Got an email saying the outdoor pool is open until 11:45pm and I thought Lifetime got hacked or something. In my 5 years being a member I swear I have NEVER noticed this. So I asked the gentleman at the front desk and he casually goes, "yeah it's like that every summer." Sir... why was this information guarded like classified military intel?! So bam... hit the weights first trying to look athletic for absolutely nobody, then made my way outside to the pool. Let me tell you something... night swimming with nobody around feels like you accidentally rented out a millionaire's backyard. Quiet, peaceful, and not one kid cannonballing directly next to your face while you're trying to have a spiritual moment floating under the stars. I almost stayed until they kicked me out. This gym honestly has some awesome employees too. Amber always comes in with that motivational energy like she's coaching Rocky before a title fight. Then there's Keith moving around the floor like a gym FBI agent making sure dumbbells make it back home safely. Dude cares about the place and it shows. Now parking... whew. Between 4-7pm it's basically the Hunger Games. Once you see headlights backing out you better commit immediately and believe in yourself. But after 9pm? Different universe. We visited Life Time Fitness for a tennis event this weekend. The facility is really nice and they have a wide variety of athletic facilities as well as other amenities such as a spa, massages, Kid Care, cafeteria, concierge, and pro shop for tennis and pickle ball. The staff is very nice, interacting with members and visitors. They have plenty of space and equipment if you use wights, ehlipticals, etc. Membership prices are a bit higher than other gyms but depending on how much you are wanting to pay on a monthly basis, this might be a good option for you. I'm very disappointed with Lifetime's decision to replace one of the two full indoor basketball courts with pickleball courts. This change takes away a significant amount of space from a basketball community that clearly uses these courts on a daily basis. Full-court basketball games happen nearly every morning and evening, while the two half-courts are regularly used by younger kids, parents working with their children on basketball drills, volleyball players, and at times the childcare center. Once one full court is removed, the remaining court will have to accommodate full-court adult games, basketball practices and warmups, volleyball, and childcare activities. That is a major loss of usable recreational space. What makes this decision especially frustrating is that the actual demand for indoor pickleball doesn't appear to justify sacrificing half of the basketball space. The three existing indoor pickleball courts/nets are frequently sitting unused--even during the current heat wave. I can open the Lifetime app and find outdoor pickleball courts available at virtually any time of day. I've also driven past the outdoor courts in the evenings and regularly see only one or two of the six visible courts being used. I understand that Lifetime wants to expand pickleball offerings, but taking away half of the indoor basketball courts seems like a poor trade-off that hurts a much larger and more active community of members. I hope Lifetime will reconsider and find a way to expand pickleball without eliminating essential basketball and multi-purpose space. read more

Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable I pay almost $400 a month for this gym for myself and my daughter. One of the main reasons I chose this gym was the tennis facilities and the ability to actually play and practice tennis here. Right now, the tennis shop is closed for renovations. Fine -- I understand that things need to be renovated. But what I absolutely cannot understand is why there is apparently NO ONE at this huge, expensive gym who can provide access to the tennis ball machine. The machine is there. It is sitting inside a locked room. I am willing to PAY to rent it. But apparently no one knows where the key is. Today, my daughter and I spent 30 minutes going from employee to employee trying to find someone who could simply locate the key to the room where the tennis ball machine is kept. Not one person could help us. No one made an effort to find out who had the key, contact the appropriate person, or solve this incredibly simple problem. And then we were basically told there was nothing they could do. Seriously? I am paying almost $400 every month for this membership. Tennis is one of the reasons I chose this gym in the first place. If the tennis shop is temporarily closed, the least you can do is make the equipment that is already there accessible to your members. I am NOT asking for something for free. I am completely willing to pay the rental fee. I am simply asking the gym to provide access to a service that is supposed to be part of what I am paying for. The keys did not magically disappear. They are somewhere in the gym, or there is an employee who knows exactly where they are. Instead of spending 30 minutes trying to find someone who could help, we were essentially dismissed. This is incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable for a gym that charges this much for membership. If you charge your members premium prices, you need to provide premium service. I should not have to spend 30 minutes begging multiple employees to find a key just so I can use a tennis ball machine that is already sitting inside the facility. I can't say enough good things about the Kids Care team at Life Time in Roseville. If you're ever hesitant about leaving your child in their care, I can honestly say I'm consistently impressed by how well the entire team handles my children. One of the things I really appreciate is the range of ages they accommodate (I believe children can be dropped