I've been struggling to sleep and I've tried all these different products and this for sure gave me the best sleep

Brought the family to see Stomp over the weekend and it was a blast! We were so excited to watch the show with our kids that we had seen almost 30 years ago, seeing the awe and wonder on their faces was so worth trekking through the snow covered streets. Before I get to the actual show (and what some may view as a spoiler), lets talk location. It's right there on 2nd Ave bet 7th and 8th near St Marks, so lots of dining within walking distance, pretty much any type of cuisine you can want. You can find street parking, depending on the day/time of show, so if you don't feel like paying for a deck, arrive early to search for a spot and make sure you read the signs to avoid a ticket. The venue is small, but seeing as the show has been around for 30 years, you shouldn't have a hard time getting tickets. What's really nice is, when we got there for our matinee show on Sunday, they had extra seats right up front that they upgraded us for free to! Now on to the show (SPOILER ALERT)! If you didn't know already, Stomp is basically a musical where no regular instruments are used, everyday objects you find all over like brooms, garbage bins, lighters, luggage, and newspapers are used to make noises into song. With that said, it is very loud! There is also quite a bit of laughter as some characters on stage are humorous and there is some audience participation as well, so if you like that, listen for your cue to join in. Definitely a show for all ages if you like music. I'd be happy to see it again! read more

Broadway is back!!! Hands down, Stomp is a phenomenal show!!! Absolutely incredible!! This was my second time seeing the show and it was just as amazing as the first time I saw it. Being on lock down for over a year, there was no way I was not going to get tickets for opening night. I just had to be here. In order to enter the theater, you have to be fully vaccinated or show proof of a negative Covid-19 test. There's no exceptions. There were people who arrived with no vaccination card or Covid test, and were instructed to go tested before the show or they wouldn't be able to enter. If you are vaccinated, I would suggest downloading the NYS Excelsior pass wallet app and uploading your vaccination information. It's so convenient, and quick! They have scanners for the Excelsior pass to verify vaccination. My QR code was scanned, and I was escorted to my seat. Anywhere you have to show proof of vaccination, the Excelsior pass is the way to go. It beats having to carry, and/or potentially misplacing or losing your vaccination card. What a fun show! Great for all ages! Theatre is just right for the production! Highly recommend

It worked as a back-up since our original tickets for Rockettes were cancelled and we still wanted to see a show because my mother-in-law was in town. I saw this when I was a kid and my husband and I have been wanting to see it for a while now since we live in the neighborhood but it honestly didn't quite meet my expectations. Perhaps it's my fault because I had forgotten the premise but it felt very noisy to me. The kids in the crowd LOVED it though so I would highly recommend bringing children because their enthusiasm is what kept me going. Unlike other broadway shows, would not see again, but a fine experience if you're looking for a show. The actors are definitely super talented though, just not my personal cup of tea! read more

Interesting concept but NO! Eight actors walk/run around the stage banging things. They aren't untalented, but it gets awfully repetitive! I do not recommend this show at all. If there had been an intermission, we would ave left. But alas it was an hour and a half straight through of noise. The theatre bathrooms are up on the second floor with no elevator, not fun! Gifted hubby (with his request) to see a Saturday night STOMP show- while still keeping the ball rolling with his Birthday festivities. Hubby had already seen this show and brought my daughter who was 10 at the time, to experience Music in a whole different light. She loved it. He-even more. Our $98 each AA Left side Balcony Front Row seats, were nearly excellent (if it wasn't for that slightly higher metal pipe railing blocking hubby's view). STOMP isn't for the frail: it's super loud at times, then other times, it's more on the mellow side. (I even think Kindergarteners will have such a blast!). Why not? Still keeping with their trademark STOMP style, hubby did notice some new "instruments". From beginning to end though, STOMP performers delivered and got the audience involved in a sort of tempo clapping game. Actually, the Rhythm, Coordination and Dance moves- were so exciting and intense for me, I got chills. But seriously though, this is really thinking outside the box. And Music involved? OMG. People. This is one of the best things I have ever seen. I've been wanting to see this show for over 20 years and it was better than I imagined. My very favorite pieces were the ones with only foot, body, and hand beats/claps, maybe added wooden long sticks and/or drumsticks, and some smooth choreography. I nearly cried a few times during those portions. Drums, beats, dance: these are some of the fundamental elements that make us all human. I cannot overemphasize how fantastic this show was and I highly highly recommend it to anyone if you get the chance to see it. Front row if you can because holy hell that was worth it. We were so close to the stage we both made eye contact with the performers; I even got grinned at/winked at by each of the female performers, who were ugh so badass. Bonus: two of the stars of the show went to the lobby and took photos with the audience as we left. I was gushing. I'm gushing now haha and I will stop. Just. Go see it. read more

