So I asked the gentleman at the front desk and he casually goes, "yeah it's like that every summer." Sir... why was this information guarded like classified military intel?! So bam... hit the weights first trying to look athletic for absolutely nobody, then made my way outside to the pool. Let me tell you something... night swimming with nobody around feels like you accidentally rented out a millionaire's backyard. Quiet, peaceful, and not one kid cannonballing directly next to your face while you're trying to have a spiritual moment floating under the stars. I almost stayed until they kicked me out. This gym honestly has some awesome employees too. Amber always comes in with that motivational energy like she's coaching Rocky before a title fight. Then there's Keith moving around the floor like a gym FBI agent making sure dumbbells make it back home safely. Dude cares about the place and it shows. Now parking... whew. Between 4-7pm it's basically the Hunger Games. Once you see headlights backing out you better commit immediately and believe in yourself. But after 9pm? Different universe. Feels like you own the place. Wide open equipment, peaceful vibe, and enough room to finally do lunges without accidentally ending up in somebody's protein shake.

LOL personally I've been coming here since the gym opened in 2019, machines break down they get fixed, sauna whirlpools, same thing. Things break down and they get fixed, what's important to me is cleanliness, the gym is spotless. Super clean. Since 2019. I don't get it, but it's real, the atmosphere is nice, locker rooms are well above average, nice and relaxing, showers are clean as well. Very good. Honestly hearing that staff aren't professional from others seems to be an occurring thing for every other gym, and since this is MY review and MY experiences all I have to say is that this gym doesn't give ME any issue, since 2019. I don't ask for any perks or special benefits for being a "loyal member" I'm just a guy that likes to lift and takes it to a higher level and makes it a lifestyle. The only thing I'd like to see a change to, is the hours. I wish the gym would stay open until 12:00 AM 7 days a week, that or Monday-Friday. I feel like this would benefit the gym and its members a lot. The gym is super clean. There are rules and people use their good judgment upon them staff aren't up your arse about them either. Use your phones I mean the sandals make sense as well as gym bags there are lockers upstairs for you to put your bags to create less clutter on the floor. Compare this to lifetime and the only thing is time. Over there it's open 5-12am vs here whenever they open until 10pm. Yikes!!!!! It's a nice facility if you don't want to utilize the almost non existent free weight area. There were 2 flat benches, 3 inclines (one of which could not be adjusted due to missing knob) and one seated bench which was missing the seat. I waited 25 minutes for a bench and never did get one. There was almost 2 rows of missing weights 20-35 lbs I believe and as there were only 4 people using the weights, not sure what to think. For $40 (my fully equipped club charges $25 day pass as does the fully equipped 24 hr fitness nearby I expected a more fully equipped gym. There were a lot of cardio and fitness machines if that's what you are looking for but if you are looking for a free weight fitness program, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I mentioned the broken benches and missing weights to the front desk and he is "going to let the fitness director know" - shouldn't they already know? Anyway spent too much money and didn't really get a decent workout. Just spoke with club ambassador Rocco - he reached out regarding my experience. He explained that I was there during their busy time and they are repairing the benches and will be expanding their free weights areas in the near future. Roseville 24 Hour Fitness... WHY are y'all so funny at 5 in the morning?!…read more First thing I noticed walking in--and granted, it IS 5 in the morning --nobody at the front desk. I saw a lady sitting over at the desk to the left, which I'm assuming is some type of office area, but nobody actually up front to hit you with the "Good morning, welcome in!" Maybe that's just part of being a bigger 24-hour location. That's definitely one difference I noticed compared to the smaller Citrus Heights gym. Even though that location is smaller and everything feels a little tighter, somebody is usually at that front desk with a smile, saying hey and welcoming you in. It gives it more of that small, intimate neighborhood-gym feeling. Here, I guess when you're open 24 hours, seeing a smiling face at every entrance isn't quite as high on the priority list. NOW... about these 5 