off from around 3 months all the way up to 11 years old).The programs and activities they offer are truly fantastic. Jacqueline and Bella in particular are exceptional. They're both warm, professional, and very attentive, and it's clear they care deeply about making sure children feel comfortable and enjoy their time there. They really help put parents like me at ease. They're patient, engaging, and genuinely caring, and it's obvious they take pride in what they do. I also want to recognize the entire team. They're consistently engaged with the kids, and there's a really positive, welcoming atmosphere every time I walk in. The space is also kept very clean and well maintained, which I really appreciate. It takes a lot of trust to leave your children in someone else's care, and the staff does an excellent job of creating an environment where parents can feel confident doing so. It's such a valuable service for families who use the club, and having a team that is reliable, friendly, and genuinely skilled with children makes a real difference. Many people pay the outrageously high member fees for upscale indoor basketball courts. I have been a member of this gym for a long time, and I am extremely disappointed with management's decision to replace two basketball courts with additional pickleball courts. Management claims this is due to "high demand" for pickleball, but that explanation doesn't add up. The facility already has at least 14 pickleball courts and only four basketball courts. After this change, there will be at least 17 pickleball courts and only two basketball courts. Cutting basketball capacity in half while continuing to expand pickleball seems completely disproportionate. I also question whether the reported demand is being artificially inflated. Every Tuesday, the gym allows non-members to come in for around $15 to play pickleball. Many of these visitors don't just use the pickleball courts--they end up using cold plunge, steam room, sauna and the rest of the gym as well, often with little apparent oversight. As a paying member, it's frustrating to watch discounted day users contribute to the demand that's now being used to justify taking away amenities from paying members. If the gym truly needs more space for pickleball, there are better alternatives. The physical therapy offices appear to be underutilized and could be repurposed. There is also plenty of room along Secret Ravine Parkway, behind the existing pickleball courts, where the unused second driveway could potentially be converted into three to six additional outdoor courts (potentially a total of 20 pickle ball courts), if the number of courts is truly a concern. If weather is the concern, install a covered patio over the existing pickle ball courts. One additional concern is how this decision affects the makeup of the gym's membership. Basketball and pickleball often appeal to different demographics, and reducing basketball while dramatically expanding pickleball will change which member feels welcome at the facility. Whether intentional or not, management should consider how these decisions impact all paying members and ensure that every group is treated equitably. This gym is supposed to serve its entire membership, not heavily favor one community over another. Reducing basketball courts from four to two while increasing pickleball to at least 17 sends the message that basketball players and certain demographics are no longer a priority. Unless management is willing to seriously reconsider this decision and engage with the members who will be affected, I cannot recommend this gym. The facility is gorgeous, clean, and well staffed but the management staff's unwillingness to work with members special needs is a game changer. My experience with the GM, Rob, was like walking into a brick wall. Every idea, or suggestion was met with a closed response . His two most common responses were 'we meet ADA requirements', and I've already looked into your suggestion and it is not possible'. Overall a poor communicator considering his position. On a more positive note, the gentleman I spoke to from corporate, Jeff, was extremely responsive. Management claims staff must check ID before opening any locked-out locker. But when my locker was opened? No ID. No verification. Nothing. Simply a here ya go. Ok. So my five stars are primarily focused on my personal training experience with Roy, in addition to a handful of fantastic employees I've had the pleasure to get to know. Of course everyone knows Lifetime is clean, well equipped, and has a respectful and responsible membership base. If that, in addition to an actual legitimate steam room that all of Sacramento seems to lack, is important to you, then it is worth the cost (assuming you're passionate about fitness). But my main point here was to highlight my expedience with personal trainer Roy. I've lifted weights for years now, and have been part of all the luxury gyms and personal trainers. So the concept isn't entirely new to me, but the experience I've had I did not expect. In short, in just a limited time working out with Roy and utilizing Lifetimes amenities, my life has simply taken a categorical shift. I don't want to get too sappy or lame on the internet, but Roy has been able to connect, encourage, hold accountable, support, guide/lead/train in a way (in my experience) is truly unmatched. Beyond losing weight, the support Roy has provided has empowered me to slowly but effectively kick a crippling sugar addiction I've had for over a decade. This 1 (0) star review is for the childcare ...in particular the supervisor Jacquline....deplorable at supervising children . On my (4 year old) sons first visit she called us within 5 minutes and then ( minutes later to pick him up because he wanted to go outside and she clearly does not know how to manage children or