The Stomp Off Broadway musical performance was one of the best I have ever seen. The energy and talent of the performers was amazing. They had the audience up and dancing in their seats. This was a great show and very interactive performance between the actors and the audience...great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Be prepared to clap your hands off...and keep to the rhythm... Such a great performance without the use of a band, stage music or recordings. The actors make the beats and keep the rhythm as they perform from one skit to the next...you can't fall asleep as it's soooo interactive. They also have a comic relief...you almost feel bad for him but memorable for sure. The cast is great and would definitely go see it again! Love the stage setup and the décor on the walls all around Thanks to my friend for getting us tickets to see Stomp! We got upgrade from the back to the first couple of rows. If you sit in the 1st row, be prepared to be part of the act... watch the water and dust fly and your purse to be stolen...then returned... Kudos to such a great cast!!! I've been wanting to see/hear STOMP for years and finally went last night. It was an absolute blast, different from anything I've seen/heard and so much fun. I can see why it's been an institution for 25+ years. The performers dance and percussion talents were phenomenal. There was audience participation which was a lot of fun. If you have not seen this amazing show, please put it on your list. This is my third time seeing it. When my kids were seven and nine years old this was my son's birthday surprise. I remember for weeks my kitchen was their stage as they banged on every pot and pan. Now that my children are 21 and 23 I can expose my middle school step team to the rhythmic sounds of Stomp. The first time we saw this amazing cast my students lite up with excitement. After the show they stepped in the lobby and showed the cast their moves. After seeing Stomp my student went back to school and created their own Version of Stomp. Thank you for sharing your talents with generations after generations. Very nice show. The theater is pretty small so I honestly don't think there is a bad seat in the house so you don't have to sit front row and pay a lot just to be able to get the experience. Since it is a small theater it is a little cramped. The crew was very talented, funny and creative. I tend to like shows with some dialogue but it was still a nice show. This is solely an auditory experience. Although I liked it, It is something that I would only want to see once. My favorite was the portion that they used matches, that was really cool. I also liked that the performers interacted with the audience in parts of the show. It's a great show for all ages. I would recommend earplugs for some parts it tends to get loud at times. They used things like brooms, matches, trash can lids, to newspapers and kitchen sinks. Overall cool experience. *No pictures or videos allowed while people are on stage. read more

This show brings back such good memories of my childhood. I first saw this show decades (painful to admit it has been that long) as a kid and loved it. I think I enjoyed it even more as an adult! The beats are amazing. The dancers are energetic and interactive with the crowd. There is humor and liveliness that is enjoyable for all ages. The theater is intimate so all the seats have a good view. Really loved experiencing this again - I definitely missed parts of the humor as a child. Great for all ages. Ticket price is reasonable and away from the craziness of the city. A few of the cast members were also outside to meet and take pictures with folks as we walked out- what a nice touch! Would highly recommend this for larger parties too (there was a birthday party gathering while we were there.) read more

A good show to catch away from Broadway. It is as if street dancers along with tap dancers and artists had babies and this is the result lol. The staff I must admit is pretty creative and talented and they must have been doing this together for yrs since they work well together. The theater itself is pretty small but we got decent seating on the first row of the balcony. Some of my favorite moments is when they used the lighters and another is the kitchen sinks part. There are many different you can enjoy. The cast also got the crowd a bit involved and made it funny. I feel it was a bit long, close to two hours. Anyway I had a great time and it was worth the money! read more

8/5/20 During my college years, I went to visit a friend named Spencer. He treated me to a show called Stomp. I had heard great reviews on the show, but I wasn't 100% sure I would like the show. We walked around New York for a while and ended walking down a side street where the Orpheum Theatre was. We happen to see one of the performing artists chilling outside. He was in costume, but he seem happy. A lot of time has past since I saw this show, but the fact that great sounding music came from everyday household items was a blast. I can't remember if there was talking from the performers, but facial expression, body language and foot stoping are key ingredients to this act. I thought this show was dead and gone as I got finished writing my review on the Blue Man Group, but this group is still a live and kicking. This is great news. I am glad this show is still going. I might get to take wife here when this Coronavirus Pandemic ends. read more

