The absolute cutest little coffee house! I stopped on the way to Columbia River Gorge and wish I had allowed myself more time to stay and hang out in this cozy cafe. Very quick and friendly service. There were so many unique and interesting flavor combos for the coffees. I ordered a latte with maple and caramel flavor and it was delicious. Highly recommend!

Chipotle Chicken Wrap

A good spot to grab a bite, enjoy coffee, work and/or socialize with friends. I always get a hot or iced vanilla latte with oatmilk. Coffee is pretty good. I like that it's a local spot but not drive-thru coffee (not the biggest fan, personal preference) . They do have a drive-thru location nearby though. It's a convenient location for me. My go-to bite is the Chipotle Chicken Wrap (toasted, no pickle, no ranch). Quite tasty! I'm not the biggest fan of the wait times - whether it be in the morning/lunchtime/evening but it's a solid choice for a good & coffee trip.

I spent a week in London, and I'm pretty sure the best coffee I had on my entire trip was at Stomping Grounds Café. This place is downright otherworldly. I stumbled upon it because I was staying at a nearby Airbnb, and honestly, if I lived in the neighborhood I'd be there all the time. Stomping Grounds is my idea of the perfect coffee shop: shelves of charming trinkets, comfy seating, amazing coffee, pastries and snacks, a cozy vibe, and a little corner of local goodies for sale. It's the kind of place that makes you want to curl up under a blanket with a book, spend the afternoon journaling, and lean all the way into your inner hygge energy. And in a way, you can *actually* do that here. It's tucked right in the middle of a park, which just makes it all the more dreamy. I went twice during my London stay, and both times the baristas were lovely, friendly and welcoming.

This place is chosen coz located on the way to Mutnomah Waterfall. Place is super cozy, the order taker lady super welcoming. We ordered Matcha Latte which can be adjusted to Unsweetened one as well Salted Matcha Caramel Latte which tasted really yum! Everything is clean and it is go clean after yourself. There is a station to stack plates & cups once you are done.

Cinnamon roll

I have a gripe about service. It was not friendly. It was not helpful. Case in point: I got a white noise... latte? She asked what size, and I choose the smaller size, not knowing that it was on special and the next size up was actually cheaper than the one I got. Why wouldn't you tell a customer that? Otherwise, they do ask if you want stuff warmed, but the air of the service was blasé, at best. Menu of drinks is quite large. Loads to choose from. - white noise coffee: no clue what was in it, but it was good. - cinnamon roll: not bad. Pretty average, and not as soft as I would have liked. - snickerdoodle: solid. Chewy and just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. Bags of coffee for purchase are ground and not whole bean, which was juuuust slightly disappointing.

The place was super cute a cozy, country music, good lighting, warm vibe! The drinks were amazing and beautiful. The food was hot and tasty! The scone was a tiny bit dry but with the coffee it balances it out!

Ordered the Maui mocha, it's. Very good! Great service from staff and quiet ambiance for your personal time.

Super busy Sunday morning :-)

Why not five stars? This is the most relaxing "coffee, pastries, sandwiches" spot in our area. Great atmosphere, if you can get a table! This coffee house on Halsey is so popular. Come on over, have an iced mocha, enjoy a scrumptious pastry or breakfast sandwich and relax with family and friends. Baristas do their best to get orders out with a smile and quickly, too!

Peak coffee with peak breakfast sandwich!

Coffee... PEAK! Food..... PEAK!! I don't know who's cooking over there, but they cooked!! that breakfast sandwich was incredible. Honestly, everything tasted amazing. Service was perfect, and the place is clean and spacious. Easily the best spot in town.

Awesome breakfast bagel. Love the texture of the scrambled eggs. Not rubbery like most places who microwave. Tasty latte. Good place to relax in cute funky vintage chairs.

Chai latte and lemon lavender gluten free muffin

Came to stop by right before driving out to Mulnomah! Was pretty surprised with the place! Pretty busy and lots of seating! Has a vibrant and lively atmosphere. Service is really friendly and helpful! Had their lumberjack latte! Loved it! Would give it a 8.5/10 Plenty of parking!

They made it just like I like it...

I have a love hate relationship with Stomping Grounds Coffee Shop. First of all parking is never an issue, as there's a large parking lot here. Then there's plenty of seating inside with many different types of seating arrangements. On top of that they have delicious food and even more delicious treats. They are friendly enough but with a bit of a snooty attitude (just a bit...). Having said all that, oftentimes it's very hard to find a good table. And the dirty dishes trees are almost always full. So, why the love hate relationship... frankly I don't know .

This location is also a bit small so not really suitable for big groups. We came on a Friday for lunch and there's only 1 kiosk so it takes a while for big groups to order and I don't think they have a person starting another order if it gets too busy. They were out of a couple of the drinks for the kids menu, which was okay because there were 2 other options. Not once did the staff interact with us or say hello to us. The wait time for the food was ok but the server basically ran and threw the food at our table without ever saying anything to us. I ordered a pork katsu sandwich and the pork was VERY dry. I also ordered it normal but when she threw it on the table, she mumbled something "it's not spicy" and but there was clearly some red powder on it and looked like my friend's sandwich that she ordered spicy. We went up to ask the girl and she said they accidentally put the powder on but it's not spicy and that was it. She didn't apologize or offer to exchange it. I think it's unacceptable behavior and I was in disbelief. They were also out of ketchup and we had a whole table of French fries with the kids meals... I have been to the other location a few times and the food and service was good as far as I can remember, but this location is horrible. I will never come back again and will tell all my friends and family about my experience. 2/9- I emailed the business owner like he requested but never got a reply. Don't need to tell me to reach out if you don't care to email back. Thanks.

They go in a "throw everything onto the bun the way we like it" road, so mostly you eat things their way. Sometimes, you just want a burger. Worth checking out again, for sure, this time for the dogs. We've been wanting to find a new burger place for a while now, so when I was on my way home one day I thought I'd stop in at Buhnz, since it was on my way. Lovely, friendly staff, good vibe, it seemed like the whole family was there. I looked over the menu and had to think for a moment. Wasn't it Bourdain who said "You have to ask yourself, when you are making a burger, 'am I actually improving this? It is already almost perfect, so am I making it better by putting things on it?'" Buhnz brings that question into sharp focus. The-woman-who-lets-me-live-with-her (thanks Mike), likes a mushroom Swiss burger. It's not that she isn't adventurous, its that she wasn't there to look at the menu and I wanted to start off with something familiar. No Swiss, no mushrooms. Now, they're not on the menu either, but they're pretty standard, aren't they? That's one of the three or four classic burgers. I got her the cheese burger, straight up, no pickles. It's a good burger, no lie. Juicy enough, maybe a bit too far down the smashburger trail (not enough thickness to retain any pink), but a good all around cheeseburger. Fries are also very tasty. I ordered the Buhnz Burger for myself. This is their eponymous burger, what are they going for? Everything, it would seem. Somewhere under a mountain of very tasty stuff there was a burger, nicely caramelized, tender and juicy. But it was under there somewhere. Everything tasted good. The people are friendly. The vibe is simple, but friendly, the rest is just my biases. Burgers are, to me at least, something that should be available my way, since they are so customizable. Limiting me to a set menu in that context will keep me from stopping as frequently as I might like.