her staff if she is unable to redirect a child to be inside. Also, upon checking in she immediately snapped at him for not wanting his name tag on his back, and she gave no warm welcome or assistance to him entering his first day. The second day she raised her voice at me when explaining to me the emergency door and outdoor play yard door were the same door and proceeded to shout over me very unprofessional and immature . Following these incidents I met with Jacqueline's manager and informed her. I learned Jaqueline has only been at lifetime for 1.5 years and no prior childcare experience and it shows she has no idea how to handle children and that she does not enjoy being around children , which is both sad and frightening she is in charge of the kids care department. The 3rd day I interacted with Jacqueline she handed me a coloring page she had my son color a picture of a devil...you can't even make this up . Then she proceeded to tell me she was going to learn from his first day experience which was a complete lie . Because the very next day she had her associate call again within 5 minutes to pick him up because he wanted to play outside . I told the associate to please redirect him and she finally did . This is not childcare this is a program run by immature young girls who sit around at the front desk and talk to each other and when your child tries to play outside they call you to pick them up even if you just dropped them off 5 minutes prior . Recently, I have started training with Victoria. Victoria represents everything that makes Lifetime great. I was having shoulder pain and fearing I might be relegated to some type of shoulder surgery. Fortunately I was referred to personal trainer Steven Land and he diagnosed me in short order. He explained what was happening in my shoulder and put me on a specific workout to help me fix my shoulder in addition to helping me stay healthy so I can keep playing basketball and golf, pain free!!! I couldn't recommend Steven Land more, he's extremely knowledgeable, a former athlete and a great communicator. He's just what the doctor should have ordered to a former athlete, feeling his age. The kids center is not family oriented at all, they don't change diapers. They don't take your kid to the restroom. They have to be self efficient at the age of three or they can't do any of the events. Also, we signed up $400 a month and we decided to cancel six days later and we were one day short of getting our money back . They refunded me 100 but I only got one time. read more

The gym itself is wonderful and has great facilities, but I'm giving Lifetime Fitness in Roseville a low rating because of the swim department's lack of empathy and accommodation. My daughter was taking swim lessons here when I was in a serious car accident that left me with a broken back. Due to my disability, we missed several lessons. At the time, the swim manager Grace assured me that we could make up those lessons and that they would not expire. Now that I've recovered and my daughter is ready to resume lessons, the new swim manager, Kymaya, refuses to honor that promise. She says the lessons have expired. We already pay a premium for our membership, and swim lessons are an additional cost. I'm shocked and disappointed by the lack of compassion, especially considering the circumstances were beyond our control. Came here to play a tennis match. The facility looks really nice. It has a nice pool area with waterslides, café, basketball area, classes, locker rooms, etc. The place is pretty big. They have quite a few tennis courts. The place looks clean and kept up. The staff at the front desk were friendly. The parking lot was full. Wasn't much parking left in the lot. There was a lot of people in the club. It was busy. After work. I checked in at the front desk. I was a visitor, they checked me in with my ID. I went to the locker room to change. The bathrooms were a little dirty. They needed to be cleaned. You would think they would have hourly cleaning here with the pricey membership. After I got ready, I walked over to the Tennis Center. The courts looked nice, but they had net dividers between courts. There's not a lot of space between courts. I went for an angled ball and I almost ran into the netting. I had to stop myself. A lot of machines are missing bolts or broken. Since this location doesn't cost as much as newer ones, I think it's fine for the value. TMI but I took off my knee wraps after squats. I placed my foot on the floor after I took my shoe off and I found the bottom of my sock turned pretty black (sock was white before lol). Sanitation isn't there. read more

This place is amazing. It has great classes and a very nice workout floor. The people that work there are what really make it stand out. I have a little one, and Emily at the kids academy is excellent to work with. They have tons of classes for the kids and they even do special events like a floating pumpkin patch or parents nights out. On the membership side Mila is fantastic. I had an issue and she resolved it quickly. We were able to take care of the situation via email and now she always says hi in the hallway when we see her. On the personal training side, coach Blaze is incredible. He helped me push through a plateau in just two sessions. During the summer they have a very nice pool, cantina, waterslide set up. They kids have a blast and the adults can enjoy a beverage. I am very glad we joined and I would recommend this place to everyone. read more

