My dog has heart disease and cannot be easily tricked into taking his daily pills. My cardiologist vet told me about compounded formulas and the tinytablets have been a literal lifesaver for us and takes a lot of the stress away as it is much easier to hide in his food. At the end of March, our Vet wanted to start our cat on a new oral paste for his inflamed gums. Unfortunately, the prescription had to go through Stokes. Stokes called me and stated they would prepare the prescription and paid up front over $260. After almost 2 weeks of not receiving any information or the prescription, I call Stokes for them to tell me that they ran out of the ingredients to create his medication, and had to wait for a shipment. At no time did anyone from Stokes contact me or my wife to give us this information. Nor despite claims when I called them, did they email me any information. So calling this morning they say they are in the process of making it and it would go out by Wed.. When I asked about expedited delivery since their "Running out" has already delayed my cats medicine two weeks, they declined saying "We don't do free upgrades". When I said this is not a free upgrade, this is customer satisfaction for your lack of communication and delay in the medication. I was then hung up on by Stokes. I had never heard of Stokes before this, and I will in any possible case going forward, never utilize them again. read more

Hopping on here to share a really positive, years long, experience with Stokes in part because I was shocked at seeing they only had a 3-star overall. Stokes has been providing my cat's chemotherapy medication for about 3 years now and they've always done a fantastic job. Stokes phone service quality is very high and friendly. Mixed feelings- your told to act quickly so I ordered through Stokes as it was a holiday week and I didn't know when they'd be closed. I was charged $2000 for the liquid meds for my cat with FIP. That seems really high compared to what I'm seeing now. And like someone else said, there was no stopper in the bottle so as it got lower I had to tilt the bottle which got messy. It did arrive quickly (I paid extra for that) and it did help my baby but 2k seems so really high compared to other pharmacies. read more

I do not trust Stokes. I placed and order and called to cancel it ten minutes later. they assured me the order was canceled. I requested a written confirmation of the cancel order. they said it would come in three days. I received emails that the items I had canceled were being shipped. I called again to confirm the cancellation and again requested written confirmation that the items had been canceled. they said I would get an email about the cancellation in three days. now I have received ups expected delivery dates for the canceled items and I still have no written proof that they processed my cancellation. They provide no way for a pet owner to communicate with them in writing, so there is no written record of what you have communicated to them. this is not how a honest company behaves. I plan to share this with my vet and on other social media. Pet owners beware. read more

Stokes charged us $15 per pill for "made to order" FIP medication for our cat (a 30-day supply cost us $900), and they didn't even formulate the right dosage! We had to cut the pills into halves, then quarters, and try to put 3/4 of a crumbling tablet into a pill shooter. I used Stokes Pharmacy for 2 years now. Everything has been good until recently. My cat's chorambucil delivery was delayed and the weather hit over 80 degrees for 2 of the days of delivery... UPS tracker literally states delivery was delayed 2 days due to the shipment container arriving late. When I called Stokes - they doubled down and said their compounded chorambucil (unlike every other article I can find online) can be stored at 136degrees for over a week. They only started refrigerating it recently. They have better medication/more advanced formula than human chorambucil it seems. I asked for any scientific articles in reputable journals or otherwise that states compounded tablet chorambucil does not lose any efficacy when stored at 100-130+ F for a week. They said they could not provide it. This is my baby's CANCER medicine, which she would take for two months once arrived. I wanted to cancel that order and get a new delivery. They refused. It feels like they care more about making a profit out of your baby's health issues than being a supportive partner that works with you. I am going to use a different pharmacy going forward. read more

This is my Second cat this year having FIP. My first one got the miracle medicine, completed the 84 day treatment and is doing awesome. My second cat has Neuro FIP and was unable to walk and was having all the other associated complications. After being on Stokes GS441524 for 3 weeks, he started walking, still some ataxia but he was improving. He was incontinent and had to wear diapers. Now, after 33 days, he is walking, running, jumping, playing, no longer wearing diapers and has gained over 2 pounds. This cat had felt horrible for a long time before being diagnosed with the horrible disease but now, he finally is living a happy life. Every single time I go to fill a prescription, they can't fill the full prescription because the lot will expire before you can use it. But they will charge you the same amount for one pill and they will for 20. So if they can only fill half of the prescription at a time, you have to pay twice as much in the end. I am so in debt I eat one meal a day so that my cat will live. They are making loads of profit off of people with these games while lives hang in the balance. And absolutely zero compassion for people's hardship. When I asked about any other options, I was met with an angry one word "No." And she continued to yell at me instead of offering any understanding or compassion. Shame on you. read more

I have used them for a couple of years for a blind dog's eye drops. Seems like the customer service and dependability has significantly dropped. Two months now, I have had problems with delivery. First I was told I need to pay the 9.50 fee for expedient shipping, which is 2-3 days. So this month, I paid it, only to be told it was now 3-5 days and oh, by the way, UPS lost it. If I could rate them negative stars, I would. My kitten was diagnosed with FIP, and the hospital advised us that they would have the pharmacy contact us to get the medication paid for and they would have it shipped directly to the hospital. The pharmacy then asked us if we wanted it overnighted or regular shipping. We were not aware that the pharmacy had been TOLD to have it overnighted - so we had no idea that the hospital was WAITING for this medication, and we (sadly) did not ask them to overnight it because we were under the impression that this was the medication WE would be giving our kitten after he was discharged. It wasn't until after it was shipped that I tried to ask them why they would not tell us to overnight it when THEY knew the hospital was waiting on it and THEY had been TOLD to overnight it. Because we had no idea! We paid over $550 for this medication on a Thurs. morning before noon - and on Fri afternoon, I found out that it wasn't even supposed to arrive until Mon. We were told that he would not make it until then - and I had to beg UPS to try to get it there Sat morning. Which UPS did. UPS also told us that this pharmacy COULD modify the shipping and change it to overnight, but multiple people at the pharmacy refused to try and claimed UPS was wrong. Although multiple UPS staff members claimed that this WAS something that the pharmacy could modify if they logged into their system and updated the shipping information. The pharmacy staff was awful, though, and I had no idea they were TOLD it was necessary to overnight it - that note is IN my kitten's medical records, which we obtained after his passing. And the medication did NOT get there until after he passed. I paid over $500 for this pharmacy to waste the medication because they didn't do what the actual hospital told them to do. I'm sure they help a lot of people since this medication is rare - but their staff needs to get their sh!t together and if the hospital tells them to overnight it, then DO IT and don't ask the owners when they're not the hospital and have no idea what they need. They sent us s bottle of very expensive suspension medication without the stopper already inserted. This meant we had to try to force the stopper in ourselves without spilling, which we were unable to do. So, no we have to use.the syringe without a stopper which will likely lead to incorrect dosing and waste of very expensive medicine that ends up on the outside instead of the inside of the syringe. We were also not sent more detailed information about the medication inside the delivery package and had to look for it ourselves on their website. Bottle had no indication of need to take without or without food, though website noted importance of doing at least one hour before feeding for proper dosing.​ read more
