These cheesesteaks are delicious! We drive an hour and a half to get these. I also am in love with their fried pickles as well. The cashier/order taker is particularly polite and we have hadmany nice conversations! There is really only a dive bar to sit, so you would want to take your food home, but that's what we were looking to do anyway! Highly reccomend. read more

Fresh shaved ribeye (and lots of it), cooper sharp, delicious fried onions, on your choice of a seeded or non seeded Carangi roll. $16 which is in line with or cheaper than anywhere else serving a steak of this quality. The staff here were very nice, we (Foodula, Godfather of Meat, and myself) had a good conversation with the cook on duty when we went and I've since spoken with the owner and he was very nice as well. Seating is minimal but it worked for us to get our steak on. Would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking to try a new spot (if you haven't already). Absolutely phenomenal cheese steak. I've had em all around the city. This is a top notch sandwich. Instant top 5 cheese steak. Right on par with Del Rossis. The condiment bar puts it over the top. Great steak sandwich. The seeded roll holds up but isn't too tough and the meat was clearly a quality sliced ribeye and well seasoned with a good ratio of steak, cheese, and onion. I added peppers and it was a good amount but not overpowering at all. I tried two other steak sandwiches in northeast Philly area and this one was hands down the best. Now I feel like I didn't miss out on the real deal, even though I didn't go into the city center. I got it delivered and even with a 15 min drive it was still warm with melty cheese. Stoli's is one of the top cheesesteak contenders in the city, they're certainly number one in the Northeast. They use seeded rolls which are phenomenal, the perfect amount of chew and they do well soaking up any juice or cheese. I typically go Cooper with, but occasionally I'll be craving some Whiz and get their American/Whiz with fried onions. They're always good, the staff is phenomenal and typically pretty quick. If I had one critique, they use slightly more black pepper on their steaks than I care for. It's not extreme by any means but it's there. This is a personal thing of mine, but it does not take away from the quality that they're doing. read more

I ordered a chicken cheesesteak with provolone and fried onions, mozzarella sticks, and a can of iced tea. The food was delicious! It was nice and warm when I received it. My only minor complaints: The mozzarella sticks only came with 5 sticks. That's a little under $2.00 per stick. I think that's a little expensive for only 5 sticks, but I understand the price is increased on Uber Eats. A small can of iced tea was $3.25. I understand if it was a bottle of iced tea. I really don't care what anyone else says, Stoli's has the best cheese steaks I have tried all around town. I work for Uber and Lyft, and I get around quite a lot. I've only had Stoli's twice in my life so far, years apart mind you, ..and the flavor and quality is still there. Today I had the mushroom steak with cheese.. and it truly did not disappoint. The bread feels crisp, fresh, and homemade, the ingredients work well together, and I could tell and feel that much care was taken in delivering a wonderful product at an incredibly fast pace. When I went they said it was Cash only.. it was well worth heading to the ATM for the meal.. as a lover of good food, thank you my friends at Stoli's I wish you all the success you deserve, and thank you for your hard work. I truly hope you will continue making wonderful food for as long as possible, and will recommend you to anyone asking about what cheesesteak I think is the best one around, until I find a better one. We used to get Stolis twice a month up until 2023. At that time prices went up and quality went down. Well tonight we thought we'd give them another try. Ordered a steak with fried onions, a steak hoagie and a chicken sandwich. Steak sandwich came with cheese that I did not order ( lactose intolerant) the fried chicken sandwich was a pressed chicken like frozen patty on a standard hamburger roll. The steak hoagie was okay but super greasy, like grease dripping from the wrapper. Got poppets too they were the best part of the meal. Never going back. That total was $78! Cheesesteaks are the signature sandwich for Philadelphia and a tip to not make you look like a tourist straight off the turnip truck, don't call it a Philly cheesesteak in the City of Brotherly Love, just refer to it as a cheesesteak. There are multiple "celebrity" cheesesteak joints, places that have been immortalized by shows on "The Food Network," "The Teavel Channel," and other television shows, not to mention magazine articles and social media, but honestly, a lot of those places certainly are not the best reflection of the best version of that particular food. In Philadelphia, two places in particular get a lot of attention and the main reason I would suspect is their close proximity to each other and the supposed "rivalry" that they have. I guess they figure it makes for more interesting TV, who knows? No, those places don't have the best cheesesteaks, the best cheesesteaks will be found away from the bright lights that the media will light, it will be found in places like this. Stoli's Steaks (see, no mention of Philly cheesesteak in the name, in fact they are so Philly, they even drop the word "cheese" from the name) is one of those places. Bustleton Avenue is not a place that will have the tourists lining up, but that is their loss. Stoli's Steaks has some great cheesesteaks. In addition to their wonderful cheesesteaks, they have great burgers, big and juicy. I would also recommend their fries, in particular their pizza fries (truly a Philly culinary wonder). I get raw onions and hot peppers, and there was an even amount of both. The cheesesteak even came in nicely wrapped red and white checkered paper. 2nd cheesesteak (a few months later): The bread was stale and ripped up the roof of my mouth. The meat wasn't chopped as well, and it was overloaded with onion and only 1 hot pepper. No lie, just 1. This is a cheesesteak aficionados cheesesteak. Roll, meat and cheese is all you need to order. They do a great job of seasoning the meat. It is a thicker slice and he purposely does not chop it fine. There's a couple stools if you want to eat there. Not much more to say. This is a very good cheese steak. Very good corropolese roll. Very good season meat that you get to bite into. Driving through on 276 and looking for cheesesteaks because we never get to Philly on our usual path Ohio to NJ/CT. Stopped because this one was the closest dedicated cheesesteak type shop. In a strip mall, unassuming- just the way I like my places! The cheesesteak was stuffed and you can get it whatever way you like (with pep or without and with mushrooms or without and any cheese that strikes your fancy - I like American or wiz so I got both because, 2021). My Ma got a pepper steak with mush and provolone. She loved it! I had onions and American+wiz. My 1.5 year old had a Nathan's hotdog, which he loved (footlong I think? On the same hoagie type roll, which he also loved!) The bread is nice bakery bread with seeds. A good solid hoagie roll. Soft inside, slight crisp out. Loaded loaded with meat n stuff (stuff being whatever you like on it) - actually enough meat to pay the $10 per sandy. Would 100% stop again. Delicious!