My wife and I have been working out at Lifetime Roseville on and off for a couple of years. Once we decided we needed to be more consisted we felt it would be important to have a trainer that could guide us on our fitness journey. After reviewing the trainers at Lifetime Victoria Pham's resume really caught our eye. Our first visit with Victoria started a path to a much healthier life style. Victoria has kept us on track. Pushed us to stay consistent and keeps us progressing to our goals with rigorous workouts and unending support. She is honest with us and tells it how it is. She is extremely positive and motivational. Victoria listens to you and goes above and beyond to help you meet your goal. Victoria will check in on you after hours and is very good at communicating with you. She compliments her extensive workout knowledge with realistic nutrition guidance. The facilities at Lifetime are nice but a trainer like Victoria helps you get the best out of those facilities. read more

I am a family man, business man, and a Christian man and believe me when I tell you from personal experience; Lifetime is all about corporate greed and does not care about its customers OR employees. I have been a member of Lifetime Gym since 2023. I recently started working with one of their personal trainers, whom I wanted to work with specifically because of his physique and personal experience body building. A few weeks ago my personal trainer sent me a text telling me he had a last minute appointment with his GM, Rob and his boss Nick and to go ahead and warm up and stretch and he'd be on the floor around 3:10. At 3:20 I text him and ask if he's on his way, by 3:30 I sent him a text asking to just reschedule, and he let me know he was just fired. At 3:47, I get a text from a Brandon at Lifetime stating my trainer has decided to move on from lifetime, acting like it was his decision. Literally the same hour that they fired him they had another sales person reaching out to me. It's important to note: I pre-paid $3000 with my personal trainer, at this point they owe me for 18 sessions. (They say I only have 14 sessions, because I pre paid under the guise that it was a "Buy 4 get 1 session free" promotion, which they told me they knew nothing about and couldn't honor) So I decline the invite to switch trainers and tell him I would like a refund of the money I pre-paid, because I will be continuing my training with my same trainer where ever he moves to. Via TEXT, this guy informs me that I will not be getting a refund. The next week I attempt to get a hold of a manager, but I'm told Nick the personal training manager is on Vacation. When he gets back, he tells me that in the FINE PRINT, I paid to train with LIFETIME NOT MY PERSONAL TRAINER? He also throws in my face that litigation wouldn't be a route I could choose because I signed an arbitration agreement. He says that they can't give me my money back, BUT if I were to follow through with the 14 sessions I had left, and I wasn't satisfied, they would give me a full refund. I said if you really wanted to act in good faith, you would refund me my money, and give me a session with a personal trainer and if I liked him or her I would purchase more sessions. They said they couldn't do that. So their only route for me to get a refund would be to screw over a trainer and have them train me 14 times just to ask for a refund so they don't get paid on it?? Sounds equivalent to using your employees as a literal human shield. After hours of my time wasted with emails and phone calls I finally get connected to Van and tell her all of this last night. She is some type of assistant manager at lifetime.. And she actually verbally agreed with me, and so did the manager Nick, that when people pre-pay they are pre-paying under the assumption that it will be with that trainer, and they spend that money to specifically be trained by that person. She tells me she will have Rob call me by EOD, then sent an email stating she didn't get to speak with him before he left for the day. I called in today to speak with Rob and left a message, Van called me back. So Rob the GM doesn't even have time for me yet they want to just steal thousands of dollars from me?? She let me know that they will not be issuing a refund. So if you want to go somewhere that treats their employees as disposable, will fire your personal trainer without letting you know and will let you sit at the gym for an hour wondering what's going on, a gym that will literally steal thousands of dollars from you on a technicality when the opportunity presents itself then remind you of the fine print that you signed that allows them to do so... Then this is the gym for you. FYI Villa sports in Roseville is about half the price, has all of the amenities that lifetime does and others that it does not, such as red light therapy. Save yourself the headache and go there, this place does not care about it's employees or it's customers. read more

I am writing this after multiple failed attempts to remedy the issues I have faced with this club. I first came to this club on August 24th and asked them to upgrade my membership to make me a member of this club. That request was ignored for well over a month. During this time I was stopped when I entered the club and forced to explain that I was not visiting and that this club was now meant to be my home club. Every time they stopped me they assured me that they had left a note on my account and that management would change my home club to this one. Fast forward to now and I have been trying to get in touch with someone from membership services. I was referred to Van Parkhurst. Van assured me that they would follow up, upon their return to office on 12/4. After 2 follow up emails and almost a week later I have not been followed up with from Van. Now, Mila Litvinova reached out to me to inform me that the concierge not following through on my request to change the Roseville club to my home club was then "accommodating my access" for longer than it should have been. They didn't accommodate me, they harassed me every time I entered. Avoid this club at all costs, all other Lifetime clubs have been great to me! read more