a.m. regulars. I don't know if these were the Saturday regulars or what, but them boys was HOLLERIN'! Big dogs lifting big weights, throwing them things down, making all kinds of noise. I said, "Ohhhh... THIS is what Planet Fitness was talking about with that no-intimidation stuff." I had to put my headphones on and mind my business. Jokes aside, Roseville definitely has a lot more equipment and options than the Citrus Heights location. It's a bigger gym, and compared to Elk Grove, this one really gives me that old-school weight-training gym vibe. Young folks, older folks, beginners, big dogs--you got everybody in there getting it in. Most of the machines were working. There were a few broken ones, but thankfully nothing I needed today. The cable machine I wanted was a little different and wouldn't lower all the way to the floor. Maybe there was some secret lock I didn't understand, but everybody looked too busy lifting houses and screaming, so I wasn't bothering nobody. You get done what you can get done, right?! I wasn't even supposed to be here today. My normal gym didn't open until 6 on Saturday, I NEVER work out Saturdays, and my whole week got thrown off. But sometimes you just gotta make it happen where you can--and 24 Hour Fitness came through because, well... they're actually open 24 hours. Overall, good gym, LOTS of equipment, definitely a serious weight-training atmosphere. You trade a little of that smaller-gym personal welcome for more space and more options, which I can understand. But not only that but you also start to find instructors that you prefer their cues and/or energy and that makes a HUGE difference. I love my classes Kristin and Marisa. Clear cues and they have no mercy on my hammies and booty cheeks - but in a good way. When I started I was 5 months postpartum and they were very dedicated to giving me modifications but as soon as my strength started to build again, they challenged me without being pushy or making me feel bad if I couldn't follow. Some tactical things: parking is great in the morning but once 12p and beyond hit, you're fighting lunch and dinner crowds in the parking lot. Not impossible but just not princess parking. There are two clean restrooms in the studio. There isn't really a designated bag/shoe place but you can have it at your station or against the wall. Classes are a bit pricey, I have a membership to cut some cost. However, it's a great 40 minutes and it goes by super fast. I find it to be a VERY efficient burn.

There were a few folks there in the morning. Someone was also cleaning the gym too. She was really doing a great job cleaning EVERYTHING. Kudos to her. First off, vibes are immaculate. Purple is one of my favorite colors, so when the lights turn on, it is an awesome setting to be in. High ceilings and a wide array of equipment. Treadmills, assault bikes, box jumps, free weights, barbells, mats, and more. The punchbag set up seem super interesting to me, so definitely interested in seeing them used in action. Classes are available too. I hope timing works out that next time I'm in the area, I can try a class out! A quick glance on their website, looks like they have a free "60-min Body Transformation Game Plan Session" (50 available) as of Mar'23. Definitely a great way to get your foot in the door to see if this spot is for you. Two bathrooms and water fountain available on site. Easy parking in the plaza, which is also a plus. I went back to use the ladies restroom, and I was very upset that it, the ladies locker room smelled like urine and the toilet was leak leaking. The same hand dryer that had been broken when I left, was still broken. There was hair all over the floor, two of the sinks were nonfunctioning, and there was hardly anybody in the gym compared to when I had been in there two months ago. Granted, I used to go in anywhere from 2 o'clock in the morning until noon... and this was around three in the afternoon.... But boy, what a difference in atmosphere. Not good. I understand the original owner had just re-purchased the franchise back in December and had intended to turn it around. I thought that his efforts would be in good faith, but what I learned was that he runs a good old boy operation.... You see I had complained about the manager at the Micron Avenue gym. They can't keep a female nit out there. I wonder why.. I asked the manager and he got angry with me and had me served a restraining order. So I was no longer able to go to that gym. I guess that wasn't good enough for him because then he had me banished from all 24 Hour Fitness Gym's in Northern California.. Suffice it to say, if you're a female, you may not be safe in those gyms. And if you dare to say anything about it, you might just get restrained from entering them..
