover at). The burger was tasty but I'll admit, all of the food was sooo salty and it was a bit overkill. My coworker ordered the juicy Lucy and was let down when she discovered that hers wasn't actually stuffed with cheese. Service was exemplary! James was amazing! The burger did not skimp on the bacon and the kimchi was flavorful. Their ranch was also delicious. I was impressed that I ordered the ranch as a side with my meal and it ACTUALLY came with the meal. They offer flights, which is nice considering there is quite the selection of beers. They are all local Minnesota beers which is great. I heard the bartender tell the couple next to me that there is no Budweiser, Bud Light or any similar beers. It is also a large restaurant located in a relatively busy area of the airport. There was lots of seating, but bags were a little hard to stow if sitting at the bar. Maybe something to keep in mind if you are dragging around a wheeled plush case of all your travel amenities. Service was prompt and food came out quickly.