'Stomp' is literally my favorite show - I've always loved percussion, and seeing these awesome performers making awesome beats with matchboxes, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, and brooms is just ridiculously cool. The show itself has a great sense of humor to it, filled with dance, theatrical performance, and awesome beats. I absolutely love it! I've seen the show in London as well as the one at Orpheum Theater in East Village - totally worth it. The theater itself is small, but intimate, and the seats are steep so you don't have to peer over anyone's head - a huge plus! I've been wanting to check this show out for some time & finally had the opportunity to do so. At first I wasn't sure what was going on because one of the cast members I assumed came on stage & started to sweep? In my head I was like uh? Their cleaning now, lord needless to say this is how the show begins Lolll. From this moment on it was non stop entertainment the bit w the brooms was crazy, the clapping, tubes & lights it's like pretty much anything & everything they use to make music the louder it got the better it was .. wow what a fun & entertaining show. I can't imagine any of the cast members ever hitting a gym this show takes a lot of physical activity their bodies must be crazy sore after a performance. A++ show! I've been passing this theater for as long as I can remember and have never had any idea what the show is about. A week ago I got an email promotion for its 25th anniversary - tickets would be just $25 each! So I thought, why not, I love going to shows and so does my fiancé so this would be a perfect date night. Fast forward to yesterday, during the day before the show, I finally decided to look up what it's actually about. That's when I realized it was going to be an hour and 45 minutes of watching 8 people, who aren't speaking, but making music using various miscellaneous objects. I immediately thought to myself, how can that possibly go on for almost 2 hours and remain entertaining? Remember how I mentioned that our tickets were $25 each? Well that meant we were going to be seated in the last row - which was totally fine by me! However, as soon as we sat down, someone who worked at the theater grabbed us and upgraded us to SECOND ROW! So awesome. 5 minutes into the show and my fiancé and I were in the zone. Completely taken by the cast, this performance is truly one of a kind! The interactions between the 8 people and their use of everyday objects to make music was fascinating. They even interacted with the audience quite a bit which made you really feel like you were part of everything that was going on. TL:DR- if you love loud, rhythmic music, go. I loved it. First, tiny venue. You do not need to shell out the extra money to sit near the front. Very friendly staff. Billed as hour forty-five show. It's hour and a half. I could have watched for another hour. Extremely talented performers. Passionate, great stamina, stage presence. This is a show that doesn't rely on an elaborate set or fancy costumes; it is 100 percent flawless choreography and talent. Yes, it can get loud. That's the best part. If you don't love loud percussion, don't go. Not sure why other reviewers expected a plot or story? They're basically a music group. A quick Google would reveal: no plot. Anyway, I'd go back but then again I was clapping like a maniac. read more

Super fun show! I've had this on my to-see list for quite some time now and glad I finally got to see it. The theater is small and very intimate. My only issue is it wasn't very easy to see their feet from the 5th row. The orchestra seats don't slope up so heads in front of you do obstruct your view a bit (but it wasn't terrible). The sounds and rhythms they create are fantastic, and not to give too much away but they do a great job of sprinkling some humor in there which makes for a terrific show. A couple of the guys came out front after the show for a meet and greet which was pretty cool. So hang out after if you want a pic! read more

Incredibly creative, dynamic, and fun for audience goers of all ages, stomps wins a "stomp" of approval from me! My husband and I went after getting last minute tickets from Groupon- even though our seats were "near the back" we were surprised that because of the size of the theater (small) we had an excellent view of the stage! The performers were exceptionally talented, and able to convey so much emotion from their movements - I thought the performance would becoming tiresome without any words, but the music and dancing kept me captivated. What a great show! My kids loved! Only tip, would be if you are traveling with children to the area watch the early 2 pm or 5:30 pm show, the area is not great at night for kids. The theater is very small, so you can be pretty safe with whatever sits your get. The closer the better though, the experience is way better. We were on 4th row and LOVED it. At the end two of the artists were taking pictures with people. My 12 year old with Autism, asked Sean and Jasmine a couple of questions. I LOVED how both were very sweet and nice to my boy. It made his night. Recomendo a 100%! On our next trip to NYC we are coming back for sure. My kids ages 6,10 and 12, all LOVED it beginning to end. Thank you! read more

Whenever you use your broom to sweep, do it with panache, do a little swishing with the broom, make music, make it happen... We sat in row AA in the balcony, which overhangs row J below. From the minute they enter the stage area to the minute they finish, you will be hanging out of your seat, with your hands clutching the railing in a tight grip and your feet stomping, naturally. The applause just never wants to stomp, Oh, I mean stop! They are outstanding and I do mean phenomenal! The "music" they make is mind boggling, from beginning to an amazing ending with lighters! Go to see them and STOMP!! Young people expressing themselves with the swish of brooms, the drumming on garbage can lids, the clanging of glass, metal or any other object you could find in an alley. Without saying a word, Stomp is the epitome of creativity. Like everyone else has said, the performers use sinks, matchboxes, brooms, garbage cans, lighters, buckets, brooms, their own bodies, tubes, and more to make music and dance. The audience is full of kids and their parents, but anyone can and will enjoy this show. My mom loved it. She was laughing harder than anyone actually! Certain parts of it are extremely funny, and most scenes will get a laugh out of you for sure, even with no plot. My family and I were thoroughly entertained. I'd recommend to sit in the middle of the orchestra or any seat back. If you're front row, it's too loud. Also do some investigating for Groupon or LivingSocial deals. They are always around. I love what Stomp teaches - that you can have fun with even the simplest objects. That you can make music out of anything and everything. That music is ultimately anything with a rhythm. read more

Went to go see Stomp a few years back. All I can remember is to be musically entertained. Bf and I prefer Stomp over Blue Man Group for musical beats. Tip: Try to get the cheaper tickets. I would personally pay about $30 to $40 for the show. No more than that. read more

Truly a High-Voltage Virtuosity!! Stomp is a performance group that is incredibly unique: they use broomsticks, pots and pans, garbage cans, and even kitchen sinks in a mostly-percussive manner to make music. Stomp's uniqueness however stems not just from its use of non-standard instruments, but from making their music highly accessible through Performance Art. During a recent visit to the city we decided to finally check out Stomp. We bought our tickets pretty late so we ended up sitting in the first row of the balcony. The tickets, in my opinion were pretty pricy, seeing that Stomp has been around so long but luckily the show was worth the $$ in the end. The tickets were about $90+ each. The show started prompted and was amazing. The entire cast did a fantastic job. The show is physically demanding from beginning to end and I felt like everyone gave it 100% the entire performance. We left throughly pleased with the experience. I highly recommend the show to anyone who enjoys music or dance. read more

OMG! I didn't expect it. But I just was really impressed. To be honest I am a big fun of musicals and when my friends offered me to go to STOMP I was like.. what? The rhythm of NY ... It is a show that's difficult to describe and better to see ones. That's really strange that I have never heard about it before because it is funny, entertaining, inflaming. It is worth to see! Whoever knew that you could make so many cool noises out of every day objects. Over 1 hour and 45 minutes of banging, jumping, knocking and hitting things. Overall, the show was pretty interesting and it was neat to watch what they were going to make music out of next. Just don't go with a headache (which unfortunately was my case). As far as the theater -- it's small and it smells like b.o., or maybe it was just the dude in front of me. Also, it's super hot in the theater. Like everyone has mentioned, the theater is small, so you will almost definitely have a good view wherever you sit. read more

I was able to catch STOMP when they came to Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center. WOW. From beginning to end the entire show is exciting, entertaining and surprisingly really funny. The starting broom sequence was cool but it gets so much better as the show goes on. The highlight for me was the lighters. Something so simple was turned into an elaborate, perfectly coordinated show of flickering lights and sounds. Not sure if they change up performers regularly but if you see the girl with the dredlocks she is awesome - SO much energy. I went home stomping and making noises with everything from keys to stools. My wife doesn't think I am as good - but I like to think I am up to par with the pros. read more

Within the first ten minutes I already wanted to go home...and start cleaning cause damn they can whip out a catchy beat out of nothing. The show was extremely entertaining and the way the performers interacted with us, the audience, was extremely engaging. The comedy in the show was way funnier than I imagined. The theater was small as well as the seats but if you're gonna write a review complaining about the seats then you're just a bitch. read more
